I just noticed my 6p camera seems to have a problem. If I take extremely low light pictures with the camera in HDR On mode, or HDR Auto mode, and the flash off, there is a single blue pixel/dot in the exact same spot in all pictures! I assume the dot is there even in normal (I.e. not low light) pictures as well, it's just harder to see. Has anyone else noticed anything like this? Is this something that would be covered under warranty? Attached are three pictures I took that show the blue dot...
Seems like a dead pixel... I think is covered by warranty (if your device still under warranty obviously)

Thanks. I bought it brand new about five months ago, but I bought it from a random person on eBay not an authorized retailer... It was definitely brand new though, still sealed in factory packaging when I received it. Any idea if Huawei will honor warranties even if it wasn't purchased from an authorized seller?

Hello,
I have a Moto X Style.
Just a few hours ago started seeing a white very thin vertical line in the middle of the screen that goes from top to the bottom.
Didn't do anything special with the phone, scrolling facebook... just turned off the screen, and then turned it on and voila... it's there
The line is most noticeable in bright blue screen. Tried to take a picture of it, but doesn't have good camera so it isn't noticeable in pictures. Also it doesn't shows on screenshots and it appears even in recovery so it's definitely hardware...
The phone is only 3 months old... But I have unlocked the bootloader and rooted so I think the warranty is void...
Does anyone have/had some expirience with this and can help me?
Or the only way is to pay for a repair?
Thanks in advance...

If no physical damage moto will repair unlocked phones that have hardware failure. Best to get a ticket started and get some help over in their forums. Advanced swap is best even if it costs a couple bucks.

Thanks
Anyway, yesterday happened another strange thing. I was taking pictures with the camera, then noticed that all the screen covered with white horizontal lines half transparent as if it is some sort of interference.. Restarted the phone and the lines disappeared, but also the vertical line got much thinner. You need to search for it really hard to find it. So maybe it was stuck pixels or something? I don't know
So it leads me to confusion. Either i leave it as it is as the problem is barely there, but then I'm afraid it will come back later, or i talk to Motorola, but then how am i gonna prove them if they won't find the line?
Thanks

I would discuss it with them regardless. If you still see the problem then they should be able to as well. Be persistent and very detailed about the problem. If you can get photos magnified showing the issue more clearly, even better as it clarifies the exact problem.

OP already stated it doesn't come up in screenshots. It's clearly a hardware issue...
I have this issue I believe. Except that it's when I dim the screen the previous images on the screen will not refresh.
See video I shot of it, at 1min 30sec I can start to see the ghosting. The white lines come and go too, usually when the screen is off and I wave at it to get the circles to appear so I can pause/play music. The more black on a screen the more likely it is to get lines down it.

Any luck in fixing this? My phone has the same issue and I keep reading things that say its a driver problem. Really seems to be hardware to me though, given that the same issue shows up in recovery mode...
Hi, same issue here. Had it for ages now, tried to return mine but Moto refused repair as my bootloader is unlocked. Have this issue in each and every ROM I try, stock or custom. Definitely seems like hardware.
If I keep the screen brightness up above 50% it's fine but anything below about 50% and it's unusable.

Same issue since some days
What a bummer.. I have NEXUS 6P but it comes with a light vertical line (on gray and sometimes on white background if you look closely).. After research i found out that they are using Note 5 Screens. But really i'm dissapointed of this build quality of a premium phone. I fixed the bad colors (yellow and pink hue) with the kernel manager of Elementalx, but the light vertical line doesnt dissapear and they advice me to send for a repair Huawei VIP service (3 year warranty, just repair NO RMA), what shall i do send it in for a repair or keep it until its getting worser.
Please give me advice for this issue.
A lot of brands use Samsung amoled screens. But what does that have to do with build quality? It's obvious you have a problem with you screen panel. It's also obvious you should send it for repair. duh

I just recently bought mi note 2 ( Black 128gb , 6gb ) , i am very disappointed that i got it with defective screen i think, there is a yellow tint on the bottom and the screen shows some horizontal lines whenever the brightness is low, also the screen is not sharp compared to my 5.5 inch oneplus3 . however when i increase the brightness , i dont see those lines and yellow tint becomes much less . is that hardware or software issue ? is there a way to fix it without changing the screen ?
Any pictures?

Hi.
For the first step, you should do a factory reset.
If the problem still available, At the second step, flash the latest official ROM.
if the problem do not solved by this treatment. then yo have a hardware failure and the device should be send for replacement hardware product .
good luck.
Hello, I have the same issue, when the bright is low I can appreciate these horizontal lines. Could you fix it????? Thankss

Any solution? New flashing does not work - the issue is also at the fastboot mode... I thought it is a hardware problem...

Sorry for offtopic but may I ask which case/brand (link if possible ) you use? Looks like its protecting the phone nicely with the raised borders around the screen :good:
Sorry to dig up this old thread. Here to share my experience. I have the same problem as well. Faint, grainy grey lines become more obvious as the brightness becomes lower. Went to xiaomi's service centre and they offered to replace my screen as it is deem as a hardware failure.
Hi.
Today I've been comparing my brand new S7 edge with another older S7 edge, both of them with the Exynos chip .
Surprisingly the older S7 take much better photos while my new S7 takes more blurry shots. Especially with low light situations.
Do you know about any camera lens differences or updates between newer or older S7 builds?

By the way, both devices with Isocell branded camera.
Any suggestion?

Maybe a faulty camera or lense.
Just I didn't believe that a brand new lense/camera could be problematic.
Today I received my replacement and this seems to have the same lense like my old S7 and a different lense from older S7 Edges. Specifically, besides of more blurry photos it has some kind of different reflect in the lense.
Do anyone of you know about some kind of camera update for the latest S7 Edges?

Hello,
I just have a new lenovo yoga book. Unfortunately it's my second one since first has yellow color shade on right (about 5-10%) of screen. After replacement - 2nd has exactly the same. It looks like all of them are made like this?
At first it looks for me like fabric failure, but now it seems like I have accept it? How does it looks on your yogas?
thanks!
Marek
No happening on mine
