Samsung Galaxy S5 G900H is one of the most neglected phones in a flagship range of phones! And the reason? Because of having an Exynos processor. Why aren't developers not developing no AOSP based custom ROMs for G900H? The source code is available online, and someone should at least take the initiative. If I knew how to do develop a ROM from scratch or If someone could teach me, I would have done it. But that is not the case. Are there people who have the skills to do the impossible? How do they make an AOSP ROM compatible for a device?
Well we can start a bounty but to be honest i'm going to get rid of my g900h as soon as the new Nexus comes out.

That is so true.. I find that all development happens for all the other major phones except the g900h.. and I feel so left out of the whole loop... *sigh*
Wait for some days. it is coming

I wanted to raise awareness.. This is because, the G900H is a very common variant in Asian, African and South American countries but has few developers for it..

Please be patient , we will update here our progress whenever we fix anything

to get attention to our mate 7 .. may get cm13
http://forum.cyanogenmod.org/topic/121707-huawei-mate-7-cm13-requset
there will be no custom roms until the kernel sources are released. at the moment only kitkat is available. i have been in communication with a huawei rep and he says he will communicate with huawei on releasing the kernel source. imho, i think we might get the LP kernel sometime soon. he has been able to get other kernels posted on huawei forums. ill contact him in a week to monitor the progress.
yes please develop CM13 for Mate 7 which come with default fingerprint support. Definitely will get better battery time and speed with CM13. like a lot customization from CM rom.
It would be more then great, when cm13 could come to our mate 7. ???
I'd love to see CM13 available with proper hardware support
If we could get Xposed on it as well, working properly, that would be awesome.
Don't forget we have two versions of Mate 7.
Please ask for support on CM forum, they must see our interest, I also give reply to that thread
we all would love cm13..... or cm12 for that matter but its not up to them. they can build a rom without the proper tools. in order for devs to build custom roms they need kernel sources which huawei has not been to good at releasing. so far it seems that only a small few even care about this.
i hope so

Then learn ! We all started from nothing !
However if there is no port yet is because the source code hasn't been released yet. That's pretty hard for a dev to port a rom from a flashable zip made for another device whereas building from sources is much easier.
So be patient and wait. It will not come before weeks, maybe months !
You know, Xiaomi hasn't released Miui7 Lollipop's source code neither, only kit kat, that's why there is not LP miui yet.
I'd also argue that MIUI is nothing special, and Cyanogenmod provides a cleaner, faster and more enjoyable experience, so there isn't much incentive for developers to work with it, especially since much of the source code isn't available for Lollipop. If you REALLY want a decent MIUI experience, get a Xiaomi, they're pretty cheap - you could sell your used Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for about the same price as a new Redmi Note 3.

The Nexus 5 is THE dev's device. Xiaomi ported the rom for the Nexus 5 themselves.
And galaxy j5 has the same specs than the xiaomi redmi 2 so the port was easier. However if you check the thread many things are not working (like cellular data)... That's a lot of work for the dev.
DIY.

To the people who are going to port the Galaxy S8 and Note 8 to the Note 4. Please for the love of god do not integrate root in the ROMS so that we can use android pay and Pokemon go. Also leave instructions for us to customize the ROM from WIN-RAR so that we wont need to install root into our devices. Thank you
For the last time.. THE GALAXY NOTE 4 DOES NOT BECOME A NOUGAT UPDATE! You can NOT migrate 7.0 Firmeware to 6.0.1 if the hardware is different!

Im confused. If the Note 2 can get a port of Android N
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-2/orig-development/rom-cyanogenmod-14-0-n7100-t3487568
then how come the Note 4 wont get a ported Galaxy S8 or Note 8 ROM with Android N since they are porting them with Android M

Do not post request in the development threads please. You are more than welcone to port the S8 and Note 8 when they are released yourself. Xda isn't a place to come and get free stuff to make your phone cool, it's a place for developers to come together and share idea's and work

Then how the Note 3 has a Note 7 port based on android marshmallow when it's last update was lollipop? I don't see why this is different from that...

You are right, it isnt completely impossible.
But if you observe, note 3 has more active developers than note 4.
The renowned darkera13 has been working on note 3since the very beginning, even aryamod.
As for note 4, the best is aurora and norma.
Anyways, even if someone is able to port it, forget about those stupid requests, that the OP
has made.

Would be fun to see, but it will probably be as buggy if not more than the current N ROMs available.

I'm not a representative but i believe they've got some progress with Oreo (it boots now, but don't go and ask the developers if it is true, wait patiently).
Regarding bugs, I think Oreo might give a tough time just like Nougat when it was built on Marshmallow sources. But the development is much healthy now so I guess things will be much better now.

May devs will work on current nougat based roms and make them bug free.
Hopefully they will, it would be great to see stable ROMs, I might even try one then, but for now the stock stuff is just fine.
