[Q] System UI Tuner... - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions & Answers

Is it missing or disabled by Sprint. I cant seem to get it to work.
Here are my steps:
1. Pull down notification bar
2. tap and hold settings icon (cog) for about 10 seconds
3. once you have held it for 10 seconds, release and you will be brought to the setting menu with a prompt saying System UI Tuner has been enabled.
For some reason I cant get this feature to turn on...Anyone?

They did not include that feature.

Automatic - Slide to lock - Without password

I want my phone to lock everytime I switch it off, so far the only way I can do it is by setting up a password. Anyway I can do it skipping that step?
Thanks

us this. wat im using locks when screen goes off.
Get keyboard config remapping tool, then do the following
1. Add key (press the power button on top of the device)
2. Click the + icon next to Actions, and pick Run Program from the drop down menu (browse to Devicelock.exe located in windows folder, or so it seems)
3. then add an additional Action, this time pick Action Type > Power Management > Power Toggle or Suspend Device from the drop down menu
okay everything is done and voila, your device now locks and turns it's screen off every time you press the power button on the top, and when you press the power button again it welcomes you with the slide to unlock screen.
I have attached all the necessary cab files below, the shortcutsandicons cab simply makes shortcut for you to the devicelock.exe in the start menu.
search for smartlock
The first link worked perfect! THANKS!
every suggestion so far locks the screen, but then I have to enter my password to unlock, it is only supposed to ask every 30 minutes, on my old 8525 i could lock the screen and then press a softkey and then a location on the touchscreen to unlock, is there anything similiar for the tilt2, or someway to configure any of the suggestions in this thread for that functionallity?
thanks
i use s2u2 works awesome no password needed ( but optional 4 the nosies lol)

Ideas for a better UI

1. You plug in your phone to a computer, it pulls you out of your app and shows you a window where you have to click a button to allow the computer access to your files. You then have to pull down the notifications tab and press the icon then press the button again to turn it off. Why not have it like this.. it appears in the notification bar that it's plugged in. You tap the notification, it connects to your computer. You want to disconnect, you drag it down and press it again. It doesn't take you to a separate screen to press another button, it just does it.
2. You hold down the home button to see recent apps. When you hold down on an app name, there should be a button pops up below it saying 'Close'. Faster way of closing apps if you like to do that. Maybe even a 'close all' button on that screen.
sounds like you would like MIUI (it does have that features included)
Is that available for HTC Hero?
Its always been like this for galaxy s vibrant but I'm sure its for all galaxy s

Looking for: Power notifications

Looking for a flashable zip for the power notifications in the pulldown menu. Not the standard one, but the one where you can tap the settings and it will bring down options, but long pressing brings up the full options screen. Not sure if this is available or even what it's called.
Anyone?

Reboot button/widget on Home screen - Tasker

Some of you might already have this but I thought I would share for those who didn't. I added a Reboot button/widget to my Homescreen with Tasker which eliminates the need to hold down the Power button to turn off and then pushing it again to turn on. Saves your Power button from unnecessary use and this is a shortcut to rebooting your phone. Enjoy.
Long press on empty space on the desired home screen and select Widget.
Select New Task
Title it Reboot
Add new Action
Near the bottom, In the Filter section, search for Reboot
Type: Make sure it says Normal
Hit the Back button twice, it will then ask you to select an Icon
Select Built-in Icon
Choose whichever Icon you want for the widget
Hit the Back button (do not hit the Home button or else it will cancel/delete everything that you just did)
Confirm that the new widget is on the screen that you selected and you are done
Credit goes to zeppler for initially helping me set up a nightly reboot task which then gave me this idea to create Reboot widget
Nice work!

Thanks for sharing. Is there a way to add a widget for extended reboot?

I've got one even better. Go to play store and install auto reboot widget. If you use a launcher with gestures like nova then edit your app drawer icon or any other convenient icon and set swipe action to auto reboot widget. It mimics advanced power menu but faster and easier.

REPEAT STEP 2 - WITH THE EXCEPTION - Instead of selecting toggle, select ON and hit save.

- Select Profiles and click the + at the bottom and select state.
- type wifi and select wifi connected then hit back button
-Menu will pop up, select LTEtoggle you just made.
Long press the LTEtoggle icon with the little green arrow then select EXIT task
-Select LTEtoggle again.
-Long press on the TOP GREEN LTEToggle and select unlink task.
-Make sure the switch is on, exit in the upper right and save when prompted.
Open tasker again and make sure its enabled in the upper left and corner by long pressing the wheel.
- You will get an error from toast saying LTEtoggle failed but ignore it or disable.
There is your LTE toggle when disconnecting from wifi. Works pretty well so far...
You can create another profile and select DEVICE boot and add the LTE toggle to it. And you will have an LTE auto switch for when your phone reboots or other..
