Language

Hello, i've tried for a long time to write and read arabic on my diamond but it doesn't work propely. I've an english based ROM done by Seiya. Th problem is that the arabic script goes from the right to the left but in the diamond it always goes from the left to the right, so the letters aren't attached and it's not readable.
Coz i'm new, i don't understand very well how the languages are working on the diamond. I would like it works like under windows. I'm a translator and i'm using a lots of differents scriptures like russian arabic chinese and I would like to perform these actions on the diamond. If someone could help me ???

Try to install this rom From Here (where the arabization is included in the Rom) and i'm using it with no problems.
Or Try with this arabization in attachements..

Thank you for the mobidiv, Allah ijaazik bikhair, it works great. However when i'm writing a message the words go from left to right. I'll try you jewel version and tell you if i've the same problem. bslama khuya hasni

a year ago I just have my PDA Phone and I had to go study abroad to China, I had looked every where for a packet that could make my PDA able to read and write Chinese. I found a solution package from "PDA Mobiz" solved me out of this. Now I learned some thing new and I learned about Registry I found a font that make the Characters more Clear and more beautiful from the Official Chinese Dopod ROM. So I made my own package! and it works! (although the font file is a bit big - I still like it (^^) )​
So, I want to share with any other who need it!

Is this Chinese Font included in your ROM WM6.1 M2D?

actually there's another one IME called MeiＨua
It's much better that A4 !
Ｕsing it you can input number,english or chinese easily
and you can also diy your own word library with tools
supplied by the offical website.

Needed help language Chinese for Hero ?

I want to set the language for Hero but I do not have the operating system of it. If you have the lift for me, I really need. thanks!

If you are talking about CHINESE UI... U need to install "Custom Locale"....
BUT even there's option for CH_TW..... I dun think it support tradional chinese "yet"
....
enlighten me if I am wrong... ^^

i am a french user , i bought the hero in france.
My hero seems to have already the chinese font ( i can display chinese character , simplified one ) , i installed the google pinyin ime , but do not seems to work ( may be due to my modification ). I installed the touchpal keyboard and it works perfectly

Anyway i got a question , i am running a 1.5 android os ( modified branche due to the hero ) , and the chinese version of android IS OMS.
do you think that i will can access to the OMS market by china mobile , nmaret.com , to install any software

and also you can edit default.xml of /system/custom/* to get chinese language,and install HTC_CIME.apk or Touchpal for your inputting.

It's quite easy, but it depends on the ROM you are using. Some ROMs support specific languages (locales). To change the locale go to phone's "Settings" app. Tap on "Locale and text" entry and then tap on "Select locale" entry. Select your desired locale and reboot the device.
Sadly I have not seen Chinese locale in SG3 ROMs (probably because I was never looking for it). There is Korean locale in most of SG3 ROMs. Try flashing a couple of stock ROMs to see if they have Chinese locale or wait if someone replies which ROM is he using to get Chinese locale...

Maybe my description is not clear enough ,I mean how to make the ROM support chinese by modifing some files of the ROM.
My english is not good enough,hope you can understand……

...and I forgot one very important thing, the Chinese fonts and grammar! This can cause many compatibility issues. As I understand, Chinese characters cannot be translated respectively from Alphabetical characters. This would involve coding/writing a new/separate module for decoding and encoding Chinese characters. If Chinese is similar to Korean, this is the place to start. Word prediction and autocerrect software would have to be written also - for the keyboard, new keyboard layout etc...A lot of work (assuming there is no Chinese localization for Android).

There are people who do the translation work on the Internet.But they are not able to turn every ROM to chinese version,especially when i find a ROM which i like from xda. I think i should try to find out how they do the work and learn it……

Hi coolriku,
could you made it in english and romanian language (i mean the COA and HAT CSC), also could you get rid of navigation as it's a paid app and add google maps? Also can you add games like angry birds,not the java one which sucks, i mean the full iphone one?

The navigation app is free and that screenshot is with my personal apps.
And About angrybirds? That is iligal and that can't I post.
And About language, I Will try to make à english one soon, I've holidays now
And you can Use your own CSC but U have to Change sometings by your own with waveremaker

As for the part with the CSC beeing modified with waveremaker, i don't know what to do, i only see the files in the compressed bada 2.0 OS. I am not a programmer like you...

ok, but I'm not a programmer, I'm someone that search for things, and get things to work
