[ROM] SGA Two End (Chinese Iphone-Like ROM) 22-03-2012

This isn't my ROM, I only put it here for sharing purpose. The original thread of this ROM can be found in http://www.angeeks.com/thread-2032875-1-1.html and this ROM has been mentioned in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1528393 by xarive. Kudos for him, and this ROM is an updated version [latest release was in March 22nd]
This ROM is based on CyanogenMod-7.2.0, Android 2.3.7 and Basehand S5830DXKPB and the ROM's owner has removed GApps
How to install:
Do a full wipe (cache, format data and dalvik) and install from CWM 5 Recovery Mode
Known Bugs:
1. GPS doesn't work, but can be fixed by a method from lagloose that can be find in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1465402
2. Built in browser always experiencing force close.
3. wifi doesn't work, fix can be found in http://www.angeeks.com/thread-2037146-1-1.html or you can find in the link at the bottom, thanks to hydraprime to mention it

only english and chinese

It's alright. I didn't noticed the update because I don't use the ROM anymore. This iPhone ROM is buggy with a lots Chinese words if you select English as your language. That's why I don't like it Anyway, the UI are perfectly modded and if you don't mind there's some chinese words out there, you might try out this.

actually, I found that this version is much more stable than the 18-02-2012 version that put in your post. first time I install the one from your post, I found that foursquare always experiencing fc. so when I flash this version, the first app that I tried is foursquare, and it works. thanks xarive, you are the man! kudos for your post

I will continue to trust the devellopeur of xda.

It feels and behaves just like Dzo's Aurora, i kinda like the launcher...
The Radio and the dolby surrond app, isn't translated...
Can i just copy the files from the system/app/ from Dzo's to this one and flash it?

Its all DZO's aurora with few tweaks i believe that is it
There is no need of flashing the App...If you have extracted Apps you can just move to System/App folder give the permissions and restart the Mobile apps will be installed automatically.

Once again, those touchwiz icons and stuff... what's happening with all these devs that think that's better than stock android??? Everyone with Samsung phones envy the looks of AOSP and we, that have it, are trying to get their horrible iphonish look? I don't get it, really...

I have to agree also (generaly), but in this case they r not so bad, in fact, they can be modified... i believe.
Iam a noob in this area, and this is not touchwiz, a wannabe!?

I personally agree. I don't like those flashy colorful icons.. they so don't match the general ICS look!

Add Google Account Problem
Hi,
I really like the launcher . If i don't like an icon, i can edit it and change. So it's up to the user to personalize it. Unread counts and lots of features.
But i have a problem that stops me from using this rom. I can't add a Google Account. I press the "Add Acount" and nothing hapens.
Can anyone help me with this ?

Try flashing this Aurora-Google.zip it should solve your problem.

Thank you. It resolved the problem.
But now i found that i don't have Mobile Data I turn on and off and nothing happens... I was using last version of Aurora and i've tried many custom Rom's and never had this issue... What do you think it could be ?

Just check if the APN is wiped, You may have to create it again manually.

Just tried out this thing and it worked
Previously it worked on note 3 and s4
I thought it should work on all the sammy phones running Touchwiz 4.4.2
I have only tried it on my tab 3 7.0 3g (SM-T211)
UPDATE : It changes few more apps
Like my gallery has changed

UPDATE2: This mod also enables lockscreen art cover #Win \m/

Procedure:
YOU MUST BE ROOTED AND ON THE LATEST KITKAT FW
1) Open Root Explorer
2) Go to /system/build.prop
3) Open build.prop in Text Editor
4) Edit
ro.product.name=lgsomething
ro.product.device=lgsomething
To
ro.product.name=SM-N900S
ro.product.device=SM-N900S
5) Do a proper or full reboot
6) Voila, you have the S5 notification round icons and S5's recent panel

Have you tried the build.prop edit that makes Holo Dark the default theme of the device? I tried it in JB, didnt work.

Sorry it wasn't build.prop but an edit to the styles.xml. Took me a while to find it again and I can't find the original thread that I used. But this thread had the same proceude only, use the .Dark codes. Here.

It just keeps getting better and better.
The kitkat firmware is very amusing and i wonder how many more secrets it hides from us
(btw its also an bug settings doesnt open up and neither does task manager(wanted to see how it changed)

And it was so freaking beautiful
But the only problem was
The phone and contacts app were not working along with the gallery app and settings app
Recent menu was working
Its just they were not working with the home button
I have assigned a gesture
And it was working with that

File not exist can you upload the .hwt file?
Found it somewhere else

I installed this. Might need to do a factory reset though, because the fonts are all messed up everywhere, with no way to reverse them. (Huge fat letters with weird spacing)
Very promising, because it's truly more than all the other themes out there, but still not quite there where VUI used to be at MM.
edit: succeeded in fixing the font(and the battery icon weirdness) in EMUI theme editor, now it's fine.

You use this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mixapplications.themeeditor&hl=en to edit the Pixel theme. At fonts I selected the one labeled as "stock".

If anyone is interested , I replaced the font on this theme with Calibri ,looks much better now.

Anyone know how to reset the NFC icon on the top bar to default? As since using this theme I can't get it to change back?
I've tried changing the notification bar to stock, the battery is messed up too?
Any sudgestions/help would be much appreciated!

The best way to reset i have found is to use this

Once you have applied this theme , re apply the default theme.
PS : Also found that the EMUI theme in OP makes some of the apps looke funny where buttons with icons appear as numbers.

You my friend are a legend! Already had that theme installed so no need to download it!
With regards to the icons appearing as numbers if you download the font reset app, and combine the two using the theme editor in the app store and replace the font with the font from the reset theme it all works fine and dandy! ?

I've had this update cause "System UI has stopped working" on two different phones. I had to factory reset to get back in. ><

****, I didn't realize that my Samsung backup included a couple from my S8. They enabled even though I never enabled them. Uninstalled and I'm good. Damn I feel dumb. Thanks!

Is it safe to update to this update (i've had the updates disabled as soon as I got the phone)? I am asking for root purposes. I want to root the phone this weekend when I have some time and just want to make sure the root/update are compatible with one another.

Are you using a third party launcher? Since switching to Nova launcher I no longer have stock weather widget as an option.
