Hi.
Today I've been comparing my brand new S7 edge with another older S7 edge, both of them with the Exynos chip .
Surprisingly the older S7 take much better photos while my new S7 takes more blurry shots. Especially with low light situations.
Do you know about any camera lens differences or updates between newer or older S7 builds?

By the way, both devices with Isocell branded camera.
Any suggestion?

Maybe a faulty camera or lense.
Just I didn't believe that a brand new lense/camera could be problematic.
Today I received my replacement and this seems to have the same lense like my old S7 and a different lense from older S7 Edges. Specifically, besides of more blurry photos it has some kind of different reflect in the lense.
Do anyone of you know about some kind of camera update for the latest S7 Edges?

Hi all, I know it might sound stupid, but is there a plastic film on the edge plus camera lens?
I'm used to find it on every new phone I get (it was present event on my last note 4 and galaxy s6), but looking at the camera lens of my new Galaxy s6 Edge Plus...it doesn't seems to be any plastic film. I was only able to spot and remover a tiny plastic film on the flash sensor. That's it. Am I right?
Thanks in advance
Mine was same as yours. I looked with magnification and found nothing on camera.

Same here. I had one on the flash but nothing on the lense.

There was one on the flash/HRM, not on Camera though!
Anyone have their camera slightly off center? First Samsung handset and not sure if the camera underneath the lens should be centered? Mine is slightly below center, a non-issue but still curious.

I have read about this somewhere. I think it moves and everyone's are that way. Nothing to worry about.

It's due to OIS. If you hold the phone in selfi position with rear camera and keep trying different focuses and shake, you'll see your camera hole moving accordingly..

Just on flash.
I just noticed my 6p camera seems to have a problem. If I take extremely low light pictures with the camera in HDR On mode, or HDR Auto mode, and the flash off, there is a single blue pixel/dot in the exact same spot in all pictures! I assume the dot is there even in normal (I.e. not low light) pictures as well, it's just harder to see. Has anyone else noticed anything like this? Is this something that would be covered under warranty? Attached are three pictures I took that show the blue dot...
Seems like a dead pixel... I think is covered by warranty (if your device still under warranty obviously)

Thanks. I bought it brand new about five months ago, but I bought it from a random person on eBay not an authorized retailer... It was definitely brand new though, still sealed in factory packaging when I received it. Any idea if Huawei will honor warranties even if it wasn't purchased from an authorized seller?
Hello i got an question about my s7 Flat G930F
My camera glass was broken and now there came water in to it ,
Nothing did happend but except my camera isnot working anymore when i open app camera it stays on black screen and it says it cant find the hardware,
I got here an note 5 with broken lCD
And i saw that the camera is exact the same as the s7 camera and my question is will it work if i switch the note 5 camera with the s7?
I dont care if this will have effect on the quality
Thank you
I don't claim to be an expert here; this is a sketchy process. However, if it turns out that the camera module fits in the same spot, and the cable properly connects to the S7 motherboard, then I think it's worth a shot. I have no idea if those two requirements are true though, and some unforeseen mismatch between the S7 software and the new camera's hardware could still ruin things. It's a really interesting project though, and worth a try if you're willing. If you go through with it, post your results!
i am planning to give this a try, i think its working the same like pc hardware and if i compare them on google they look exact the same so i think this will work but i thought i ask it here,
i will post the results if this will work
The camera module is totally different though. Even if it fit, I doubt it will work.

I have already taken the camera out of the note5 and what I saw on that camera is that there was G920F so that means that the s6 camera is also in note 5? So I find it strange if it does not work on a s7

That doesn't make sense to me.
The camera on note 5 is the same with s6 doesn't mean it's the same with S7 (and it isn't).

UP, nothing for s7?
Up. I tried the updated Edge Panel but i can't install it
If someone port that features to our beloved s7 edge then it would be fantastic.
Hi. I just a bought a totally new Samsung S7 Edge.
I'm planning on using it as a spare phone.
My daily driver now is Xiaomi Mi 5.
I want to ask a question from you guys. I know S7 Edge is 2 years old phone now. But
Is the front camera on S7 Edge really that bad??
Rear camera is ok, excels in video and low light shooting I must say. Other than that it has similar result to that of Mi 5.
But the front camera is really terrible I thought I'm going crazy with the blurriness but then I compared it to my friend's S7 also have similar bad results from front camera. I plan to use it for some mobile photography, but now I'm left dissatisfied. It's better than Mi 5 in every other ways except not having usb c and sub-par camera.
Front camera is ok
Make sure the lens is clean. Also it absolutely destroys MI5 when it comes to camera, there's no comparison here. The screen is much better too.
