Beast Mode Kernel v r15 bug - ZTE Axon 7 Questions & Answers

Found a version 15 B28 bug, after flashing V15 I now hear a rattling sound coming from the main camera module, to prove my theory I ran the camera app and shook the phone and the rattling from the camera module stops.
I am on Zad mix 0.3 dirty flashed beast mode kernel vR12 to vR15.
Gonna try to downgrade see if that fixes it.
Edit: maybe I just noticed this issue today, but I just noticed it after the file flash.

[Q] Nexus 4 AutoFocus

Hey guys, I'm having a problem with my N4 Auto-Focusing in videos. The sensor works in camera mode (Both tap to focus and automatic) but in video, it doesn't do anything at all. It sticks to the focused state it was in Camera mode and doesn't change. Flash works, everything works, but that. Problem persisted in many ROMS, PA Didn't let me auto focus at all, only touch and currently I'm on Carbon's latest beta ROM (Note: I used his stable release too, still didn't fix) paired with Morfic's Trinity TF110 kernel. Clocks @ 384/1512mhz & an additional -62.5mv UV (Stable) Non-UV still has this bug present. I don't know what's wrong, please help. Thanks

You're using a 4.2.2 ROM with a 4.2.1 radio. The only fix is to upgrade the radio. (I think the new one's version ends in ".48".)

Tap to focus isn;t available in Video Mode. However, is it possible to achieve that through some software tweak or an App.?

my friend just pull the battery out when the device is running and then put it back and turn the device on againe this problem happened to me and I searched for solution for very long time and finally I find the solution by Coincidence hhhhh
I'm having the same problem with RR since about 4 months. Can't use my rear camera. It is being detected but can't be used (tried any camera app). When I installed RR, it worked. I have this error since changing my display.
Try to Google it, there are some unofficial fixes out there but I'm not sure if they're really working. I would regard an official fix, but this will have to wait I think.
Such bug has already been fixed with each ROMs' respective latest builds.
Mine too I got a distorted camera but whenever I capture it captures normally, I haven't tried using other camera apps
I've got the same problem
im using footej camera now and it's ok

Whatsapp Low loud mic??? WTF?

Hi shurs!
I have sent audios on Telegram and WhatsApp and it turns out that on WhatsApp, nither reciever or sender (no one) does not hear it as loudly as it should, that is, as if there was a "jam" in the microphone ... But on Telegram (and Facebook, and whatever) they listen well.
it has no dust and nothing more, and I've tried to uninstall/reinstall Whatsapp, as clean cache, data, blablablablabla and NOTHING WORKS!!!
Does someone happen with it? It has a solution?
I've had the same problem since Oreo update, the audio of Whatsapp note have a very low volume even with OOS without any mod(OOS stable, no modded kernel, no root), and even after installing a custom kernel, the Whatsapp microphone bug was present.
Just yesterday i've flashed blu_spark kernel and the problem is gone, now the audio is fine on every application.
Which version of oxygen are you running?

Thanks! But I've to install other kernel? D=
And whats the link to follow?
I haven't got that low sound issue and I am on Franco's kernel.
Can u flash a kernel and see if that fixes it?
(What a dramatic subject title )
For links just go to the OP5 main forum to see every kernel, rom and every other mod listed.
Same problem, someone has the solution without root?
No solution yet? Without custom kernel?
This has been a problem since my OP3T the nougat update lowered the mic gain on Whatsapp and it sounds like I'm under water in Facebook messenger.

Flashlight and camera bug

This bug is not related to a specific rom but i faced it on every rom as i can't get the camera or flashlight to work after first boot or i would boot with camera working but after a random reboot from me i shuts down and i should wipe cache from twrp and wiping cache isn't working every time
Tried to falsh stock , nano and aroma gapps without installing gcam
Tried aex , crdroid and syberia
Nothing happens with stock rom but i don't love it
Any help ? Or someone faces the same bug ?
From your description maybe it's something related to roms with 4.9 kernel. You are using the stock camera (MIUI camera) on those rom right? not the Snapdragon camera or Gcam?

MK2000 Kernel crashing?

I noticed the official MK2000 Kernel by @askermk2000 is closed, so I hope its OK to discuss here. There's a CLANG compiler edition of them floating around somewhere that actually is a great deal better (faster/smoother) that I don't see being mentioned around here much.
Only issue is that I've noticed my phone started rebooting randomly with it. I've suspected a hardware issue for a while so I picked up an additional H918, installed a different rom to test performance, and am now finding that it, too, occasionally reboots when coming out of sleep.
The only thing these two handsets have in common is that they are both H918 variants and are both running the latest 2.2 CLANG compiled edition of the MK2000 kernel. They are otherwise running different oreo firmwares (one stock, one Alpha Omega) and are both started fresh (no restore). I have to believe something is up with that kernel, but as we have a lack of Oreo kernels with Kcal currently, I'm hesitant to give it up. Has anyone had a similar experience, especially with the H918 variant?
Seems like a Kernel panic- the phone doesn't completely reboot (doesn't show the yellow warning screen) but starts back up from the T-mobile (in my case) loading screen.
Looks like you're getting soft reboots for some reason if it's starting at the boot animation screen (well, not much moving on the pink T-Mobile screen).
I haven't had such issues so far on my H918 running a data-only SIM card on Alpha Omega Oreo, using the latest mk2000 2.2-based kernel uploaded by Phoenix591 over here (no idea why there's also an LS997 version of the kernel as that variant's stock Oreo is unrootable) on Aug. 6. Are you using that exact same kernel?

I've been using the CLANG editions. I had the regular 2.2 previously, but someone recommended trying the Clang ones as they are superior in performance. Device didn't heat up, seemed pretty responsive and snappy, but man would it just **** the bed sometimes when we needed it most (usually happened upon wake up from sleep- imagine wanting to wake up to see the notification you just got and suddenly having the device reboot).
Good news is that I dirty reflashed AO rom and this time chose to leave stock Kernel intact and did NOT flash MK kernel on top of it, and now it seems to have eliminated the rebooting. It was definitely the kernel. I lose some things like KCAL, so I hope screen retention doesn't start happening on this model, but otherwise the phone seems much better now!
Screen retention will show up sooner or later, especially if you move between very light and very dark backgrounds. Once you see it, then you may want to look into some screen filter apps (non-rooted users do this, and you'll need to make sure that the app has an 'enable on boot/reboot' function) or try some of the other mk2000 Oreo kernel versions. All of askermk2000's kernels, including older versions, are still available over here in lots of subfolders.
