Hi,
I want to unlock, root and install recovery on my 4.3 JWR66V nexus 4.
Which toolkit shall I use?
N-Cry or WugFresh?
Some guys have problems with WugFresh but it looks easier than N-Cry...
Thank's!

Neither. Do it manually and learn what you're doing so if you have any issues in the future you'll know exactly how to sort it out. Being a nexus device, doing things manually is a piece of cake. Consult the guide in my sig and you should be fine.
Hi,

Don't use a toolkit, they teach you nothing and the chances are you'll have some sort of issue in the future and because you used a toolkit you won't have any clue how to sort it out. Use the guide in my sig instead, it's far more useful.
Also, please search before posting in the future.
what ^ said. Don't use toolkits, you never know what they put in. Just know what you're doing, follow his sig link.
Hello everybody!
I am from Argentina, sorry for my bad english!
I have a Nexus 4. The phone had never a modification...
I want get root access in the phone, i understand that i have to unlock the bootloader but...
if i install CM (following the easy steps of the website get.cm), this process may unlock the bootloader automatically? And could give me root access?
And another question:
if i install CM (following the easy steps of the website get.cm)...
Can i then flash the phone with "franco.kernel" to get USB OTG?
Thanks and very sorry for my bad english!

You need to unlock the bootloader in order to flash a custom rom. But it's easy! Here is a guide (including how to root):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/help/guide-ultimate-nexus-4-root-guide-t2018179
About Franco Kernel... Franco's is AOSP based, CM is CAF. It may work, but with wrong colours (or it may cause bootloops). Look for a CM/CAF basedkernel with usb-otg support in the Development forum, or take a look at this thread:

Hello meatboy371, thanks for your answer...
So, does the installation program of CM does not unlock the bootloader? I have to do it manually?
Look this (is a website):
wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/CyanogenMod_Installer
Do I need to root my phone before installing?
No. You can have a rooted phone, or not. The installer doesn't care. However, to be in a supported configuration, you need to be running a stock ROM.
Do I need to unlock my bootloader first?
No, you don't. If your bootloader is locked, we'll unlock it for you.
So, can i install CM in my phone without any modifications?
And then, will the bootloader unlock automatically?
Thanks and sorry for my english!

The installer from Cyanogen WILL unlock your bootloader and root your N4 automatically, you don't need any third party app or doing it manually, I did it on my N4 when i got it and everything went fine BUT the process will erase everything on your phone, so be aware of what your doing.

I didn't know that CM installer unlocks the bootloader (i used to flash CM roms from recovery), thanks for the info.
About the kernel, you'll need to find a CM version of Franco's to work with CM roms, like I said before (look at development forum).
About the recovery, I don't know, but if it isn't changed by the CM installer, you can easily flash using fastboot. You can try TWRP, CMW or PhilZ, there are threads for those with step-by-step guides to flash.
Thanks meatboy371!!!
Thanks blusydays!!!

Greetings.
You have to have unlocked bootloader in order to get root.Make sure you have a backup of your important files. Then, download the Nexus Root Toolkit. It's sooooo noob friendly and easy to use. It will get you rooted in a second. It will also ask you if you want a custom recovery(I installed TWRP). . Good luck!

Thanks I will try this
Brought the Nexus 6p and wanna root it but wanted to ask do I need to unlock the bootloader to root, and what does a unlocked bootloader do compared to rooting.
Also do I lose anything such as finger print when rooting or unlocking bootloader? As this was the case with my old Samsung and I don't wanna ruin this phone.
Sorry if this has been answered but I googled alot and found mixed answers
In order to root you have to unlock your boot loader.. Unlocking your boot loader has no effect on the fingerprint scanner..
Make sure you read the general section of you plan on rooting.. Once you root you can stay with the stock rom or install custom roms.

To gain root access you need to install SuperSU, to install SuperSU you need TWRP recovery, to install TWRP recovery you need an unlocked bootloader. An unlocked bootloader just allows you to flash images to the partitions on your device. It's all in my guide here:

Thanks for verifying the fingerprint, I wasn't sure if it was like Samsung and Knox , think I'll root soon as
Are there any other features that get removed with root/unlocking bootloader, and I assume warranty gets put back if you put it all back to factory IMG?

No, everything works. And your warranty isn't affected.
