L29C432B192 (Official) Stock to NXT-L29C432B560 (Official) Stock Firmware in HiSuite via USB cable without root and without TWRP
Hi!
I have successfully upgraded from factory L29C432B192 to L29C432B560 . With Huawei Updater 2.0 and HiSuite . HiSuite officially offered the upgrade via cable, after I used Huawei Updater 2.0 program.
Programs:
Huawei Updater 2.0
https://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=21886
HiSuite
http://consumer.huawei.com/minisite/HiSuite_en/index.html
L29C432B192 update process to L29C432B560 :
1. Back up when needed
2. Launch Huawei Updater
3. Custom ROM tick and in Custom ROM Version in Huawei Updarter enter: L29C432B560
4. After in Huawei Updater the Custom ROM line (in the URL) and enter this link: ("http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G753/g104/v73563/f1/" without quotation marks
5. After in the Huawei Updater enter in Custom port: 41279
6. Press the Start button.
7. Run HiSuite and is connect the phone.
8. In HiSuite settings (three lines in the upper right corner of the program over the other), Settings \ General \ Proxy Settings \ Custom proxy-na set the address (127.0.0.1) and port (41279), and then OK.
9. Finally press the System Update button, and then it it will offer the new android version.
I did so and went completely through the process remained settings and things to do. Actually, the system of direct updated telómon.
The phone works well without Wipe Data, or factory reset.
If all went well, and restarted the phone, you can then program the HiSuite Remember to restore the proxy (no proxy is). Otherwise, in the future will write the program , that you don’t have internet connection when you want to upgrade.
I do not take responsibility for Errors or damages from the flashing!
I hope I helped!
If you have questions, you can write to me, and if I can I help!
And sorry for my bad english!

No. My build is L29C432B560, OTA update (2017.01.17) like the official in Germany and in Poland. Everything works. BT, Wifi, 4G, GPS.....

The updater should be working for most of the huawei phone (mate 9/honor 8 & etc) right?

I think so,but i'm not sure about it.

Works great !!

Second attempt:
- the build number: NXT-L29C432B560 is now displayed
- the "update_data_full_hw_eu.zip" was not flashed, no keyboard, etc.

Hello,
The firmware number L29C432B320 does not work for the upgrade to L29C432B560
Is it possible to do otherwise to get the update?
Thank you for your answers

You must downgrade to B192. That works only with B192 official.

Will you get b577 OTA with this? Or is it only for the Chinese model still? B560 is kind of old version now. There is still some bugs with it?
Anyway this seem to be the most simple way to upgrade to nougat from B192 EU version which I am on

Do you need to change the location to Poland or Germany before doing this? Does that make a difference?

It depends from ur carrier if u have correct region where update is avaiable via consumer.huawei.com so yes u can.:good: but if u try to update from not ur region so I think its not recommended.
You need to upgrade to b170 first in order to go to 6.0
yes you can.... I've also done it from C185B160 to C185B524
If you can't update directy to b170, you need to flash via fastboot b52, then install local update b170 then update to b551

First you download c185b170 rom and then you update locally i.e. by placing the update.app file in a folder named dload (create one if its not there) then copy the entire folder to root of your internal memory (the one you see when you open file manager)..
Then you can either update by going to updater and via parameters where you select local update, or you can update by following way:
Dial *#*#2846579#*#* on your dialer,

Yes you can update to 6.0 normally from c185b160 b130 to c185b524
just download the update.zip put into (dload) folder or make one
"ican't post urls forums rules in posting"
docs.google.com/uc?id=0B_wHFR4i-b7UR3BZbWFtdXl3MG8&export=download
then do local update from updater menu
tested
here is screenshot from my device

I'm on c185b180 (Android 5.0.2) and I didn't receive any updates. Can I upgrade directly to b525 from the link you've provided? and is it safe?
Sorry to go off topic in this thread, but some of you guys might have already have the latest firmware (B564 or B565) so I have to ask a quick question. Is the unlock screen animation removed in those firmwares?
Right now im on B550 and when I swipe away the unlock screen, the menu icons have an animation (like they are dropping in, similar to iOS) and I love it, but I heard that this animation is removed after B550.

if you take the zip with the B056 version there's recovery in. its a batch file that flashes everything even recovery and system. i recommend doing a full wipe in twrp first (pro tip if you lost you imei after the flash don't worry. just upgrade trough OTA to B170) or you can just download the zip and use the recovery in it

I accidentally flashed Android 6.0 with this. Now I'm getting only Huawei logo for a while and no booting. Fastboot works . Forced update works but it seems that no rom that I tried earlier works. I also tried to flash Android 5 but no luck. I get "Software install failed! Incompatibility with current version. Please download the correct update package." I had version B896 installed.
Is there any way to fix it?
EDIT: I've managed to revert this by extracting BOOT.IMG, CUST.IMG, RECOVERY.IMG and SYSTEM.IMG from B896 update with Huawei Update Extractor and swaping these files with those in b056 downgrade package. I run FLASH-ALL.bat and it worked like a charm - system restored.

All Nougat to P9 Lite have first number 3... Example B380.
You must at first change vendor, then flash firmware of that vendor.

I have VNS-L23 and it is everything I need and want. So I bought another one for my wife. But this guy sent me the wrong phone. And it is expensive to ship, to where I live.
I have flashed ROMS to SAMSUNG before. Quite simple.
Is it possible to flash same as VNS-L23 to the VNS-DL00C17B245? If not, please advise me how to put the correct software on a Huawei.
P.s. SD card reader not working on this phone and neither is sim slot 2, which are the same spots. I imagine Huawei disabled this for China. I thought I read something about this somewhere. You probably tell I have been at this for three days.
Help me please.
Have P9 VNS-DL00C17B245
I already posted here, but no response. I have ADB, TWRP and and phone is rooted. I want to put EMUI 5 with Android 7. Is it possible, how to do it? I am five days on same phone, full days, I tried everything, I read everywhere. I want to throw the phone against the wall now.
It is a P9 VNS-DL00C17B245 but on the back cover it says VNS-AL00.
The SD card reader is not working and also the SIM SLOT 2, which is the same slot as the SD Card Reader.
I received the phone like this, after purchasing it full price, and had it sent. Was meant to arrive a VNS-L23 but the seller was a mother ****er. And I bought it via my sister in the USA, and I live in Venezuela. I am stuck with this piece of ****. I really need any help I can get,
thank you!

Honor 8 Android 7.0 + EMUI 5 oficial released!

I think at this point we can really say that the OTA update thas is being rolled out since 2 days ago is the oficial update to Android 7.0 + EMUI 5!

In order to concentrate all the discussion in one thread, I started this one, so please let's try to keep all info in one place!
For those who have your devices with root, please use the rollback packages to go back to b131 and relock your bootloader (necessary?!) before trying to update.
If you haven't receive the update notification yet, try to force it via the HiCare app:
- Make sure you have the latest version of the HiCare app
- Go to services
- Choose the option to early adopters (if you don't have this option, go to Me > Settings > Location and choose another nearby location and try again)
- check if there is a notification of a new update
- accept and follow the instructions
- if everything is ok, you should get the notification update on the update app
If you haven't receive the update yet, don't panic, as always, not everyone receives the update at the same time, we should only expect it to come out on February, so if we are getting it now we can only be patient and happy
For those who don't want to wait for the update via Hicare/Updater, check this thread that can help you getting the update using Charles app method.
PS: It's not mandatory, but it's recommended to do a backup before the update (via HiSuite) and perform a factory reset after the update!
PS2: It's always kind to say thank you! by words and pushing the Thanks button bellow

I managed to install TWRP and root the phone via this info
The oficial TWRP didn't work for me. The one in the link mentioned above doesn't work perfectly but good enough in order to root.
PS: I add to put the superuser zip file in a mSD card, I didn't had access to internal memory.

Where are you from and which version of the phone do you have?
Nevertheless, keep in mind that not everybody receives the update at the same time...

you can try to change the base country of the HiCare app, just go to Me > settings > location and try with Belgium or Italy for example (it will not change the language of the app!) Probably it won't work, but you don't loose a lot of time trying it
got nougat today Frd L09 UK....

make sure you have:
view last firmwares enabled
view OTA updates enabled
installation via system update enabled
then it will ask you to download this app
once downloaded go to your wifi settings, forget your current wifi, make a new one
put in your SSID
show advanced options>proxy>manual
proxy hostname: localhost
proxy port: 8080
find your correct firmware in th app, than go into your default system update and the file should be there
I had to restart the phone because the download wouldn't start, but it did following the restart
it asked to update, took like 5 mins to update, was on 65% for a min or 2 and I was getting worried
but it worked out
warning, If you brick or phone blows up I am not liable, do at your own risk
I think this B521 is 7.0 Beta, final Nougat is B560.
doesnt work for me on L29C185. doesnt list anything nor does updater app detect any new update.
I have c185 and it shows that i can download B560, but when I try to update, it stops at +/- 40%. My current system is B320. Do i have to get back on B190 to update?
My phone (used in the USA) is L29C185B180, and it shows a BUNCH of updates. Full & OTA.
I've downloaded and unpacked...but it's hard to drop the hammer and install. All of Huawei's
software says I have the latest official, so not sure if I will install or just wait a month for Huawei
to "officially" release it on their software updater.

Huawei's apps kept telling me I was updated as well, installed final version (non test-keys) without issues. Installed one of the OTA updates from FF as well, worked like a charm

I first installed NXT-L09C432B560 v74088 with Firmware finder for windows, then I installed the OTA update dated 03.01.2017 and filesize 431mb from Firmware finder from the phone. If you are going to install from phone, i would install the largest OTA dated 03.01.2017, then the smaller OTA with the same date after that. I tried installing one of the OTA's dated 20.01.2017 and ended up with test-keys build, had to downgrade to be able to flash the proper one.
Dear developers, My set was on NXT-L29C636B211 and I have successfully download the latest B521 firmware ,unpack and dbload created just need some confirmation before flash the firmware.
I would to know it's an official firmware ,warranty status and will it get any OTA in the future ?

So.. I have to downgrade to flash B560? When I try to install it on B320 it keeps failing at about 40%

Obviously yes, it's an official update so everything has to go well.

What build were you on. Just double checking...since I'm at 180, can I jump all the way to the 560 build?
One other question, is this one dumping everything and setting it back to stock? No biggie...got everything
backed up...just don't have enough time to set it all back up this evening.
I Didn't download the OTA, I downloaded the full 2.2gb firmware from that app
the phone is now waaaaaaaaay better, and battery is even better

I have bootloader unlocked and root. Do I need to relock bootloader in order to use this method?
I was on L29C636B221 with rooted and TWRP. I used the Firmware Finder app to download L29C636B521 and update it to Nougat. It updated fine. I wanted to do a factory reset so I did. Half way through, reset was failed, but the phone was able to boot in. Now, it has no Gboard (sideloaded it fine) and the Build Number is NRD90M test-keys. Everything else work fine.
Any suggestion? should I dload it back to L29C636B221?
I can't get it to work. Here is a video of what I did start to finish.
https://youtu.be/T1A825NI2wQ
I tried the 2 560 and the 520 ones using the firmware finder and proxy add-on. The update doesn't start downloading until you switch off the local host proxy setting. Once it is complete and it reboots to update it fails at 1% and I reboot back to my 320 firmware.
I have l29c185b320 firmware currently.
