Hi all, long time lurker first time poster.
I recently got a Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900I) and decided to root it.
Stupidly, I forgot to enable USB debugging before booting into Download Mode and attempting to root via Odin. Now the phone will half boot into recovery then get stuck (stops after displaying "Set Warranty Bit : recovery").
However, if I take the battery out for 5 minutes, then try and boot into Download Mode (Volume down, home, power), it successfully enters DL Mode, and connects with Odin. I get the same issue though, it gets stuck in recovery when it reboots.
Any ideas? I've spent a while searching but come up with nothing.
Ok now I feel really stupid, I tried installing CWM and that fixed it I'll leave this post up in case others have the same problem. Thanks!

So, here's the backstory: I rooted my phone on Kit Kat. I used ioroot 25, and it was easy enough. However, I tried and tried for hours upon end to download a custom recovery. All I managed to do was lose stock recovery/ every time I tried to go to recovery, I would get a Boot Certification Error. I wasn't too mad, just disappointed. I don't really remember what I did beforehand, but I turned off my device. When I tried to turn it on, it gets stuck in a bootloop. When I turn it off, it stays off for about 3 seconds then turns itself on again, still with the Error screen. That shortly disappears, and then it stays on with a blank screen. I can get to the factory reset page, but not the download mode. So when I tried to do this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2663369, I was stuck at the download mode part. I don't have a way to enable USB debugging and my phone has no recovery. What do I do?!
Hello
So today was planning to flash with a new ROM, so i started to do a factory reset from with in android, nothing happened
so i reboot the phone to enter recovery mode to do it from there, using Teamwin for that. But when booting up, getting the message entering recovery mode 5 sec later i see the logo for Teamwin and here it stops.
The logo keeps flashing every 4 seconds or so. Have tried without Sim card, done the battery thing where i remove
it and hold the power button for a while, but all end up in same, the teamwin logo flashing
As far as i can see i can´t enter anywhere to flash the phone as the only thing i get is a flashing logo...
Also Odin does not detect the phone via usb either
is there a way to resolve this?
Thanks
Hi,
I have a Note 4 t-mobile that is "brick" right now. and I hope if anyone offer assistance.
It is running Android 6. Ever since the last upgrade the phone would freeze and reboot on its own. I fixed that problem by installing Wake Lock. After that it would still experience sluggish at time but the phone is still very much usable.
Lately, after watching a bit of streaming video the phone would slow down so much that a reboot is needed. But yesterday my last reboot turned my phone into a brick. After that reboot the phone rebooted itself to the download mode. So I took the battery out, waited for a few minutes and put the battery back in and started the phone. Instead of booting normally the phone displayed the message including "set warranty bit: recovery" and then followed by the flashing TWRP splash screen. By "flashing TWRP splash screen" I mean the TWRP splash screen ( with the TEAMWIN logo) would be shown on the screen for a second, then the screen black out for a couple of seconds, then the splash screen is back on for a second, and the screen black out for a couple of seconds, etc, and never successfully boot into TWRP recovery. I had left the flashing splash screen overnight and nothing changed. Connect the phone to my pc via usb and fastboot wouldn't recognize my phone when phone was flashing the TWRP splash screen. So I tried to flash TWRP again by starting my phone in download mode "volume down + power". When I connected my phone to my pc Odin recognized my phone. But when I tried to flash a custom recovery (TWRP or CWM) it seems the download started but never finished (on the phone I could see the progress bar started but never progress further).
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated1
Additonal info
I just wanted to add that my phone is still running the stock ROM.
Problem solved
Problem solved. Once I used a different cable and the download process actually worked and I was able to flash stock ROM using Odin.
So, I rooted and tried flashing the stock ROM (from Sammobile, same country, same exact model [SM-G950F], I already had the stock ROM and had never flashed anything else to the phone other than root, June security update, my phone had July's) to see if I could fix a problem that couldn't be fixed with any other method I had tried.
Everything in Odin seemed to go well, I got the PASS green box at the end. But then the phone couldn't go pass the Samsung logo when booting up. I left it quite a few minutes, before trying to boot into recovery mode and wiping data. Only to realize that I couldn't boot into recovery mode. In fact, I can't even turn the phone off. No combination of hardware keys works other than power button + bixby + vol down, to get into download mode. But that's of no use, because when I plug my phone into my PC (with the same cable and port I used before to root and flash the firmware into it) it is not recognized by Odin or the PC.
It just has the Samsung logo flashing slowly over and over because I can't turn the device off. By the time the battery dies out I'll most likely have the logo burnt into the display.
I also haven't been able to find any help online. Everyone's suggestion is “boot into recovery and wipe data”, but I can't do that.
Is my phone gone for good?
My device restarted and after a software update and got stuck on a boot loop. I was able to get the phone initially into download mode as I thought I would try flashing it with ODIN back to the previous firmware. But since I haven't been to Sammobile in years, I didn't realize that the download would take hours.
So i tried force rebooting the phone again (vol down+power) in the meantime and nothing happened it was still stuck on the boot screen. So I left the phone connected to the charger and after a while I saw that it was back in downloading mode (but no ODIN mentioned in the top left corner)? I thought that was strange and since I had the download ready to flash, thought to make sure it was in download mode (proper) by pressing power+vol down+home. But this time the screen went black and now seems to be hard bricked and completely unresponsive (with only the blinking blue led) -. I've scoured the interent and the consensus seems to be that a USB jig won't work, will try it though. I'm really looking for an unbrick image to try booting it from the SD card. Would really appreciate the help! I've already tried the adb reboot download etc, but my computer and another one doesn't seem to detect the device. Please help!
