ClockworkMOD step by step uninstall Guide (Bell I9000M). - Galaxy S I9000 General

Hi Guys,
As i am a fresh victim of ClockworkMOD and my I9000M refuse to boot. Can someone please post a step by step Guide to uninstall ClocworkMOD Manually as i don't have Rom Manager install anymore.
My Internal_sd is readonly so i have to push the files into system/bin and work through adb.
I have tried deleting the files from the System folder but the files comes back as you reboot your phone.
Also /DATA folder has DALVIK_CACHE and other folders read only, However core system not to be able to write anything into /data as it boots.
Any Help will be appreciated.

If you used the RomManager from the market all it does is copy update.zip onto your internal SD.
I don't know what you need removed?

As far as I'm aware ClockworkMod doesn't replace anything - it uses a fake-flash method on the Galaxy S series that doesn't change stock recovery?

well i am having problems mounting internal_sd card. seems like recovery not able to delete dalvik-cache and bunch of other folders in /data.
i have reflashed JGJH2 and problem persist.
after odin finish flashing recovery not able to update. getting /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (I/O error) or (file exist).
any suggestions will be appreciated.

[Q] HELP me in Installing [ROM] Kang-o-rama 1.2 FINAL

Hi,
I really love your ROM, But unfortunately i am unable to install completely in my Google Nexus One mobile. I followed all your steps from
Steps 1 to 3 i ahev done in PC.
1.Downloading Kang-o-rama Zip file
2. Copying Kang-o-rama to root Nexus One phone's SD Card
3. Seted up Advanced Installer by creating the directories
<sdcard>\android\kangorama\
and in kangorama directory, I created a txt file with name install.cfg with apps2ext and bootanimation flags only.
I followed Steps 4 to 7 after inserting the SDcard in mobile.
4. Rebooted into Recovery
5. Did a Nandroid backup
6. Wiped Data, Cache and Dalvik-Cache
7. Installed the Kang-o-rama zip file from your SD Card
In Step 7 i am facing the problem, when i started installing, i got System Installation and kernel installation completed. after that i got "Application installing" and after 70% in progress... there is no further progress..
At this point the Mobile is static for more than 4 hours. Can you please help me out in successfull installation..Thanks in Advance
regards
Manickam
You don't have to use the advanced install. Just put the ROM on to your root of your SD and flash in recovery after full wipe.
just a few ideas...did you partition your sd card first? did you check the m5dsum of the file you downloaded?
i would also recommend posting this in the kangorama thread.
you can also look in /tmp/recovery.log to see where it got up to or if there were any errors.
if it got to the step "installing applications" or something similar then it may have completed but had trouble unmounting the sd-ext partition and froze.
if this is the case you can try rebooting and see if it has worked or try re-partitioniong using clockworkmod or any other recovery..
Hi,
I didn't see this tread (lucky actually that I ever saw it).
Since new users can't post in /dev even with replies you can PM me if you have these problems.
I suspect you're using ClockworkMod recovery? If so, try installing Amon_RA recovery, it has less problems:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611829
If this doesn't help or you're still struggling feel free to send me a PM.
No. So far i didt Partitioned my SD card. Whether i Need to partition?
Ya. I am using ClockworkMod recovery. So what i should do now to make the MOD work properly..
Currently I am having ClockworkMod recovery 3.0.0.5. Whether I have to change my recovery?
I have also tried by partitioning the SD-EXT to 512MB and swap to 64mb. Still I am facing the problem in same point of application installation.
Can any one guide me to resolve this issue.

Was this problem solved, if so how?
Im having the exact same problem. Tried with a noapps Advanced Installer, but no luck.
Edit: Turns out, going to Amon_RA did solve the problem.

[Q] Error Formatting /data

I am currently on HC3.2 Honey Villain 1.2 rooted device. I used to be using Taboonay 2.1 and suddenly went off and reboot with boot loop.
I tried to install other Rom yet, all of them stuck on boot loop. I realized that i cannot format /data as the error came out as
error removing /data/data/com.estrongs.android.pop/lib/libes_dropbox.so
What should i do?
PS: i have been reading this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1126364
and i encounter this
NOTE:
If you encounter a problem with the filesystem on /data like it has become corrupt, place a blank file called "eraseData" (without the quotes) in the clockworkmod folder on your external sdcard or usb storage. This will revert back to actually formatting /data.
WARNING: by doing this you will lose everything that you have in /data/media.
but i dont understand how to do that

If you ran a backup before installing a new ROM, which you should have, all you need to do is create a blank file named "eraseData" (without the quotes) in the clockworkmod folder on your external SD card where you stored your backup. Exactly which part of this don't you understand. Maybe I can help?

CWM locked my sd

alrright guys, i dont know what happened and it happens first time in my 4 years with android but when i installed CWM my sd got locked when i tried to open it up (to flash zip custom rom) and since then it doesnt unlock. doesnt format, although i can see the files in it and copy from it, but not write. Any ideas?
fix permissions might help i think... try go to advanced and fix permissions...
fix permissions in cwm? where is this option?>
it didnt help. Apparently in cwm it displays the option to delete some files from the card but as soon as click delete it freezes. Whats the hell, plz help
Mount the card on pc with an adapter, backup your files/folders, and then open windows partition manager, delete and recreate the fat32 partition.

[Q] 0.00b free on /system after rooting

Dear all,
I tried to use link2sd on my S6102, so first I rooted it using this tutorial (which is linked in the link2sd tutorial):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1611830
After applying update.zip, link2sd reports 0.00b on /system, thus the error message when starting link2sd:
"Mount script cannot be created. write: No space left on device.
Before applying update.zip, it was 1.4Mb in /system.
What does it mean? Did I do anything wrong?
BTW in this state, I tried to install the 15toggles package, which resulted in boot loop - had to restore nandroid backup via cwm. Maybe the same reason?
Thanks a lot!
To create a mount script you need a 2nd ext partition on your sd card - nothing to do with /system although you do need space there to place the script which I think is your problem
if you have got /system problems wipe Dalvik cache in cwm
if you still have problems You will have to wipe system & data and install a custom rom that is pre rooted
Yes 2nd partition is there and yes I think it is the script itself which doesn't fit in /system
Wiping dalvik cache did not change anything...
Maybe I can find another root "package" and try with that...

[Solution] Unmountable /data/ partition.

If you are using CWM 6.xx and you attempted to 'format' your sd card entirely, you may have experienced some troubles.
I formatted the /system, /data, /cache manually in CWM and found alot of problems which had arisen afterwards.
After you format these, you may notice that you can no longer mount /data/ ! This is a big problem. You cannot install new roms, or do anything because the /data/ partition cannot mount.
Solution:
1. Using Odin, flash select PDA and your stock TouchWiz based ROM. Also use the partitioning file for the i9505 device. (Make sure you tick repartition in Odin), this process may or may not work with or without the paritioning file, if your filesystem is corrupt its probably a good idea.
2. Once this is complete, reboot, you will see that the Samsung logo appears, and it may appear that things have worked, but it wont work yet.
3. You will need to install CF-AUTO-ROOT. This roots the phone, but it also seems to fix the partitioning issue.
4. Once installed you should be able to boot into TouchWiz.
5. Install Philz Advanced CWM recovery!
6. Use the feature of 'format phone for ROM'. This will format the SDCards /system/, /data/ etc PROPERLY and wont cause you any problems.
7. Install your flavor of ROM
8. Enjoyjoy
I searched the internet everywhere attempting to fix this unmountable /data/ partition, only via a french-english translated forum was I able to learn how to do this.

I had the same issue. I think its a bug present in most recoveries at the minute. I've just taken to manually deleting the folders on the internal SD card. To stop this happening.
I remember, in one day, I had to flash the pit file and stock rom 4 times. I think this is actually quite intermittent. Sometimes it doesn't corrupt the /data partition and sometimes it does.
It's really quite damn annoying. At least there's an easy enough fix - if not time consuming.
