I'm trying to use some older apps that don't have a 3dots menu button on screen.
My old phone would put a bar on the bottom with the 3dots button, but I'm not seeing this on this phone. This is the axon 7 usa b29.

I would think customizing the navbar softkeys is a feature on the custom ROMs. There are many out there, so feel free to take a look for yourself

Not to my knowledge; unless you want to custom build your stock ROM from source (and editing the height in source) you're stuck with those default (GIANT) buttons

1. Root>product>etc>prop>local.prop change ro.config.hw_easywakeup=false to "true"
2. system>emui>base>xml>hw_easywakeupmotion_config.xml , in "EasyWakeUpMotion name="Double_Touch" support="1" value="0" flag="0" keycode="131" />" change "value=1" .
Reboot and enable in phone settings.

ro.config.hw_easywakeup=true , save. The same in vendor/build.prop , reboot .

It's not about your firmware, it's about your phone. Huawei P9 Lite doesn't recognize touches while asleep. You can't change it as long as you don't change any of the hardware.

Also, it wouldn't make much sense. They probably won't update to A8, so why would they build in a feature and not let it be normally enabled?
In nougat i used an apk mode to disabled it but
Oreo the apk isn't working , and i am not talking here about autohide and swype to enable soft keys , i want to disable it completely , because i use gestures
So many people are looking for this currently. Hope someone finds a solution. I messaged the dev of the 0pt.navbar.apk, let's hope he responds soon @Tigerhoods
