I am unable to send or receive MMS messages. My G4 Plus is rooted. My wife's is not and she can send and recieve MMS with no problem. I have tried with Messenger and with Textra. I checked to APN settings and they appeared to be fine but I deleted the existing profile anyway. I pulled up the APN settings from my wife's phone and I was able to send one mms. Upon attempting to send another, no luck. In Textra, I tried using the legacy setting. That didn't help either. Everything I have found via Google has not worked. I can send MMS with Google Voice and Allo though I prefer not to use these . Any ideas?

i got latest O2uk rom with latest standard arcsoft mms composer, and i want to send to multiple contacts
i have tried several times to send a message to 3 contacts at the same time which has never been a problem on previous mobiles, but on the X1 it seems to send ok and says it's been sent but none of the selected contacts actually receive the mms.
mms is working fine one contact at a time though,
are there any other apps i can use for mms or any solutions to this problem i have searched the net but found no answers.......
any help would be great
I've tried to change my APN's. I've used both the Cingular one that was default, and the AT&T HPSA+ one that was posted on here. At first things were ok, but now Picture messages won't send. My data still works, but it's slow. I used to use Handcent and it was fine, then I went to ChompSMS when Handcent stopped sending mms, and now Chomp doesn't either.
Any help anyone? I've tried searching but I've already used the APN settings I found on the forum.

Apparently it was ChompSMS. I deleted it at MMS messages are now working properly.
I am using Textra on my SGS4 and have been for a while now...
I have not had a problem receiving MMS until now. All of the sudden I get a message that I can't download a picture on Textra and when I do receive it, it is a blank black square and I can't even see it.
I have images auto-download to my Downloads folder and it shows up fine but when I tap it to open the photo, it shows a broken image.
All of the people I get MMS from are iPhone users. I finally had them send it to my on email and the image came to be over 2MB.
I have also tried default sms app, Hangouts, and Hello sms to see if it was just Textra, it's not..
APN checks out normal for AT&T, rooted, 4.2.2, I377UCUAMF3
(I also went to AT&T to see if they could do something about it but as soon as I told them I rooted they told me to basically leave... Nice)
Let me know if you need any more information to help get this solved.
Thanks!
I'd check for any MMS settings in textra. I know EvolveSMS had an option to intercept MMS and not let it go to the stock messenger and it never worked. Also try turning off auto download if it's on, since that can cause issues too.

If this is in the wrong forum section, I apologize.
For the last 2 weeks, I have suddenly run into this issue.
I have Straight Talk AT&T. I am able to send group text messages and pictures, I can text myself pics, I can send pics and receive in individual messages, but I can't receive group text messages. Funny thing is, I am able to receive group MMS pictures. (WTF?) I have tried this on stock messaging along with Textra and it's still not a go. I also spoke to Straight Talk, but their customer service is like to cadavers about the space-time continuum.
I am on one of the latest Cyanogenmod 12.1 nightlies for my device. I tried resetting APN settings, wiping davlik cache, using the latest APN settings from Straight Talk, same issue. The funny thing is I have noticed is that after resetting my APN settings and adding a new APN, after a restart, it defaults back to the TFDATA APN for Straight Talk. I do not have Hangouts installed and I am using Minminguard, but it's not blocking ADs for Textra or my default messaging app.
For my modem, I'm using d800-30f-modem-blastagator-signed.
I am going to try my SIM in another phone to see if it works, but I may just have to do a fresh wipe. Any suggestions before I do so?
Tried my SIM on another phone that's stock and having the same issue. Looks like a possible combination of Straight Talk and/or my SIM might be the culprit.
Can you send SMS massages?
I recently purchased an axon 7. Everything works perfect except my ability to send MMS and SMS messages. I am on a regional carrier named cellcom out of Wisconsin. They are CDMA and share 4g towers with Verizon. I have tried several messaging apps and none have worked. I have no problem receiving MMS and SMS messages just can not send them. Any advice would be great!
Try manually adding in your carrier's APN settings.
Manually enter apn
I copies the APN settings from another phone on my plan and that's when I was able to start receiving MMS but when I try to send it just says service not activated on network
Talk to CellCom about it - a lot of people have been having problems getting the CDMA services to work on this phone. I would only recommend this phone for GSM service
Cellcom gave me the old if we don't sell the phone it won't work on our network. Everything works perfect except sending MMS. Honestly I can live without it if I have too.

hi,just wandering if it's A2017U or A2017G?
Try a different app. I recommend trying Textra.
I know on B18 or whatever came on the phone originally had issues. Supposedly they fixed their messaging app later on B20 but i haven't used since i bought the phone. Have it disabled.

I'm having a similar issue on T-Mobile using Chomp SMS but only with MMS
I had the same issues with AT&T. I solved the issue by using Textra and changing this option.....
Settings > MMS > MMS Behavior = System
If that is the option you have set, change it to Legacy.
Hope that helps.
I had a similar problem - I contacted ZTE France who advised me on (new) APN settings and to ensure that Hangouts wasn't my default messaging app.
I updated the APN and switch away from Hangouts and can now send & receive MMS messages.
I then went back to Hangouts - and no longer able to send ... so the APN might have been a red herring (I didn't compare old to new settings - just deleted the old) ... and it was Hangouts all along.
