Hi Guys - don't ask me why but a number of people have requested that I place my guide to undervolting (kernel replacing ) for the nexus one in a separate thread. I don't think the quality is all that good - but it does explain the process of kernel replacement & SETCPU power schemes all in one place. Using both it will save you some battery life.
The post is http://www.adriancantrill.me/blog/2010/04/undervolting-the-nexus-one/ and i've updated it for the ADB PUSH and Flash ZIP methods of kernel changing.
Shameless Plug If my article is useful to you please take a look at the ads from some of my sponsors - if their offering something interesting then pay them a visit.
If you have any questions either post here (prefered), blog comment or twitter me @woolnoir
small changes, based on feedback.
As some feedback to this, a lot has changed since i wrote the article specifically Intersect raven has started to focus on the 800MV and 900MV variants of his kernel - anyone whos tried this, feedback would be appreciated as to how they find the battery life. I'll be updating my post at some stage with a recommendation based on feedback here, and on the thread in the development forum.
Been trying the 900MV kernel and it does seem to give a little extra life than the 800 ... odd...also seems to be less 2G to 3G switching in weaker areas, although i could be dreaming.
Has anyone experienced any battery charging issues with the above kernel, seems on my 2800MAH battery using this one im stuck at 91% charge... even after a restart.
Setting up this thread to discuss all about battery life including stock battery and swappable battery modules.
So confirmed that it has 2800 mAh battery. Wish there is an extended battery module without camera module.

Until the device is released and in circulation, everything will be supposition. Please wait to open threads like this, until the device is actually out there.
Thank you.
When I got my ZenFone Max it was already running Marshmallow 6.0.1 [18.8.26.36] out of box. Thus I never had a chance to test/run Lollipop in it.
I see most of the people here in xda and in other forums as well says that, using this phone in Lollipop gave them better battery and when they update to marshmallow the battery life got worse.
I just want to know what battery stats does this phone give in Lollipop, so if you guys can share your battery stats that would be informative for me. Also if you guys are on Marshmallow then also do share, I would like to see that too.
Thanks.
Here are my battery Stats :
This Zenfone Max is for sure and by far, the best smartphone I've used in my life. Considering that I came from a LG G3 and a BlackBerry Curve 9300. Of course that I did a huge downgrade on CPU, mostly on screen, but the battery as also the SOT, worths for all the others things that I lost... I'm not seeing my self changing for something less than this 5000mAh, considering that this is a dual SIM and I really need it. If using with only on SIM, I believe the SOT can perfectly reaches the 5 days.

Which Rom?
Lollipop or Marshmallow?
Offlate couple of weeks ago, i rooted my moto x play and flashed LineageOS N 7.1.1. But the battery drain is so fast and it makes you feel you just have a 1200mah battery!!! (the truth is mine has 3630 mah gigantic battery).
BTW, somebody suggested to have Greenify, and this improved a little. Not fully satisfied with its performance though. My battery charge is not even lasting a full day!!! :crying:
Any suggestions guyz. Does someone here, is successful in acheiving a full day's charge and still some juice left for emergencies?
Install kernel adiutor and put your gpu governor to msm_adreno_tz, from what i remember it comes with performance as stock.

Thanks for the reply brother.
I have started using Greenify to save some battery. It is saving some, but not still as expected.
SO can I use Kernel adiutor along side this???
Yep.
I installed this just now and did the said changes.
I will observe my devices battery charge and post it after few days. :cyclops:
Hi I tested this for almost 4 days now! Kernel aduitor is great and does the intended functionality pretty well. I recommend this to others
Is this true that s8 port roms doesn't have good battery life then stock based one mm***???
Haven't heard of this issue. And I don't know any statistics in this regards.
