problem with finger print on s7 edge nougat 7.0 - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

hello
i installed nougat 7.0 on my s7 edge
the BTU version G935FXXU1DPLT
but every time that i try to setup the finger print or any other method of security the option is crashing ?
that wasn't happened in 6.0.1 ... my model is G935F
does any one familiar with this problem ?
i did the following thing :
factory reset from the settings
factory reset from the recovery mode
and wiped all the cache
please your kind advice
thanks

I would recommend flashing nougat again. But make sure you wipe all system, data, cache via recovery.

How did you do it please i have the same issue
Is there enough free space on your storage card or device?
So I solved it by:
Using Odin 3.11.1
I have already tried Factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik, flashed the latest stock Lolipop or older lollipop with ODin and nothing solved the problem.
So I tried to flash the latest stock lolipop with Odin and marking checked (Auto Reboot , F. Reset Time , Phone EFS clear, Phone Bootloader update).
I suspect that the Phone EFS clear did the trick. It's function is related to the modem and radio of the phone. And clearly the modem has a problem here.
I hope this will help anybody out there having this issue.
This problem happened after trying to flash lollipop using FlashFire app to reserve the root that I had in my previos Android KK 4.4.2.

S7 edge rebooting

I rooted my S7 edge with TWRP.
I am able to start TWRP and have wiped everything (Data, davlik, system etc).
I install using Odin the stock firmware v7 AP_G935FXXU1DQB3_CL10422490_QB12410567
The Edge keeps rebooting, sometimes it gets stuck on the SAMSUNG logo (flowing will freeze.)
Have tried Smartswitch which does install the rom but then the same thing happens.
Any suggestions

can't wipe data partition

So, I tried installing the Note 8 port and now I can't seem to wipe the data partition. I have used every available version of TWRP with the same results. it won't mount the data partition.
from inside android doing a factory reset just restarts and nothing has been wiped.
I also lost root during this process and cant seem to get it back. I have a 935F/DS but the build number says N950F

You need to go through the process of fixing the encrypted data partition.
See this link:
Flash TWRP

I have done all of that already to no avail. I have also tried flashing stock oreo firmware in Odin but after about 3 seconds it says it is done and nothing has changed. I am starting to think I must have done some irreversible damage to my Data partition. is that possible?

In TWRP, have you tried Wipe | Format Data?
This option is a button to the right of Advanced.

Factory reset and wipe cache partition.
I've installed using Odin this firmware SM-G950F_1_20200518082254_1xwacu9sv8_fac and then factory reset again and wiped partition
any ideas? or did anyone else stumbled upon this problem before?
Thanks!

Help! I have a xt1575 and when I do a wipe in the latest twrp, it crashes and reboots

So basically I installed a un oficial lineage os 17 rom in my secondary phone, a moto x pure xt1075 and I did not like the performance, so I decided to install another rom, so I was gonna wipe the Dalvik cache, System, Data and Cache. The problem is that when I swipe to wipe, the twrp crashes and reboots. So now I have no android os and now I have this phone without os. So I wandered if I could get any help on how to fix this problem with twrp.

This link is a video showing what happens when I swipe to wipe.
I also tried wiping each Dalvik cache, System, Data and Cache individually and the phone gets stuck and vibrates and reboots.
I honestly have no hope and I think I just broke my secondary phone
If someone tried to help me I would appreciate it.
I also trie searching solutions and got nothing.
