You can try to follow my HOWTO for the G9008V, it should work.
If the CWM recovery in that thread does not work, there is a specific one but is in Chinese: G9009W_CWM_recovery_6.0.5.1_CN.tar - 13.4 MB
You may want to contact the developer to ask if he can compile one for you in English: Chenglu

Any success rooting your samsung s5 sm-g9009w ? My dad bought one from china to use the dual cdma and gsm but then it doesn't even come with google play store. How do you install the play store and make it work? I could install but it wouldn't run so I thought maybe I need to root first and install the play store.

hi, cf has added support to this model. I have rooted with success (g9009wkeu1anh9).
to flash gapps, you may still need a custom recovery cwm/twrp. stock recovery causes "signature verification failre". but i still has no luck with a working customs recovery. (both cwm and twrp cause recovery boot loop)

The Chinese cwm recovery I linked is confirmed to work, if you feel adventurous the order of the menu is the same as the english one.
I also have a problem with this G9009W, the sim 1 slot is locked by China Telecom.. I live in Indonesia, so slot sim 1 is disabled.. Is there any idea to unlock and use the sim 1 slot?
I also user samsung sm-g9009w ,, i live in Indonesia, I hope there is a firmware that can install google service ,, because my gmail account can not enter

I bought one S5-G9009W from China telecom planned to use with cdma network in Myanmar but it seems the phone is locked to china telecom for that sim slot. Pls kindly help to guy me root and unlock this sim slot! Thanks bro so much!

hello bro u need to go to phone>*#0011#>upper right> back>key input>Q0000(Q caps) u should find sim lock turn it off and it will work with gsm 3g sim

Last week I bought my Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 SM-g7102, but I have a problem. I already inserted two sim cards inside the 2 slots, but the problem is when I turn on my phone it uses SIM 1 only it should be sim 1 and sim 2. I dont know what to do, help me please. Thanks

Navigate to setting=>device=>sim card manager=> select sim2 to active.

My sim new. Brought only 1 month before.other 2 sim card differant provider working fine.only my new vodaphone have error.
If all other SIMs are working, your SIM is broken.
Maybe you can send it back to Vodafone.

That rom doesn't have dual sin functionality... Switch to CM or any other rom for dual sim... You will get MM as well as the FP with any of those roms

Hello guys,i need help. I have a x520,with small eui installed. I chosed x526 on flashing,since i'm using the phone in europe.
The problems started to appear when i inserted the sims : if i inserted 2 orange sims,i got signal on both. If i inserted 1 orange and 1 from another operator,i got no service on sim 1. I messed up with qualcomm engineering mode apk and now i can't see sim slot 1 at all. Basically,i turned a dual sim phone into a single sim one. At the moment,i don't have acces to a pc to try some fixes,so any advice would be note than welcomed. Thank you.

Try another ROM i.e. MIUI / Lineage 13.0
Nothing worked. I tried all LOS based roms, no luck.
The funny thing is some times, after boot, it sees either sim 1 or sim 2. But not both at the same time. Could it be beause of the modem/bootloader combination? Where could i find a complete package? Thanks

Did you manage to find a solution for this? I have the same exact situation. Slot 1 with no service (I guess that the operator is Vodafone).
I have read that Band20 LTE is not supported by this model but, the Operator it does uses that band in some areas ( frequencycheck.com/carrier-compatibility/8KZ6syo/leeco-x520-le-2-td-lte-dual-sim-x526/vodafone-romania )
Kindly asking for a feedback as I read a lot of posts for this. And I read that you have also tried other ROMs without luck, I will not try the same....
