Hello all,
I will start off by saying I'm running the Nougat Beta, I loaded that first day so I don't have anything else to compare this behavior to. Anyway I have a Huawei smartwatch connected through Android wear via Bluetooth. What I have noticed is that the Bluetooth radio on the phone shuts off (not sure if this is an automatic power saving, I did check and I am not running in any power saving mode). I can go back in and turn it on, but then after some time it shuts back off. Any ideas? Has anyone else seen this? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hey peeps,
yesterday my mDJ froyo 4.1 decided to give me trouble so i deleted it and installed the newest 4.6, now i know i'd rather post this in the 4.6 thread but i could'nt find anything related to my issue there, has anyone ever encountered this issue? once i unlock the phone the bluetooth automatically turns itself on
anyone?! this is driving me nuts here.. i'v checked the BT settings in WinMo too, thought maybe the BT is on overthere and causing it to turn on in android but no.. its off, i use flight mode in WinMo.. i'v noticed two services appearing when unlocking the device, one is called Bloutooth share, and the other BrcmBluetoothServices, ofcourse i ended them but they keep turning on when i turn the screen on
Hi everyone,
Today, it's easy to turn OFF Android OS (so the phone or tablet) at a defined time.
But to turn it ON automatically with a app it's impossible because the software is not running.
I have a Xperia X10, when I was under Android 1.6, the phone automatically turn ON when I plug the charger, but now under 2.2 it doesn't work...
So, are you aggre with me that it come from the kernel ?
Do you know what to modify in the kernel to make it work ?
Thank you in advance.
just like android phones can't wake themselves for an alarm, it won't be able to remember a specific time to turn itself on.
Thank you for your reply.
There is a way to make it turn on on power supply, that's finally my question.
Hi Guys
I dunno if I am the only one that is suffering this problem as I haven't seen any posts about it but:
I use 2x Battery to save power over night when I am sleeping, and this turns off Wifi/Bluetooth and GSM/HSPA Data, and periodically will turn them back on every 2 hours to allow my phone to get emails and other notifications.
Since the introduction of Android 4.3 to my device, every couple of days I have to switch my device off and back on again because Wifi refuses to turn on. Exactly the same problem existed in 4.2 but instead with bluetooth refusing to turn on, which I might add has been fixed in 4.3.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Andy
Personnaly, i rather switch wifi and sync off in the night, coz i only have a look at my phone in the morning.
And i can tell that with last update (JR..Y) with data & wifi off, that the battery isn't draining more than 1% in 6 hours.
4.3 included several battery saving optimisation, have a look in the wifi advanced parameters...
Thanks for your input on battery saving methods but I'm trying to resolve a potential software issue with Wifi

Of course. But take care about the compatibility between your battery saver app, and you android's version... JWR66V ? Y ? JSS ?!
Are you sure they are both compatible ?
Did you try to wipe cache & dalvik, and reinstall your app ?
I think that it's your app that's not "aligned" with OS api's.
You can test Snapdragon Battery guru
I use Llama which is a real great app for controlling your phone and it does occur where it will not turn my wifi back on. With all the optimizations with wifi in 4.3 and battery saving I just decided to leave wifi on all the time. So far it has not caused any real noticeable drain maybe an extra 1-2% total
WiFi not turning on after android 4.3 update
Hey guys,
First time poster, long time reader.
Now I've been doing some hard searching on this issue but I don't think this problem has been completely addressed yet (Apologies if it has).
I updated to Android 4.3 today on my Galaxy S3 (GT-I9300). The update seemed like it went smoothly but after it completed I noticed that the WiFi wasn't turned on. Once I click it looks like it loads and after a few seconds just stops. So I simply cannot get the wifi to turn on!!!
I've tried clearing the app cache, and looked at different forums but has anyone else come across this issue?!
Please help!!!
Thanks in Advance.
Hi,
I have a problem, i had android 4.3 and one day my nexus turned off. Now also randomly turns off. I thought it was an application, but I did the factory settings and I updated to version 5.0.1, but the problem is all the time.
I used logcat to see what turns off the phone, but I do not understand .. While debugging, I ran a few applications, wifi, mozilla, etc. and suddenly the phone turned off.
I put the logs, if anyone can help me out and tell me what is the reason for shutdown?
Thank you
Any help is greatly appreciated. A few days ago the wifi on my Avin unit running Oreo became intermittent. Connect one minute without issue then drop the connection, eventually it wouldn’t connect at all. Now I can’t even turn the wifi on, I tap the slider and it flashes but stays off, if I slide the slider to on it will move but immediately snap back to off when you let go. Any ideas what might be causing this? I’ve factory reset, power cycle etc etc multiple times.
Thanks again!
