My system partition is now read only, won't mount and I can't root or even upgrade from my sdcard. Basically stuck. Does anyone know how to change this?

Hi Guys,
As i am a fresh victim of ClockworkMOD and my I9000M refuse to boot. Can someone please post a step by step Guide to uninstall ClocworkMOD Manually as i don't have Rom Manager install anymore.
My Internal_sd is readonly so i have to push the files into system/bin and work through adb.
I have tried deleting the files from the System folder but the files comes back as you reboot your phone.
Also /DATA folder has DALVIK_CACHE and other folders read only, However core system not to be able to write anything into /data as it boots.
Any Help will be appreciated.
If you used the RomManager from the market all it does is copy update.zip onto your internal SD.
I don't know what you need removed?
As far as I'm aware ClockworkMod doesn't replace anything - it uses a fake-flash method on the Galaxy S series that doesn't change stock recovery?
well i am having problems mounting internal_sd card. seems like recovery not able to delete dalvik-cache and bunch of other folders in /data.
i have reflashed JGJH2 and problem persist.
after odin finish flashing recovery not able to update. getting /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (I/O error) or (file exist).
any suggestions will be appreciated.
alrright guys, i dont know what happened and it happens first time in my 4 years with android but when i installed CWM my sd got locked when i tried to open it up (to flash zip custom rom) and since then it doesnt unlock. doesnt format, although i can see the files in it and copy from it, but not write. Any ideas?
fix permissions might help i think... try go to advanced and fix permissions...
fix permissions in cwm? where is this option?>
it didnt help. Apparently in cwm it displays the option to delete some files from the card but as soon as click delete it freezes. Whats the hell, plz help
Mount the card on pc with an adapter, backup your files/folders, and then open windows partition manager, delete and recreate the fat32 partition.
Dear all,
I tried to use link2sd on my S6102, so first I rooted it using this tutorial (which is linked in the link2sd tutorial):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1611830
After applying update.zip, link2sd reports 0.00b on /system, thus the error message when starting link2sd:
"Mount script cannot be created. write: No space left on device.
Before applying update.zip, it was 1.4Mb in /system.
What does it mean? Did I do anything wrong?
BTW in this state, I tried to install the 15toggles package, which resulted in boot loop - had to restore nandroid backup via cwm. Maybe the same reason?
Thanks a lot!
To create a mount script you need a 2nd ext partition on your sd card - nothing to do with /system although you do need space there to place the script which I think is your problem
if you have got /system problems wipe Dalvik cache in cwm
if you still have problems You will have to wipe system & data and install a custom rom that is pre rooted
Yes 2nd partition is there and yes I think it is the script itself which doesn't fit in /system
Wiping dalvik cache did not change anything...
Maybe I can find another root "package" and try with that...
So I have rooted and installed cwm recovery, and when I go into recovery mode and try to mount /external_sd nothing happens.
Recovery acts like it is mounted, but my computer detects nothing.
I have tried different cwm recovery versions and I'm getting the same result.
Is this because of the way the Razr itself mounts storage, ie. one device with multiple drives inside and no driver letter, or am I doing something wrong?
Also, when I make a backup, I cannot find it with either Windows Explorer or with a file manager on the device. Recovery can find it and restore from it, but I cannot move this folder around in case I need to wipe it, or just save space.
EDIT
I flashed twrp and the mounting issue persists. I am, however, able to find the backups it makes, I think I will just stick with twrp. Now I just need to find that 1.5gb of backups somewhere on the internal memory and delete them for space
I have quite an unusual problem with my Huawei Honor Note 8 EDI-AL10.
On the Surface it boots up OK, functions OK and you would not know there are any issues.
The Bootloader is unlocked via DC-Unlocker code (confirmed by software) and the phone is rooted (confirmed).
I have TWRP installed via ADB (it's a version modded for this phone since there is not a specific version for it).
I am able to create and restore a Nandroid backup.
The phone is on on Android 7 and was trying to upgrade to Android 8, or perhaps try a custom ROM when I found that TWRP literally can't do anything with the Data folder/partition.
It can't mount it or wipe it. A Google search found a common problem which only needed for me to change to fat and then back to ext3 but like I said it let's you do nothing.
Things i have tried so far are:
Wipe/Advanced wipe/data/FAILED UNABLE TO MOUNT DATA
Wipe/Format Data/type yes, press Enter, begin erase, fails because
FAILED UNABLE TO MOUNT DATA
Wipe/Advanced wipe/repair or Change File System/Resize File
System/FAILED UNABLE TO MOUNT DATA
Wipe/Advanced wipe/repair or Repair File System/Resize File
System/FAILED UNABLE TO MOUNT DATA
Wipe/Advanced wipe/Change or Change File System/Resize File
System/FAILED UNABLE TO MOUNT DATA - Unable to convert to Ext2, Fat,
Ext3 or exFat FAILED UNABLE TO MOUNT DATA
Basically Data is bullet proof and you cant touch it.
The size of data shows as 0 in TWRP, yet it is not? It may be corrupt but I can't clear it.
Within the Android OS if I I go to Factory reset and follow it, it just takes me to TWRP then when I reboot all is unchanged.
Could it be TWRP? But all else seems OK so unlikely. I have tried other versions some claiming to be modded for this phone but they don't work - they crash the phone and then I have to reinstall the original TWRP via
the PC and ADB.
I tried following some guides to format data using ADB but it didn't work.
I have not encrypted the phone.
Any ideas anyone?
If you are suggesting anything technical please put in layman's terms.
Many thanks.
Eric.
