Hey all,
My dad has a GS5 and recently he's having trouble turning on his Bluetooth. Menu is accessible, but the toggle will switch off immediately after he puts it on. Any suggestions? Can FDR but would rather not.

I know that this question belong in the relevant development forums, but I'm too new to post there.
Bell Canada S4 and after running TW 4.2.2 decided that I wanted to try Kitkat.
Started with the "Gummy" rom and install was fine. Worked well as a daily driver except for Bluetooth with my car (a 2012 Golf TDI). Every 5 minutes or so I will see the car display telling me the phone has been disconnected and then a minute later it reconnects. It would also disconnect mid-call. After some random time of doing this, the Bluetooth will "lock" in the turning on stage. By that I mean that if you go to the Bluetooth settings, it will say Bluetooth is turning on, and never go anywhere or connect. The only way to reset it was to restart the phone. If I was sitting in the car and working with it when it disconnected, I would see a message "Bluetooth Share has stopped" on the phone
Similar experience with Dandriod. Except that instead of locking up trying to turn on Bluetooth, the phone will reboot.
Anybody have any suggestions on where to look? And yes I clean flashed the ROMs, with a wipe cache/davlik after install. I'm liking 4.4 overall, but I need Bluetooth working consistently. The fine for driving with a phone in your hand is something I don't want to pay for.
Hey all. My nephew has this tablet and I'm having issues getting the WiFi to turn on. It is constantly trying to turn on and I can't stop it even after turning phone off and on.
Any suggestions? Its on 4.4.4
Thanks.
Hi,
I have a problem, i had android 4.3 and one day my nexus turned off. Now also randomly turns off. I thought it was an application, but I did the factory settings and I updated to version 5.0.1, but the problem is all the time.
I used logcat to see what turns off the phone, but I do not understand .. While debugging, I ran a few applications, wifi, mozilla, etc. and suddenly the phone turned off.
I put the logs, if anyone can help me out and tell me what is the reason for shutdown?
Thank you
Ok so I recently upgraded from a LG G2 to a G4, because my G2 was bricked. But I was hoping to still use the G2 for music and games so on road trips I don't need to waste battery on my G4. But the wi-fi won't work on my G2.
My G2 had the problem of just randomly restarting, sitting on a table or going on snapchat, you name it. But one day it had a really bad loop. It would turn on, and off, and on, and off for about 10 minutes, and then finally it stopped, but when I went on the phone the wi-fi stopped working. Not just for a router, but it wouldn't turn on. The wi-fi logo on the notification bar keeps flashing but it won't turn on and when I go to settings, it just says "wi-fi turning on.." I've already factory reset it. Can anyone please help!! PLEASE!!
I'm running KitKat (CM 11 Nightly - 1/11/2016), and I'm having an odd problem with portable hotspot functionality.
If I try to turn on the hotspot, it immediately goes crazy and keeps turning itself off and on and off again - and I see the word "error" appearing in its status periodically. It takes some effort to get it to shut off again.
Note that this isn't visible if I use the toggle tile - it's only visible when I go through the full system preferences (toggle tile causes the same problem, you just can't see it).
I have another phone running the same version of Android (and CM) - and the exact same thing happens to that phone as well. If I reboot the phone - *sometimes* it works.
Does anyone have any idea what's causing this and how to get the hotspot feature working reliably again?
