I used AT&T S7 edge in cricket wireless. The annoying AT&T wi-fi calling service keeps trying to activate itself whenever I have wi-fi connection. I already set wi-fi calling in phone setting to off. But it still automatically wakes itself up in background. Is there any way I can disable it.

Since the update ive had nothing but problems with service and people actually hearing me during a call. Seems to be mostly at home where I also have a network extender cause my service sucks at the house. At any rate, I was wondering if anyone else has had issues WITH a network extender after the update to advance calling??
Not sure what to do besides unplug extender and hope I don't miss calls.
There's issue if drop out of 4G LTE and back.
Were you having issues with calls before? Or was that the reason for the extender?
You might try disabling the Advanced calling it and see if it persists. If so, it could be more than your extender. If it doesn't then perhaps it's the extender?
Turning Advanced Calling On/Off on Your Phone
How do I turn on or turn off Advanced Calling 1.0 on my phone?
To enable or disable Advanced Calling 1.0 on your phone:
Go to Settings.
Tap More Networks or Tethering & Networks.
Tap Mobile Networks.
Tap the VoLTE Call setting to turn it to On or Off.
You’ve successfully turned on or turned off Advanced Calling 1.0 on your phone.
Notes:
You can access this setting after you’ve added the HD Voice feature to your account.
If VoLTE Call is set to Off, then Advanced Calling is disabled.

When I check "Settings-->Network" the Wifi section says "Connection Available". However, it won't automatically change to wifi from my 3G service. For example, if I leave home my phone switches to 3G, but when I return home it stays on 3G. I had no problems with this on KitKat.
I've tried rebooting my phone, forgetting my connection, playing around with some of the "Advanced wifi settings", but nothing seems to help.
I'm not absolutely sure, but I think my phone DOES automatically switch to the free wifi hotspots provided by my cell company. Could there be a setting my router that may help?
Hi-
In order to connect to my drone, I need to connect to its wifi network to stream the camera and fly it.
My OnePlus 6T (TMobile version) notices that my wifi has no internet so simultaneously connects to 4G LTE, which then disrupts my connection to my drone.
Is there anyway to turn that switch off? I've looked under wifi preferences and turned off "Smart Wi-Fi Switcher" to no avail.
thanks in advance for your help.
If you don't need the rest of your phone, try turning off mobile network? Or put the phone in airplane mode and then just turn on Wi-Fi? (Too bad phones don't have 'drone mode' lol). Have fun!
The wifi setting "turn on wifi automatically" in the advance settings use to work like a champ but for some reason it won't turn off when i'm outiside of my wifi signal range. I can turn off wifi manually and when i get within a saved wifi signal it will turn wifi on.
Has anyone experienced this?
Any advice will be appreciated!
My WiFi never turned off automatically on its own. I had to create Bixby Routines to turn WiFi off after leaving my apartment and turn it back on when I got home.
My phone would constantly be connecting to any available XFINITY Hotspots which is probably why that setting never worked for me the same way it worked for you.
Could your phone be doing something similar and connecting to Hotspots or open WiFi networks without you realizing it?
Mine has never turned off automatically either, it does turn on automatically when im in range, but i have also setup Bixby routines so im not sure if it turns off automatically now or not.
My hot spot is disabled but before this last update my wifi would turn on and off automatically. Oh Well luckily we have bixby routines lol
Thanks guys!
Anyone getting wifi calling to work? For me it randomly connects for a sec then drops. Then when I leave the building and disable wifi the service doesn't resume. Phone is not connecting to the towers and I am forced to restart it. Any ideas? Before I was getting wifi calling and when leaving the job normal service would resume.
