Adding VoLTE call in ROM source - YU Yureka Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello talented devs out there! I seriously need your help
I compiled LineageOS 14.1 for Yu Yureka from the source. The build got successful. Now I need to add VoLTE to it. I reasearched for it and found I need to use VoLTE supported blob to compile. So I used this this device blob github.com/maulik9898/vendor_yu/tree/cm-14.1/tomato
and this common device tree github.com/shrukul/android_device_cyanogen_msm8916-common
Again the build is successful and now with volte modem also, no phone FC. There is Enhanced call option as well. But when calling, the call is not getting connected but is ended promptly. Do I need to do something else too? Any help will highly be appriciated.

Volte Lenovo Zuk Z1

So as all of you know Reliance Jio sim uses VOLTEfor Voice calls (but ZUK Z1 has to use JioJoin app to make voice calls) and i want to know is there any way we can enable VOLTE in Lenovo Zuk Z1 so we can make voice calls straight from Phone Dialer instead of the app, as i have read someone say that CyanogenOs supports Volte but CyanogenMod does not. Lenovo ZUK Z1 comes with CyanogenOs 12.1 i think.
So i want to know if any of u who is using CyanogenOS 13 or 12.1 is able to use VOLTE to make voice calls without JioJoin app and how ? These are the steps which i figured to enable VOLTE in stock Android maybe as i am not sure if its same in CYANOGENOS too.
First of all Open the Dialer of your smartphone
Now Dial *#*#4636#* .
After Dialing the above number you will see the phone information .
Now in the options there will be a option to activate LTE services , just enable that
After enabling go to the Cellular Network Settings .
Now enable Enable Enhanced 4G LTE Mode .
After Enabling make a Reboot of your smartphone .
Using COS 12.1 with ZUK Z1.
The CPU of ZUK Z1, Qualcomm 801 can easily support VoLTE but the feature is not enabled by Cyanogen, at least not on COS 12.1.
So yes, you'd still need the JIOJoin app to make calls over the JIO network.
Have any one tried??
Is it possible to use voLTE using ZUI in Zuk z1??
i tried but its is not working even i changed os to cm13.1 i am getting lte but volte is not working code mentioned above is not a correct one correct one is *#*#4636#*#* this will support in this mobile but no perfect rom yet
I just bought this mobile. Do we have any kind of update on it?
I don't think you will get any updates officially.. If u install any ROM manger app, you can see that OTA is disabled...
And cyanogen has stopped working on ROM they are working on apps now...
After warranty period u better try ZUI 2.0, cm13
Anyone is using volte on zuk z1? Pls let us know, how ?

Why you tell me that? I know this already, it's discussed a lot here... It doesn't help anything to post every week a request for volte here. You said it: it's lenovo part to push an ota update for Modem as already discussed here.
So please, if you want volte, send requests to lenovo not xda forums!

It was to be expected that zuk z1 will be the ugly son of lenovo and they support more the Motorola devices for example. You see that behavior in the missing MM update. Zuk z1 is a great device, but not much promoted and support by its manufacturer :crying: but not much we can do,except spamming lenovo for pushing updates.

Yeah bro... It hurts!
The only reply they're giving to people on their official website is that .....VoLTE And Android marshmallow will be released when they'll be available..... We can't expect anything as cos is dead and these people are also ain't replying to people's questions on their official website..... They only ask us to wait patiently and we all are repenting for purchasing this mobile

Can we port volte from Xperia z3
Xperia Z3 with same specs as our zuk Z1 has volte support ..... Can we port it to our zuk Z1...... Just asking????
I'm using Zuk z1 worst mobile for around 6 months yet I doesn't got single update.
Today I called customer service for volte update support.
He told me Zuk z1 never get any update as CyanogenMod shutdown.
So guy here is my doubt I'm using many custom ROMs but no ROM provide volte support.
If the issue is with software than why don't the custom ROM developers can't implement it.
My mobile is sucking me after continuous Jio usage.
I have another mobile Lenovo k4 note when I see signal status it is -83
Where as at place Zuk z1 shows -120
Signal strength sucks

Custom ROM devs cannot implement VoLTE in a ROM unless the modem gets released for the phone itself by Lenovo! So, u request you guys to wait until ZUI ROM gets an update with VoLTE (that is also not confirmed).
If you think they can then just try by studying yourself and becoming a dev!

How to build AOSP for Motorola devices?

I am having trouble finding decent instructions for getting the sources for a standard build for Motorola devices, specifically for athene.
I have built for Freescale products before and it usually involves some combination of repo init and patches, but that doesn't seem to be the case for Motorola.
I know the kernel and other sources are available on Github (https://github.com/MotorolaMobilityLL), but I don't see a manifest repository there. Nor can I find a device repo.
The closest thing to instructions I found was this readme (https://github.com/MotorolaMobilityLLC/readme/blob/master/MMI-MPJ24.139-23.4.txt) (xda wont let me post links, I'm too new a user here).
I am starting to suspect that Motorola is being as lazy as possible and only fulfilling the bare minimum of open source obligations, and thus doesn't provide a device repo, or manifest repo, etc.
Is that the case? I am new to running builds for standard phone manufacturers - are ROM developers around here forced to do legwork filling in what the manufacturers refuse to publish?
Or am I just missing the rest of the instructions from somewhere?
I have the same issue, did you ever manage to successfully complete a build? Thanks.

Nope, my impression of the situation remains the same, though I have not re-investigated. I would like if someone more knowledgeable confirmed though.
It is a shame, as I would really like a "known good" base to work off of and put in root support and remove unnecessary softwares in a legitimate way.
You *can* build LineageOS for athene: (https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/athene/build)
I ran LineageOS for several months, but eventually switched back to stock. Has some strange issues in regards to texting (seems to only work when making a call).
Thanks for your reply. I've just managed to build Lineage OS for my device, and it seems to work ok.
I was previously using Resurrection Remix OS (which I didn't build, just downloaded a zip) and it worked very well, so if I have any issues with Lineage then I'll try to restore my TWRP backup of RR.
I wish I could use the AOSP codebase directly, though...

VOLTE not working on OnePlus 3 Lineage OS 20180521

I recently switched from Oxygen OS to Lineage OS on OnePlus 3. VOLTE was working fine on Oxygen OS but it is not working on Lineage OS. Have enabled 'Enhanced 4G LTE Mode' also in settings. Can see 'LTE' in the status bar but not VOLTE. When I try to make call using VOLTE enabled SIM, the call disconnects even before trying to make the call. Data is working fine on LTE but no voice call.
Any setting that I am missing?

I don't have this device but, your best bet is to post this question within the following Official LineageOS thread that corresponds with the version that's specific to your device.
Official LineageOS 15.1:

Official LineageOS 14.1:

If all else fails, you can always try to obtain some member guidance within the following Q&A thread that's specific to your device.

Rom request (Dot OS)

Hello, i was in the process of finding out how to compile Dot OS rom to share here but realized that my my computer isnt strong enough to do so. Is there anyone willing to compile the rom for those of us who would like to use it? please and thanks. Also, if asking for a rom is in violation of anything please remove this post ;D
That would be great
I am actually planning to do a personal build of DotOS, if I succeed I will share it. (this only depends on my internet connection - which is slow: I will probably buy a VPS to do so).
That great yes
I didn't see this beforehand but I'm actually compiling a build of Dot-OS 2.4 based on 8.1 oreo Right now.
By all means, if someone was planning on maintaining unofficial builds be my guest. Still, I'll post my build on this comment when it's done in an hour or so.. Made with los tree, kernel and muppets vendor.
edit: I removed my build because of some issues with system overlays

I actually wasn't planning to maintain it, you are free to do so. I successfully built my own version as well, but I have some issues with DotUICenter - basically the overlays do not work.
I am trying to download your build but AFH has a temporary mirror and it's extremely slow (60 to 80KB/s). Do the overlays work on your build?

Well I've personally discontinued work due to some overlay issues that I don't have the time to look into and fix.

You have 2 choices: or you find a source started yet, but with a lot of work to do (like, search in github for degaswifi) or you start from scratch, and to help yourself a little more, look for some other marvell pxa device/kernel sources.
