I really want to install AW2 DP on my Huawei Watch as I find AW1 very laggy. However I am worried about the warning that it will void my warranty if I do so. Is this because it unlocks the boot loader? Can it be relocked should I need to revert back to AW1 and return back it for repairs etc?

You can relock the bootloader fine but only if you're 100% stock unless could risk bricking the watch, Since Dev Previews are supported on HW warranty shouldn't be void

When I attempt to unlock the bootloader with ADB, I get a warning on the watch saying unlocking the bootloader will void the warranty. I really want to try AW2 but I don't want to void the warranty.
If I proceed to unlock it and want to flash stock AW1 back on it at a later date, can I relock the bootloader so no one would ever know?

Hi, that's my first thread on XDA!
Anyway:
I have successfully rooted my phone, a while afterwards, my wifi stopped working (that's not the problem here, so don't help me with that please)
So I sent it to where a bought it from (a private shop, not international)
And they checked it and everything, they knew it was rooted, they said the spesific Wi-Fi problem isn't covered in warranty, but they didn't say that my warranty is void.
If so, in this special occasion, installing CWM will void my warranty?
Thanks!
My phone isn't from US or Europe. (I'm in Israel and it works fine)

CWM requires an unlocked bootloader, which in turn will void your warranty.

Yes, but I'm rooted, and my warranty (at least in this shop) is valid!
How did you root? There are methods that don't require unlocking your bootloader, if you used one of those then they probably did not void your warranty because flashing an sbf would completely get you back to stock. However, you cant relock the bootloader after it is unlocked. Unlocked boot loaders also are likely to brick when flashing sbf firmware.
So if you are already unlocked, flashing cwm shouldn't cause issues. If you are not, unlocking the boot loader to flash cwm will make Motorola see your device as intentionally damaged since their tools won't be able to work properly on it.
Edit: Sorry, I missed that you are not going through Motorola. If you want an answer you should probably ask the shop.

If I were to unlock the bootloader, would I be unable to return my device if I chose to (within the return policy of course)? Is there a way to relock it?

No one here can give you a guarantee that the manufacturer will accept it but it works fine most of the time. You can re-lock with "fastboot oem lock" in the same way that you would fastboot oem unlock. Even further you can flash the factory stock image back to the device before locking it.
It is a Nexus device, unlocking itself does not void your warranty , by google's own statement .
Although if you flash non factory software, they have the option of not honoring the warranty.
Is there any possible way to re-lock my bootloader and get back the warranty of my device?
Some buddy posted in my Kernel's thread that you should be able to do:
fastboot reboot oem-lock
But idk if this has some kind of sense and after unlocking BL your device is marked as non-appliable for warranty in Moto's database.
https://firmware.center/firmware/Motorola/Moto G4 Play/
Go to here and find right for your moto g4 play edition. And flash.

Don't, after unlock you lose the warranty, if you re-lock after, the bootloader status don't go back to when you buyed the device (In the same way it says unlocked in the bootloader, it also says that it has been relocked), so it's useless.

Yeah, you can't get your warranty back once you've unlocked the boot loader. The fastboot command mentioned above can be used to re-lock your boot loader but that won't bring back warranty of your device.
My old Moto G5 Plus suddenly shutdown and was stuck in a bootloop after an update install (not sure if that caused it), is there a risk that the same thing will happen if I update to 93? I RMAd my old phone and Motorola sent me a completely new one after 3 days. My old phone didn't have OEM unlocked so I couldn't even unlock its bootloader, so my only choice was to send it back to Motorola.
Would it be a better option to unlock bootloader, root and install twrp instead? If the same thing happens to my new phone, since I have it rooted and all I can flash new ROMs and firmware so it works again, right? Is it not worth it to void my warranty?

Should you take the update? Yes, there is no reason not to.
Is there a risk it could brick in the process? Yes, but honestly if your device is stock that risk is minimal
Would it be a better option to unlock bootloader, root and install twrp instead? No, it will void your warranty
The question is, what do you want in the end, a stock device with a warranty or a modified device without one? If you want a modified device without a warranty, go for it. If you want a stock device with one, although I understand your hesitation due to previous issues, go ahead and take the OTA, worst case scenario Moto will replace it again, although you are unlikely to have issues.
You do have the option to make that decision later... Enable Developer Options and go into it and enable OEM Unlocking but DO NOT actually unlock the bootloader, then take the upgrade. If it succeeds, just turn off OEM Unlocking, if it fails you have option to try something to recover it. Be aware if actually unlock the bootloader the warranty is gone, so if on the off-chance it does fail don't panic and try to think clearly.
Hi! I would like to ask you what happens when you unlock the bootloader, and if the warranty would be voided.
I have asked in the Xiaomi support chat, and they have told me that unlocking it entails losing the warranty, even the simple fact of “using” the bootloader voids it (I can attach a capture of the conversation if you want, but it is in Spanish)
I don't trust what they told me, because I think that if you flash a official MIUI rom, and locking the bootloader again, would make impossible to discover that you unlocked it before. But they told me that....
What is your opinion?
If you relock the bootloader, you are safe.
