Android on HP Pavilion X2 10 - Hardware Hacking General

I have tried installing android x86 to an external hdd and booting from it, and I also tried simply running the live version but nothing works, it just gets stuck on the logo screen. I tried the android-x86_64-6.0-r1 version, the Android-x86_6.0 - Remix OS for PC - 64 bit and the android-x86-4.4-r5
I also tried installing the Phoenix OS x86, but I get an error that my device isn't compatible even though it has an Intel Atom cpu which should work as far as I know.
This is the exact model I have: HP Pavilion X2 10-n107nc
I would really appreciate some advice, because I have been trying for days and I just can't get it to work and I am running out of ideas.

Also saw this model in UK and also don't want to wait for chuwi for 3 weeks . As far as i know In chinese models of intel atom tablets there is special bootloaders to boot two systems (iwork, chuwi) and on x64 architecture you can install grub and android image, the best option is to write to intel atom section

[Q] Full Windows Smartphone?

Hello,
is it possible to install a full Windows 8 OS on a smartphone with Intel Atom Z2420 or other Intel CPUs?
(No Windows Phone or RT)

They have locked bootloaders (almost always) and non ACPI compatible chipsets (sometimes). Can't stick windows on them unfortunately, screen would be too small anyway. Would certainly be cool though.
Bottom line no. The space requirements for a full install of windows is bigger than internal space available on most of the phones out there. An alternative would be to find a way to install a working version on a micro SD.
I think, the installation on a micro sd shouldnt be so hard.
But booting could be the problem.
Or would it be easier to install a "normal" linux version?

The CPU's in most phones can only boot from the onboard flash as is. The hardware doesnt support more.
Clovertrail *by design* can only load windows *or* android (it was sold in 2 versions to do so). The windows version physically cannot load anything else, the android version cannot load anything else.
Eliminates microSD booting and also booting windows on an intel phone. You may have luck with linux on one but that can be done on ARM handsets already, android itself uses linux so it stands to reason that clovertrail may be fooled into booting it, but I dont see the advantage over an ARM handset in doing so.
I only need the x86 architecture for some programms.
And no android/ubuntu touch
PLain ubuntu has been loaded on android tablets already and they have the same hardware as phones. Most linux software is open source and somewhat easily ported to ARM as is.
Yes, i know.
But i didn´t find something for a x86 phone and if for example full ubuntu on Motorola Razr I or Lenovo K900 is the same ubuntu like on a pc, where i also can run x86-only programms.

Lost sound with update
Hi Guys. After days of setting up my cheap X86_64 Chuwi Android box to run PhoenixOS and windows and to boot normally I lost sound after update. I had the hacked 2.0.1 version with gapps and root from a forum on the PhoenixOS website. Sorry I can't post links yet. So somehow someone got sound to work on this device but not sure how they did it. Windows says my soundcard is a Intel SST Audio Device (WDM). So now I have 2.0.2 but no sound. . Any Ideas?
Hey , where to download 2.0.2 32bit ? 64 bit is not working for me , same Problem like remix 64, blisspop 64 and all other Android x86_64 ... Just looping before bootlogo. I dont understand why becorse win 7 and 10 64 also working fine like of all Android x86 32. thanks
Version 2.0 is available for 32b
@wizmart
I know but 2.0.0 is not the same as 2.0.2 i will try it today , but i dont understand why 64 bit is looping while win 64 is working. I hope soon every New Version would be arriveable AS 32 bit , many people i know only can use 32 bit on older PCs.
stucks at a black screen..seems to be a bootloop on my laptop..(amd a4-6210)
tried dual booting with ubuntu and windows..same result
but boots fine on my computer with intel i3 and nvidia card!
can anyone tell me what is the problem and if there is a 32 bit version that will work? i need this for development processes!

Problems with installation

Hi all, I've searched online for a solution, but anything, now I've found this section on XDA.
I've used Rufus to burn a USB stick with Phoenix installer iso from the official site, I've installed fine in my hard disk (to get windows and Phoenix separate), but when I try to boot it get stucked on Android x86_64 command line.
My specs are:
CPU: Intel Pentium dual core E5500
GPU: Integrated Intel g41 express
Motherboard: Acer m275 (the Acer veriton mini atx)
I've tried some kernel commands like nomodeset but nothing.
I have this problem with all Android iso, the same error.
Thanks in advance.
(Sorry for my bad English, I'm Italian)
same problem here...

Just made an Installation video here on how to do it, downloaded the x64 iso version and burned it to a 16gb USB stick, partition scheme needs to be MBR for UEFI and legacy bios and format as FAT32, etc etc, you will also need parted magic on a seperate USB stick or bootable CD.
Installation for single OS video is here: https://youtu.be/c68qgPepjFI
If you want a dual boot, Windows and Phoenix, then boot into windows and use the downloader, the iso is for single OS only or Live CD/USB.

Phoenix OS wont boot and doesnt show any text after selecetd

So.. I just installed Phoenix OS on my laptop, using the latest exe file. Once finished, I went on to restart the PC, then, there is a screen / terminal that I can choose between 2 OS, which is my Windows 10 , and Phoenix OS. Picking Windows 10 would boot Windows 10, but when I pick Phoenix OS, it just goes black, then after 5 seconds it just restarts and goes back to the terminal. Reinstalling won't help. Turning off secure boot and fast boot also doesnt work. Please help.
.
If you are wondering if there are any white text or logs that show when I pick an OS on tge terminal, there is, but only when I pick Windows 10, picking phoenix, as I already said, doesn't show anything, just blackness, though I know the laptop is turned on because I can see the brightness, and after 5 seconds, it turns off and turns back on again (restarts)
My laptop specs are.. AMD A9-9420 , RADEON R5 M420, 4GB RAM.
Asus X555BP
have you tried this or this ?
I haven't tried any of those solution, I will try them out. But I am unsure on how to do the solution where you replace the grub file from ubuntu(?) because I do not have ubuntu and also, i do not have any knowledge about that OS. . Recently, I tried installing Phoenix OS via ISO using a bootable flash drice, and it gives me the same result. When I choose install on harddrive, it just restarts on the terminal, when i try boot directly from usb, it also restarts. Maybe theres some incompatability issues on my hardware?
EDIT: So sorry for not reading the whole thing, the grub files were on the attachements. I feel so dumb
Tried the two solutions, none worked. I will read from that thread and see if i can find any other solutions

Thinkpad x100e, AMD NV-40, 4G RAM
I have installed Phoenix Os on a variety of laptop and pc processors, succes install Phoenix Os on Acer A6 and Lenovo A8 with Phoenix ROC : D, sucess installs my PC core 2 duo E7500 with Phoenix Os v1.5 because it only supports sse4.1, and my laptop Lenovo a9 succes install Phoenix OS with a little problem in UEFI bios settings, try to set UEFI to allow access to Boot for Phoenix OS, so if anyone thinks Phoenix OS can't be installed on the AMD processor it is wrong >: |
