then it will ask you to download this app
once downloaded go to your wifi settings, forget your current wifi, make a new one

find your correct firmware in th app, than go into your default system update and the file should be there
I had to restart the phone because the download wouldn't start, but it did following the restart
it asked to update, took like 5 mins to update, was on 65% for a min or 2 and I was getting worried
but it worked out
warning, If you brick or phone blows up I am not liable, do at your own risk
I think this B521 is 7.0 Beta, final Nougat is B560.
doesnt work for me on L29C185. doesnt list anything nor does updater app detect any new update.
I have c185 and it shows that i can download B560, but when I try to update, it stops at +/- 40%. My current system is B320. Do i have to get back on B190 to update?
My phone (used in the USA) is L29C185B180, and it shows a BUNCH of updates. Full & OTA.
I've downloaded and unpacked...but it's hard to drop the hammer and install. All of Huawei's
software says I have the latest official, so not sure if I will install or just wait a month for Huawei
to "officially" release it on their software updater.

I first installed NXT-L09C432B560 v74088 with Firmware finder for windows, then I installed the OTA update dated 03.01.2017 and filesize 431mb from Firmware finder from the phone. If you are going to install from phone, i would install the largest OTA dated 03.01.2017, then the smaller OTA with the same date after that. I tried installing one of the OTA's dated 20.01.2017 and ended up with test-keys build, had to downgrade to be able to flash the proper one.
Dear developers, My set was on NXT-L29C636B211 and I have successfully download the latest B521 firmware ,unpack and dbload created just need some confirmation before flash the firmware.
I would to know it's an official firmware ,warranty status and will it get any OTA in the future ?

What build were you on. Just double checking...since I'm at 180, can I jump all the way to the 560 build?
One other question, is this one dumping everything and setting it back to stock? No biggie...got everything
backed up...just don't have enough time to set it all back up this evening.
I Didn't download the OTA, I downloaded the full 2.2gb firmware from that app
the phone is now waaaaaaaaay better, and battery is even better

I have bootloader unlocked and root. Do I need to relock bootloader in order to use this method?
I was on L29C636B221 with rooted and TWRP. I used the Firmware Finder app to download L29C636B521 and update it to Nougat. It updated fine. I wanted to do a factory reset so I did. Half way through, reset was failed, but the phone was able to boot in. Now, it has no Gboard (sideloaded it fine) and the Build Number is NRD90M test-keys. Everything else work fine.
Any suggestion? should I dload it back to L29C636B221?
I can't get it to work. Here is a video of what I did start to finish.
https://youtu.be/T1A825NI2wQ
I tried the 2 560 and the 520 ones using the firmware finder and proxy add-on. The update doesn't start downloading until you switch off the local host proxy setting. Once it is complete and it reboots to update it fails at 1% and I reboot back to my 320 firmware.
I have l29c185b320 firmware currently.

It depends from ur carrier if u have correct region where update is avaiable via consumer.huawei.com so yes u can.:good: but if u try to update from not ur region so I think its not recommended.
You need to upgrade to b170 first in order to go to 6.0
yes you can.... I've also done it from C185B160 to C185B524
If you can't update directy to b170, you need to flash via fastboot b52, then install local update b170 then update to b551

First you download c185b170 rom and then you update locally i.e. by placing the update.app file in a folder named dload (create one if its not there) then copy the entire folder to root of your internal memory (the one you see when you open file manager)..
Then you can either update by going to updater and via parameters where you select local update, or you can update by following way:
Dial *#*#2846579#*#* on your dialer,

Yes you can update to 6.0 normally from c185b160 b130 to c185b524
just download the update.zip put into (dload) folder or make one
"ican't post urls forums rules in posting"
docs.google.com/uc?id=0B_wHFR4i-b7UR3BZbWFtdXl3MG8&export=download
then do local update from updater menu
tested

I'm on c185b180 (Android 5.0.2) and I didn't receive any updates. Can I upgrade directly to b525 from the link you've provided? and is it safe?
Sorry to go off topic in this thread, but some of you guys might have already have the latest firmware (B564 or B565) so I have to ask a quick question. Is the unlock screen animation removed in those firmwares?
Right now im on B550 and when I swipe away the unlock screen, the menu icons have an animation (like they are dropping in, similar to iOS) and I love it, but I heard that this animation is removed after B550.

So I just got my Mate 7 today (MT7-L09) and I'm having a bit of a hard time keeping up with all the different update versions and everything. Currently I'm on B331 and I wanted to try this latest MM ROM, B560. I downloaded the full firmware but it's C432 and currently I'm on C900. I've read of a lot of people bricking their devices so I wanted to make sure this would work before I went for it. Any help is greatly appreciated!

From B331 you need to upgrade to B522 and then it automatically updates to B560 from the Updater.
Both the 522 and 560 are EU ROMS like the 331 you currently have installed. The risk of bricking the device using official updates is close to negligible.

I fear I managed to bricked my L09 yet again. I tried to upgrade to MM B560 directly from KK B145 using the 1.2 gb full update file. I put the update.zip file in the dload folder and started a local update. The software started upgrading with the following message.
"Huawei software installing DONOT press powerkey or remove battery!
The update went up almost 98% and is stuck there for the last 90 minutes. I dont see any hope that the updrage will ever complete even if I leave it alone for ever. Going by the warning on the screen, I might break the phone, If I long press the power key. Please let me know what I need to do now?

yes you did , you can't upgrade from kitkat to marshmallow , i only got my mate 7 few days ago and it was also on kitkat, there are a lot of post in this forum with guide how to upgrade and what not to do , my guess is you didn't read any of them .
at this point what you can try is put the kitkat firmware on your sd card and try to force the installation using the 3 buttons trick (volume up+volume down+power)
hi can someone please upload twrp backup of B560 so we can install it through twrp instead of getting default recovery then the procedure kindly anyone of them who have got MT7 TL09 and updated to B560 kindly make a clean backup after installing the fresh rom and upload it so users can install the same......!!

Thank you for responding touns_j. I knew the standard procedure of upgrading from KK to LP and then to MM. Couple of weeks back I came to know that it's possible to upgrade from KK to MM directly. However looks like this does not apply to B560. My attempt from B145 to B560 failed because either of the following 2 reasons.
(1) Only devices on B331 or B522 can be upgraded to B560.
(2) The vendor and country information needs to be EU.
I took the risk and booted my phone to recovery mode and then did a factory reset. The device is alive again. I'll try again after upgrading to B331 first.
I think at this point we can really say that the OTA update thas is being rolled out since 2 days ago is the oficial update to Android 7.0 + EMUI 5!

In order to concentrate all the discussion in one thread, I started this one, so please let's try to keep all info in one place!
For those who have your devices with root, please use the rollback packages to go back to b131 and relock your bootloader (necessary?!) before trying to update.
If you haven't receive the update notification yet, try to force it via the HiCare app:
- Make sure you have the latest version of the HiCare app
- Go to services
- Choose the option to early adopters (if you don't have this option, go to Me > Settings > Location and choose another nearby location and try again)
- check if there is a notification of a new update
- accept and follow the instructions
- if everything is ok, you should get the notification update on the update app
If you haven't receive the update yet, don't panic, as always, not everyone receives the update at the same time, we should only expect it to come out on February, so if we are getting it now we can only be patient and happy
For those who don't want to wait for the update via Hicare/Updater, check this thread that can help you getting the update using Charles app method.
PS: It's not mandatory, but it's recommended to do a backup before the update (via HiSuite) and perform a factory reset after the update!
PS2: It's always kind to say thank you! by words and pushing the Thanks button bellow

ye i whish nem-L21 was soon ready too... i thought that 5c was one of most popular phones around europe because of awesome price - quality.... good thing that b132 doesnt have too many bugs but still theres few: when i press square it doesnt always show apps it just shows clear icon and kinda laggs and goes to home and then i need press again to see apps there....
but how do i update, i am on firmware 130 version, when i extract it to the dload folder and try the update it says incompatible rom version from there i only can reboot - is it possible to force the upadate or update it via pc

Just checked firmware finder and yay, your right.
I'm on l51C432. Which B350 download do I go for?
The FULLOTA-MF(1.6gb) which has 3 zip files or the FULLOTA-MF-PV(2.0gb) which has 2 zip files???
What are the differences. I've started downloading the b350 fullota-mf-pv, simply because it's a bigger download. Can anyone let me know if I am downloading the right one asap. Thanks all :fingers-crossed:

I tried with the FULLOTA-MF-PV but it doesn't work :crying:... It start to update but said that it's an invalide package version... I will try with the FULLOTA-MF ...
i wouldnt start randomly flashing ota packages thru unofficial firmware finder.... wait till official OTA comes avaible to avoid any issues (usually flashing non official ota causes glitches)
I've always do that before without any issues...

Does not work with FULLOTA-MF neither... That's so bad
I've tried with "proxy method" in firmware finder and it works !!!
Update success
I installed the FullOTA-MF-PV and got nougat (EMUI 5.0)
I noticed perfomance improvements and better RAM management.
The only issue I found is that Nova Launcher keeps crashing when I try to set it up. Nova launcher was working fine when I was on Emui 4 but not Emui 5. When I open nova launcher it crashes after 1 minute and goes back to default launcher.
Cool. But which one did you use with proxy method? -mf or -mf-pv ???
i think the size is wrong at the FullOTA-MF-PV download.. or am i wrong ? i downloaded all 3 updates.zip but 2 of them are same size... FullOTA-MF & FullOTA-MF-PV are the same size... maybe thats the problem ?

According on Huawei Firmware Finder App Q&A section :
MF stands for Multi-File ROM, which by itself means that this package contains more than a single update file. This is the type of package used for EMUI 5.
PV stand for Point-Version ROM and is used to update the Android version. In our case, from 6.0 to 7.0.
Conclusion : you need the FULL-OTA-MF-PV update file. Or so I think. Installing this at the moment, I'll come back to you when I'm done and tell you what's up.
The FullOTA-MF-PV shows up as a 2.0 GB download in the list. Im currently downloading and its actually 1.3GB.
Is that normal?

I got an E3001 fingerprint match error when trying to update from the sdcard. I'll try again via ADB but I don't think that will matter. I forgot to grab the actual error before i rebooted
I'm confused? There are 5 beta updates correct? I'm on the 4th ZQL8. Are these for exynos?

No, these are not for exynos. This is for the s8 plus snapdragon g955u model. Yes, ZQL8 is the latest beta file updating from 2BQK5, but to whoever updated to 2BQL1 the only oreo beta file available is 2ZQKS. You can get all the updates from this website: samsung.firmware.science.

No, you don't need to be on oreo beta to flash the official build. Just make sure your current firmware is 2BQL1 running 7.0 nougat, in order to update.

No problem, if you have any problems, questions or concerns, feel free to ask.
I'm currently running it on the s8 and it's been pretty darn good on almost everything, so far. They did add some features:
Additions include a new boot logo, Dolby Atmos audio integration, which improved the sound quality. It sounds way louder than before and it does have the latest security patch, January 1st, 2018.
I just got the prompt to join the beta program and when I try I get an unknown error try again later.
Any ideas?
Awesome I'm going to five it a shot. Thanks again.

The beta program for oreo? I don't think you're able to enroll in the beta program, since samsung confirmed their ending it on the 15th of January.

BTW.. I applied this one... "New Leaked Oreo Official Stable Build For S8+: G955USQS2BQL1-to-U2CRA1"
I wasn't sure what this was... "Download here: 2BQL1-to-2ZQKS"
Hope that helps...
I'm assuming that one needs to already be on the beta in order to sideload the leaked official build? How long until a full odin-flashable firmware comes out?
When I try to apply this in download mode I don't see the file appear on the list of files to choose from

You're not suppose to apply the update through download mode. These are not Odin files, these files have to be manually updated through your SD card. Be sure to be running stock 2BQL1, to apply the update. Download the file, put the file into your SD card, turn off your phone, once the phone is completely off, press the up volume key, power and bixby button all at the same time, this will take you to recovery and select apply update from sd card.
