Impressive battery life

So my battery has gone through 6 charge cycles, and I am now getting really good battery life with medium- heavy usage. Very impressed with the phones battery life. Approx 24 hours standby, 4 hours screen on and 30% percent battery still left today. Watched some YouTube, listened to lotsof songs, whatsapp, emails, browser fb etc

Agreed, I am getting similar good battery life as well.
Same here. I'm actually satisfied with the battery!

Check wakelocks. If music is not taking up an hour or so of wakelock, you can still make it better.
So about 12 hours would be considered average/good?

That... means nothing. 12 hours of screen on time is mind-blowing. 8 hours is some extremely optimized usage. 6-7 hours is about what most people should get. 4-5 hours means you have battery life issues. 4 and less means you have severe battery issues.
5 hours and less of screen on time before 1% means you need to diagnose wakelocks and rogue apps.
Ahh, Ok, I was thinking 5 was high.... Thanks for cleaning that up. I'm on the fence about getting this... Doing my homework now... Any complaints?

Have you rooted your phone and do some special optimizations?
Why my screen only on with 20 mins, and consumes about 4.5% power?

Do you mean HTC One? I think my One can last only 5 hours if the screen is on.
How to address the problem? My screen is set at auto brightness, and power save mode is enabled except display option.

Better Battery Stats. Figure out what is holding partial wakelock. Disable anything involving location settings for Google Search and Google Maps/Latitude. If you have MSM_HSIC_HOST wakelock, you have to root and run a wireshark for a long idle period to determine what is killing battery life.

Not really. I will note that MSM_HSIC_HOST wakelocks are seriously the most annoying things ever to figure out. I'm going nuts trying to reduce it, and fixing the issue requires root because you have to install a root application that can sniff network traffic to determine what's causing modem wakelocks.

Yes, the MSM_HSIC_HOST wakelock exists for about 2 hours, and my battery only use 5 hours since last unplugged.
Is it serious problem? I have not unlock and root my phone, is there any other approach to detect that without root?

I was always under the impression that the only time GPS was using the battery was when you could actively see the GPS logo in your notification bar so unless you were always running apps that would use it you didn't need to turn it off?
Usually get 2 days out of mine with a bit to spare..... i'm not too heavy a user in the week though.
Easily get 24 to 36 hours if i'm using it a lot at week.
Really pleased with it.
from 7am to 6pm my battery is left at about 14%. doesnt seem that great. pretty light usage.
only been cycled twice though, so will wait and see.

Phone gets warm and battery drains after 7.0

It used to be the most amazing phone, with the most amazing battery
Now after updating to 7.0 I have a battery drain, instead of 4.5-5.5 hours of screen on, now it's 2.5-3 tops. Also, the percentage sometimes skips number, like 89 straight to 87 and so on. And if that isn't enough, phone gets to 39-40 celsius simply using Chrome for ten minutes. It shouldn't be like that.
What to do?

I haven't done a full wipe but I have reset the phone. As for the doze, I have no idea but I lose more battery while using, brightness is at 30% but it takes 1% of battery each 1.5-2 minutes.
Initially after updating this wasn't happening to me but it just started, my phone gets warm after short use and battery drains quicker now.
I haven't done a factory reset yet, I was waiting for factory images to drop and just do a fresh install.
This happened to me on the N5, performance dropped after going to 5 from 4.4.
Do a factory reset. Problem solved.

Make difference b/w fast charge vs normal

Through my experience, I seeing extra hours on sot or standby for normal charging. And for fast charge, charge is fast but drain also fast. Is that true
I also noticed same thing.

I noticed it too. I stopped uaing fast charging.
You get more sot if u normal charge
Gonna try it out asap
How much difference? Like between SoT on Fast and Normal charge?
Just wanted to know, in order to decide whether it's work giving up Fast Charge
I have noticed 15 to 20% increase in sot or standby in stock rom.

Standby drain

When you sleep, does your phone sleep, or does it stay up all night and crunch 1s and 0s? Rate this thread to express how you deem the speed at which the Huawei Mate 10's battery drains under standby conditions. A higher rating indicates that when the phone is not in use, the battery drains minimally.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
the best that I got with the mate 10 pro EU was 1% lost in 9h15m. this was a couple of days ago. I will try to recreate the scenario and I will post a screenshot.

Flightmode? Wifi on? GPS on? Charge-Level of the Battery?
Mine loses 5-7% in 8h in Flightmode, without Wifi and GPS on when in the 70% Level. Maybe it would lose only 1% when fully charged because the battery gauge stays at 100% for the first few % of drain (~ 100mv on mine).

Yes that's really impressive and similar to what I'm getting. What other users have reported (and also in my experience) is that the battery meter takes a much longer time to drop from 100% to 95% compared to maybe 80% to 75%. You can try repeating your experiment above but start when the phone is 80% or 70% and see if you still get the same rate of discharge. I'm curious to know your experience. Cheers!

Guys, give the phone some time to improve performance and reduce battery drain.
The NPU runs when the phone is in standby so, on the first days it's normal if the battery drains faster. If you are changing phone settings all the time, the NPU unit will try to optimize it again.
Also, the latest firmware from HUAWEI improved a lot the battery.
Mine lost 1% last night. All on as usual. I guess if you remember to closely all apps that help...

Battery drain fast in 30 to 20%

Our lenovo k4 note battery is draining fast between 30 to 20.
Whats the issue is that ?

Yeah i have that issue, when i charge my phone from 2-100% my battery drastically fast, 37 down to 20% and got only 4hours
But when i charge my phone to 2% - 81% my phone not draining fastly and got 5-6hrs... Drain 23-20 or 25-20
But this issue is not in kernel, roms. This is false by lenovo software..

From 2 to 100%, your battery's capacity is 2996mAh (lost ~10%). Try charging from 2 to 90%, the capacity is maybe still 2996mAh. So from 91 to 100%, the phone dit not charge. Some seasons make the battery stuck at about 3000mAh, and we dont know why.

The % battery health is depend on the way you charging. Example, charging from 2% to 99%, the capicity is 2996mAh, so 1% is 30.57mAh and 100% is 3057mAh --> battery health is 92.6%. But charging from 2% to 90%, the capicity is 2996mAh (you try again and give the extractly number), so 1% is 34.04mAh and 100% is 3400mAh --> battery health is 103%.
Ok
I used to charge 2 to 90 but it's charged quick to 100%
But the estimated capacity is low
From 1 to 90%
