A6000 Gaming Performance - Lenovo A6000/Plus Questions & Answers

I just wanna ask which ROM has the better gaming performance?. I've already tried stock KK with Mostock(many people said this is the best ROM for gaming)but I still experienced some lag. Can you guys suggest which ROM I should use?

@iduuuuho, I would suggest the same combo. But, try the stock without MoStock. Also, you can give CM11 by sourav8434 a try, it had pretty good performance too. My last suggestion would be MIUI8 rom, even after high modification, the performance as well as battery is outstanding on this ROM. I've been using this since 7-8months now, and there hasn't been a problem with it. Not only the AnTuTu score for the device got bumped to 38k, but also the gaming performance has been improved significantly with this ROM. I myself played MC4 on this device which is a online multiplayer. And it used to run the best with MIuI8 only.

No, its maintained by miui.su (russian miui device team), and is the only ROM with weekly updates. You can GET IT FROM HERE.

Miui 8 little bit lags on 1gb varient.

It depends on user itself, what they are loooking for. For me I'm looking for good battery life and signal. This is how I scale their rank:

3-Good
4-Amazing!
5-Stock Kitkat

Yeah you are right. i'm looking for performance and with a not bad battery life.
i been used the stock kitkat for long. it's superb with chhapil's Mostock kernel.
i don't like kitkat ui. i like the material design that comes from lollipop. so, i'm looking for roms with API level higher than kitkat like lollipop, marshmallow and now it's nougat.
i'm very glad to see that our developers are still in the track of developing new things to our device Lenovo A6000.

Bro try the MIUI ROM. I've been using the ROM for the last 4-5 months now. You can GET IT FROM HERE. You can also SEE IT IN ACTION HERE.
It has stability, without any bugs, great battery life, great performance and what not. Though, not everyone is a fan on such highly customized ROMs, but personally I like it very much. You have the options to easily apply the various themes while MIUI in itself has pretty good UI.
Yoi don't actually need to flash a custom kernel with MIUI ROM, but if you wan, you can try Phantom Kernel.

Bro, Im having Redmi note 3 pro too. MIUI doesn't lag at all and has better battery life than compared to any other ROM despite the heavy customization.
On LA6k, I've tried many ROMs like CM13, Mokee, and other CM based roms, all of them had some kind of lag in the UI. Also, the battery life was not good, and were some bugs here and there. I've not tried the ED300's ver; but I don't think its much of an exception. So, you should definitely try MIUI at least once.

Camera good
Sound good
Signal good
Performance good
Features - with a hell of tweaking and customization
Data good
I installed Facebook, messenger, Instagram and other kind of things. still works likes charm, no lags at all.
Stock kernel is good. even if you want to squeeze more, then try phantom R7. It working good with it.
I should recommend MIUI Rom to everyone cause it's superb. everyone should try it at least once.

Stock Lp is a nightmare. Don't even think of moving to it. Apart from the various bugs it has, the battery performance is also poor. Stock KK is much much better.
Yes. I agree with sasukay. For 1 GB variant stock kk is best. I tried all other ROMs and always I return back to stock kk.
Try CandySix with Semar Kernal V5
Very Good Battery Backup With Everything Working Perfect

I strongly recommend using RR 32bit Official - Latest update July 10. My experience with it is beyond expectations if you're with 1GB variant like me. Battery life lasts 16 hours with 4G data always on.
However, with 64 bit, I got battery drain issues and poor performance mostly in browsers. So, I switched back to July 10 update of 32bit RR.
Just my honest opinion.
Cheers!
I recommend you to use AOSP Extended (7.1.2). The rom is super smooth, stable, and has very good battery backup. It's the most comfortable nougat rom I've used so far. RR is fantastic but I think Aex is perfect for a daily driver like you.
PM me if you need a link.

Best ROM for performance ?

I have tried AEX ( 7.1.2 & 8.1 ) and RR ( 8.1 ) and of course stock. On my use I'm confused what to use. Each has its own set of problems.
I'm asking which is the best ROM for performance other than these two or is one of them the best ?
Thanks in advance
PS. I have done a lot of searching and that's why I'm confused

What problems do you have with stock? I am on stock (NPNS25.137-93-14) rooted with ElementalX-G5-2.03 as my kernel. I see great performance as well as decent battery life. But even before I went to a custom kernel I didn't have any issues with performance.

But it's stable. Most Oreo ROMs aren't. And returning to stock could be a real mess if you don't have a persist backup.
And about customizing: There are things like substratum themes and tweaks or Nougat/Oreo Quick Settings when you are rooted. I have my device customized as I like it.

Not that I have discovered. I have customized my phone as much as I desire and have not seen any problems. It is also very stable. The only issue I ran into was I kept losing root with SuperSU, until I installed ElementalX, but if you don't want a custom kernel you can get around that by using Magisk. And Magisk has numerous modules for customization.

Root your phone, get a custom kernel and a set clock speed to max all time. Keep installed applications to minimal. If you don't care about battery life - that's the way to go! I doubt big differences between the current ROMs. In some ROMs the animation factor is set to a smaller value by default. This improves responsiveness and display speed.

How??

Is "which ROM you prefer and why" a stupid question?

Well, I'll ask it anyway .
I've only ever used Cyanogenmod and Lineage, but now there is no stable and good release for J5 (2016). Obviously, stock has so much bloat and is super slow, all I want is fast, functioning and pretty phone. Which is the ROM of choice for you and why?

Am pretty much 50/50 between TW and aosp.TW can easily be debloated mainly stock and just add quasar 1.6 fix and runs fast same as kernel that's in space os and I recommend that one too.Am currently on Havoc which is great looking and saves you a good 1.5gb TWRP backup so yes the aosp are already debloated. All the oreo roms are fast in my opinion.Havoc is my favourite followed by RR 6.0.1 and the older lineage builds are great too.

Not as smooth as aosp ROMs tho. TW is a really heavy skin over android and is known to be slow and stuttery even on the best of devices.
But yes you are right it is the smoothest of the TW ROMs due to the heavy debloat. Especially the SEP 8.5 LITE.
For me though I stick with aosp ROMs because they are a lot faster, a lot more customisable and also better on battery life.
But everyone has different tastes and what suits me and you might not suit someone else.
All ROMs are amazing and we need to give more thanks and donations to the devs

I'm using bootleggers on j500f and its been better than good.
But I don't know how it performs on j500h because I don't own that device. I just know that volte doesn't work if you need it on aosp ROMs

Don't you face battery problems in Havoc? Doesn't it drain to fast?
But non of the aosp roms have bluetooth audio working right?

No battery problems for me with Havoc. It can be a bit slow to charge sometimes but not big battery drain.Yes I think bluetooth audio might be problem on some aosp roms if you use bluetooth but I use wired headset and bluetooth works fine in all aosp roms I have tried for file transfers and connecting to externel devices like gamepad which I use.
