I'm traveling internationally and have had no issues using other SIM cards in my note 3. I can make and receive calls, text, and have data with now issues. However every time I use a dialing code like *77 or *772 my phone says "Connection problem or invalid MMI code." Pop the SIM card into another phone and have no issues dialing these numbers to add credit. Any ideas why it doesn't work on my Note 3?

Can any one tell me why my TAB will not recogize my valid, working SIM card from my other phone? Perhaps some setting on the TAB has to be changed?
Thanks for any info.
dude
dude i dont know. i tried the same thing. i have tmobile usa and the Galaxy Tab, along with my HTC HD2. tried the swap, no dice. saw my phone number, but would not txt, call, or receive calls. no data either.
My TAB doesn't even recognize when that the SIM is plugged in .
It keeps saying: "Please insert a SIM card". "Emergecy Calls Only".
This is going to sound really dumb but try shoving the SIM card in further. With certain brands of SIM you can get a "click" without the SIM being correctly seated in the tab. The tab will reboot if you insert a sim properly while it is on.
Problem solved! I thought that it was unlocked, but it wasn't. Followed Rothammer advise on unlocking and that worked like a charm.

I have the same problem with my SIM not being recognized. I have an AT&T Tab; unlocked [verified network is unlocked]; flashed with Rotohammer's most recent JME-Full; Baseband is I9000UGJK3; IMEI is OK; and Mobile Network is HSDPA. Interestingly, the signal strenth shows full bars, but does not recognize SIM and does not allow me to enter the Mobile Networks [grayed out] to change anything. I've tried every fix from every thread I can read here. Any thoughts anyone to get this to use voice and data?
Flash the Bell i900 modem for at&t tabs.
I just purchased a Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N900A), full-price, off-contract, from AT&T Wireless. I used an existing GoPhone (prepaid) account/phone number to activate the phone. The phone works (voice calls) with the AT&T SIM. However, I want to use the phone/device on aioWireless. I have a microSIM for aio. I have purchased an unlock code and followed the unlock instructions. I received a "Successful unlock" message after entering the 8 digit network code. However, I cannot make phone calls (or use the data plan) when the aioWireless SIM is installed. When dialing a number with the aio SIM, I get a recorded message that the service has been deactivated, and to contact AT&T.
When I try to verify whether the phone has truly been unlocked by typing *#SIMLOCK# nothing happens. If I then push the CALL button, I then get the message: Connection problem or invalid MMI code.
Any clues what is going on?

The *#SIMLOCK# code does not work on newer phones so have to find another sim that you verified and works ok in another similar phone.Maybe aioWireless is not activated, does it work ok on other phones? Would recommend a tmobile sim ,because with that if the phone is unlocked then should connect to the network
Hello,
Today I upgraded to android nougat my 930p and after that I have problems with two things:
I have an error "Mobile data connection error" LTE: ESM - 33 EMM - x is it possible to fix it, and let me use my mobile data once more, I'm not even talking about LTE, for me 3g or 4g will be still enough, but at this moment i dont have any connecion by mobile data. (I can send SMS, and phone someone)
Another problem is that during hands free activation, after 5 attepts it restarts and waits for entry 5 times again.
Anyone knows how to fix those problems or have any liks to tutorials that solve them? Thanks in advance!
@edit When I dial ##72786# I have a message: "Connection problem or invalid MMI code."
Same here
Ask sprint for instructions to manually activate your phone. Then you can activate it through the dial pad program

Hi Guys,
Anyone have any idea how I can set the phone H870DS so that if I get a text on my SIM 2 that when I respond it does it using that SIM 2 phone number? I have tried assigning certain contacts using the COST SAVE MODE to SIM 2 but if I'm currently in SIM 1 it still texts them back using my SIM 1 phone number. It will, however, call them using the assigned SIM. I want it to be default without having to add contact then assign. Basically return phone calls that came from SIM 2 with SIM 2 and SIM 1 with SIM 1 and as well as text messages.
Right now I'm having to manually pull down the menu and switch to the appropriate SIM when responding. Very inconvenient.
This is the Indian Version I bought from a US Seller on eBay.
Thank you!
Hi,
We used to use 2 Jio sim's in an Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 phone. The second jio sim in slot 2 was a secondary sim which was rarely used. It's calls were set to auto forward to some other number. We used to keep this second sim deactivated most of the times to save battery. Anyways now we were planning to use this number. Whenever we switch on the second sim slot in this phone a call forwarding logo used to come at the top, although it was turned off many months back. We went to the call forwarding settings for this second sim, the page kept on loading then it said some error or something. Tried it in slot one but same result. Tried this number in Samsung Galaxy series phone but same result. It shows that call forwarding is there but when we click to see to which number it keeps on loading and then show that it is turned off but the call forwarding sign doesn't go away. It asks us to enter a number for call forwarding if we want to. If we do enter some number then finally it displays failed to read data- something went wrong, Check your sim card or network connection, then try again. This sim can receive all the text messages. Since it is not recharged so can't confirm about the outbound calls, texts. If we call to this number then it says that the number is busy.
Isn't call forwarding limited to phones? In this case it has stuck with the sim somehow. Even if I recharge it and the same thing is there then it will be a waste of money. Is there any way to reset this sim or something? If the customer care can do something about it then what should I tell them to do?
Thanks
If you can recharge jio sim than call forwarding problem automatically solved.
