Pls modify Gallery apk - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hello wizards, able to please anyone would modify the Gallery application so that when you click on the picture there were those awful white stripes and background , but to make it transparent as it was at Android 6. I would very much appreciate it. I attach screens. Sorry for English ... It's written using Translator

Don't expect people to do it. Sure you can ask, but don't get impatient and ask why nobody is doing it.
Sent from my Samsung SM-G930F using XDA Labs

But I did not ask "why nobody does." It is clear to me that a lot of people can not do, and I'm one of them. I'm impatient, I just wanted to move up to a post seen by more people.

Did you check the option to allow installing non market apps on the options/security settings?
Yup definately

You sure you didn't install malware instead?

This makes the most sense to me. I think the apk is the problem, not the phone. It could also be that the apk is specifically compiled for an incompatible device.
You're not using SCREEN FILTER when trying to install non-market, are you?
Don't ask me why....

Haha, yeah, I had the same trouble many months ago! I was baffled! I knew I was doing everything right, but nothing would work!
Also, just so you know, you don't need to uninstall it, you just can't have it activated when you try to install apps. I guess you just can't install apps while it's dimming your screen, but I still can't understand why.
Glad that worked for you! !

Weather widget like this video?

The video had a view of the weather widget. It seems to move when they tilt it though. How does one activate this feature? @ 3.47

LG G2
Prototype, maybe a feature in 4.4
That was Samsung's widget not lg. Just like the s4 but I can't remember if it moved when you tilt the phone. Had it for like a week. I know it did that animation when you went home or unlocked to the home screen.
Sent from my LG-D800 using xda app-developers app
That is indeed the built in weather widget out of the box, in order to have that animation you have to refresh the widget and if the weather is sunny then you will get the same animation in the video. I am using the international version D802, not sure if this is applicable on other variants.

Just woke up and it's sunny here. Hit refresh and it does the animation but only for a minute. Then you have to refresh again.
Probably a battery thing.

Need help with Stock Messaging app

Running on Omega v24 based on Android TW Based 4.3.
Anyway, I need help with something. The "Tiny" font in the stock messaging app is still way too big. I was wondering if there was a manual way in lowering the size of the font in the conversation. I've already tried Lowering the DPI of the app, but that also changes the actual UI, which I do not like.
So basically, I just want to make the font smaller without affecting the UI of the stock messaging app. Any ideas?
Is it a touch wiz based rom?

I see you are using a Galaxy S3, and I just want to say, I don't have this problem on my GS3. Just on my Note 2
May be u should try using a diff font style.. rest I dont think it would go smaller than this

Voice typing?Resolved

What happened to voice typing? I factory resetted my phone and have lost it again. What gives? I used it very often!
How do I get it back?
Update: if you disable Google search, it also takes away the voice typing. I enabled Google search to test it and it appeared on my keyboard.

It's not there...that's the problem. Look at the pic I attached. It was a third input method, Samsung keyboard, Google keyboard and voice typing.

try the new app "Voice Typing Keyboard" VTK... much better, no microphone button to push, just say "listen" or "spelling" when in text field and start dictation, can move cursor around, insert punctuation, symbols, do editing formatting etc, all with voice

That only disables app scanning. I am talking about the app itself turning itself back on inside the app manager from a disabled state.
You can use this app to disable any bit of bloatware you have. I'm using it and I haven't had lookout come back. It's paid, but I find it an investment because I usually get Samsung devices only
