Problem during update - orange circle with message "Please wait while application..."
Hi
I'm busy updating a bunch of Yotaphones (CN) to RU v.1.124 via fastboot. In all the cases I've has issues with being randomly stuck, after updating to 5.0, where a spinning orange circle appears with the message "Please wait while applications are installed'. If they get stuck there, even a restart/powerdown just gets you back to the same state with the orange circle. I then usually reflash and try again.
Anyone have any idea why this is happening?
Cheers
Ian
Had the same problem. Just drink a coffee and wait. Took 15 minutes i think.
This took 15-20min on mine.

Hi, tried a search, no luck.
Tonight I did soft reset on the phone after it hung whilst I tried to make a call.
Now when it boots, I get the message:
No GSM
on the white T-Mobile screen, then two lines down, the WWE version number. Before, I think I had 3 lines of information.
When the phone boots, there is an exclaimation mark next to the Signal meter, and nothing works.
Any ideas apart from:
It's broken, return for repair?
AFAIK it has had no knocks today, and has had nothing done to it recently, no software updates etc. in the last month

as far as I know the latest rom update fixes this bug (or whatever it is)
Update Problem?
I updated to 1.20.32 Tuesday morning, reset and the system loaded with the GSM
Played around for a while, left it working for almost 2 days.
Then installed the blackberry stuff. Instantly the system is toast again, and I can no longer access the GSM (No GSM printed again).
I am wondering whether there is a blackberry bug which crashed my radio?
hello
got the Ka-glom game for free form MS winmo website but it freezes on the title screen...
any of you managed to get any further?
could it be a problem specific to the Vodafone UK ROM?
thanks in advance
Eeek. It does indeed make a right mess of my Vodafone TP2!
At first it seemed fine; asked for email address and confirmed it or something, then had a screen with sound controls, then it crashed. If I try to start it up again it crashes or makes everything go black and non-responsive. When it does come back and I managed to close it from the X, I get repeated error messages about it... Soft reset, uninstall, soft reset time
The error message says amongst other things the Faulting Thread is 0x8C2732AE
Tried it on a Diamond2 and it also doesn't work... freezes at intro screen. but at least you can close it without major issues.
Maybe it's just a crap game!?!
at least you got an error message! I get nothing...
checked on magicmic website... it looks like the support is as bad as the game...
uninstalled... sorted...
Ok, I have a maybe problem...I was just checking my phone and it said "DM session disconnected"
So I restarted my phone and now everytime it poots up it has two arrows and says "connecting to DM sever" in the notifaction bar then in about 3-5mins it says "DM session disconnected"
Plz tell me what is going on with my phone.
Update: well now my phones says it got an update so im going to let it do its thing I suppose and see whats up.
Edit edit: The arrows are still there even after the update.
I am not sure but I think that's when the phone tries to connect the update server? I have read couple post of people getting same error when their update failed, so this is my guess based on that.
P.S. Title is typed wrong, sywpe got the best of you.
Hey there,
it's me again!
The Wildfire of my girlfriend got another stange behavior:
Since I flashed RUU 1.37 she receives strange sms,all day long (every 5 minutes or so):
A popup comes up, showing a (random) number eg like 3409362712 and there is a "cancel" and "save" button below.
Any idea what that is and more important: how to fix that?
I guess these are "hidden" sms send by the provider, which normaly stay hidden
but thats just a guess...
I'll try to make a screenshot, next time such a sms comes up..
Where did u download the RUU from?
I got mine from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=836771 and it works fine with no messages or anything.
Every time I switch off and then back on (reboot) It sends some random sms to my gf, but only to her...
I think I got it...
after a bit of research I found out, that my provider sends the coordinates of the cell I'm currently loged in via cell broadcasting.
So the numbers I get are the locations of the cells.
After I turned CB off, it stopped.
About 30mins ago my gf tells me here phone is showing a new update icon, so she shows me and I see it, kinda strange since the AT&T version never gets an update. So it says we need to have a mobile connection to update, so I turn the wifi off and put the mobile connection on and tap the update. Nothing happens.
I than realize I need to plug the phone to my laptop and use the software, so I do that and now its saying I can only check for updates once every 24hrs. So I set the clock up a few days, some error message. I mess with time, same error message.
So looks like im waiting 24hrs, but did anybody get this update today too? My gf has the AT&T version of the Xperia x10, 2.1-update 1 base.
I guess u got the update for gingerbread.
