I have a simple T-Mobile MyTouch. Not sure if it's 3G or 4G.. I use Simple Mobile PAYG monthly plans.
I have been using it for a few weeks with no problems..
On Sat, my wife called me on it and everything was fine. A couple hours later I went to make a call and I couldn't place the call. It said MOBILE NETWORK NOT FOUND. I then noticed that the dashboard screen said EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY..
I have done a factory reset. No luck.
I have booted into the backdoor menu and did a complete data wipe. No joy...
I have tried both my PAYG sim and a sim that has a plan.. Same issue.
I put my sim in a different phone and my sim works fine...
I am kind of at a loss to understand what happened and how to fix it.
Any hints/tips/assistance would be greatly appreciated..
Additional Info. I just noticed a message in my header... ERROR: ER05 "Invalid SIM Card"
Says something about my sim card needs to be updated for wifi calling. WTF???

Please help the frustrated me
I put a T-mobile sim card on my VZW Note 3 and added an APN to for the mobile network, the 4G LTE flag shows up in the status bar as expected. The only problem is: when it uses data network instead of WIFI, all non-http network connections seem to get blocked and the only thing I can do is to use the browser to surf Internet. All other apps such as WeChat, Skype don't work at all. WeChat keeps reporting "Server access failure (1, -10087)".
I suspect there's a firewall built in the T-mobile data network but couldn't find any settings about it.
Does any expert here know to solve the problem?
Thanks!

Did you ever get it to work? I'm experiencing the same issue with my note 3 from VZW.
Server Access Error (-1,10087) with WeChat \ HTC One M8 \ T-Mobile
I have been getting the same error ever since Android was updated from 4.3 to 4.4.*.
I have WeChat on a HTC One M8 on T-Mobile. Works fine on WiFi, but not on direct connect to T-Mobile's LTE network. T-Mobile doesn't have any ideas what could be causing this except to say it is either WeChat, Android, or HTC.
T-Mobile did give me a brand new HTC One M8 thinking a new phone may help, but I still run into the same issues.
I have full use of Internet, email and messaging, but WeChat will not connect via the T-Mobile network. It appears WeChat may be getting blocked by T-Mobile when accessing via the HTC One M8 as there are a few things occurring:
1. Continually receiving an error: Server Access Error (-1,10087). Only occurs when there is no WiF and trying to connect through T-Mobile’s data network.
2. Cannot request a TEXT to be sent to me under the Password Recovery feature. It says a text is being sent but none come through.
3. The same with the request a phone call Password Recover feature. It says to expect a call but none come.
4. When sending a data report, it will get to 95% uploaded and then freeze and never finishes.
Any thoughts on how to correct this?

Did you check to see if you have a proxy in your apn settings? That would cause a such a condition if you have a proxy in your tmobile apn settings.

Same thing for me on Tmobile M8 using We Chat. If I go into the settings and turn off and on Mobile Data, it will work for a few minutes and then revert back to the server error.
I definitely believe it has to deal with something on Tmobile's network but their support doesn't have an answer. Someone please help!
finally figured it out
This has been bothering me since I flashed the viperone rom for my M8. The solution is simple, go to your APN setting edit access point, change APN protocol from IPV6 into IPV4/IPV6!

I'm traveling internationally and have had no issues using other SIM cards in my note 3. I can make and receive calls, text, and have data with now issues. However every time I use a dialing code like *77 or *772 my phone says "Connection problem or invalid MMI code." Pop the SIM card into another phone and have no issues dialing these numbers to add credit. Any ideas why it doesn't work on my Note 3?

Since the UICC unlocking, my 306SH is showing this error every time the phone is restarted. Also, it keeps showing the initiating data and voice configuration. Although it is working my local CDMA SIM in India.
Same issues occurs to mobile also.
I have a Galaxy Note 3 with a problem. When i put my sim card in, it asks for SIM PIN and I type it. Then I get "Emergency Calls Only" or "No service. It wont connect to my SIM CARD NETWORK.*
I have tried/Things I know
-Checking Network Operator and select network from there. Tried also "Select Automatically" still nothing happend. It pops out " Registred on network" but it is not.
- I have changed Network Mode from "LTE/WCDMA/GSM" to "WCDMA/GSM", then!! My network comes up in 5 seconds and go to normal again "Emergency Calls only"*
- My IMEI is not blacklisted! It comes up on screen when typing *#06#.
- MY PHONE connects to the 4G perfectly! I get internet to surf from my SIM CARD! It means the phone is actually connected to the phone. BUT why dont it connect to the operator so I can call?
- Also I have saved contacts on my sim card and then sync to the phone, that means that the SIM is connected to the phone.
This is not a hardware problem, I changed the antenna, but still the same problem happend. I believe this is a software problem.
Everything I change between Network Modes, my NetworkOperator came up in the top corner left in 5 seconds and then went to "No service/Emergency calls only"
I have also factory reseted and installed stock firmware from my country.

Is it possible that mobile network signal happen to be poor at the spot where you are?
Hope anyone others below will help you. Anyway, good luck to you.
