[Q] Google Play Services for custom rom

After Trying many Custom roms i found that in only hyperion latest build google play services works no other rom allows it After doing a lot of search in google and xda i found out a reason for .It occurs due to signing of apps by kitchen or by removing there odex part or by editing there signature. The solution i found out was flashing gapps to remove edited gapps and then doing data cache and dalvik cache wipe but and updating apps from market it will get automatically installed but this method didnt work for me. And many more method were tried by me but non worked for me please help me out i want to sign in in youtube in latest version

I had same problem. But few days earlier, I tried mobgenie software on desktop to install the google play service on my samsung galaxy y with hyperion rom. Amazingly it worked. Better use latest google play service (.apk file).
Hope this process will work on any android device with custom rom.

yes i do that i dont have to flash the rom right make a backup first with titanium or i try to use that mobogenie app looks good

will work on any stock based rom
you just have to wipe data and then mount system and flash the zip
you dont need to install the rom again as you are wiping data
if you dont wipe data it will bootloop

My device is comprised of the api 22 sdk and moverio sdk. Is there any way to get around the issue of my "custom, stock rom" not being compatable with the installer?

My Nokia X2 pick up a software update of 219MB and it is being downloaded now. The existing version is 2.0.2.0.0.11. The new version is 2.1.0.11. Does anyone has idea about this new update? Or is it an already released version that my phone picks it up late?

First experience, After the update Don't try to to root and install google play otherwise your phone will brick.. :silly: I have flashed ROM again using Nokia Case Suite on my Nokia X2, and finally my mobile is back.

Pls I need help with my nokia x2 device, I successfully root my device thank to your post, after that I updated it to v2.1.0.11 after downloading I restart my device and it's stock on the boot screen. I tried to use nokia care suite to flash my phone but it didn't recognise the phone mode, I installed MTP drive and still my system couldn't install my device drive on the system. Pls help me out anybody. Thanks you.

i have update my phone and then i have tried to install play store using this application " allnokia.ru/soft/moreinfo-115.htm " and now my is bricked can you explain the steps, how did you got your phone working again.

yeah u read that right my phone got bricked after i install the google play (Nokia Care suite is Your Friend with flashing rom) after i finally solved that annoying flashing NOKIA but it wont open at all, i tried to root the 2.1.0.11 with nokia x tools 1.1 and it worked, but ididnt try to install google play again until somebody here in xda dev forum will post how to install it harm free.

You just go a late push of the update. Most people got this update in September.

after install i see not thing change to much just update some system apps. May be they fix some bug @@.
And still can not install google app by normal way. So not update by OTA(if i get this update) if u root and already have google app

citymapper crashing up on startup

hi guys,
I'm in real trouble here. I live in london and I use this citymapper on a daily basis more than I use whatsapp lol... now I'm at a loss because it closes on start up. I did update it to the latest version and that's when it started.
my solution is possibly having someone with a note 4 and 4.4.4 make a backup with titatnium and uplaoding it for me, so I can install the latest version from google play then wipe and restore data from your working update. would that be a solution? I've done something similar with whatsapp+ which is how I thought of it.
I've been in contact with citymapper but to be completely honest they are just like, is your phone rooted, what version etc etc. I asked them to do the above but no reply yet... and I doubt I'll get one...
is someone able to help me out or possible tell me how to resolve my problem?

on a side note I'm really trying not to re-install or wipe everything, it's a real task to bring my phone back to my liking's.

Hi mate,
I had the same issue with version 4.6. Simply uninstall the latest version of the app and install earlier version. This is what I did. Use Aptoide and look for Citymapper 4.5

cheers bro. I ended up upgrading to newer version. lost xposed for now so upsetting lol but atleast citymapper is working

Play Store on Amazon Fire TV 2

Hi I was wondering is there any way to install the Google Play Store on the Amazon fire TV 2 I really want to install my Google Play apps that I purchased I'm already rooted 5.0.3 .1 is there any method like installing the Google framework.

Tried and failed me managed to youtube working with my account but not play store. Maybe only via root.

I am rooted and tried different root methods and still no luck :/

Just sideload your phone/tablet apps via Apps2Fire, you can find it on the Play Store & is very easy to setup.

You can sideload apps but some apps require Play Store to be installed or they won't work. Even if you sideload them they still won't work if you don't have Play Store installed and logged in. The Play Store won't work but the apps that require it will.

One thing that may be worth a try is to use an app like "/system/app mover ★ ROOT ★" in the playstore to convert the for playstore files to system apps. I know the app's name is ridiculous. But I have tried this on Xioami products where a sideloaded playstore did not function and after conversion and reboot it worked fine.

Based on the amount of free space in /system, I believe installing proper gapps should work. I should be done with recovery soon, and if gapps work, I'll include a note about installing them.

Functionally it all seems to work. I'm just finishing up the prerooted image and I need to do some more testing with that. And then I need to package it all together into something people can easily install.

Mac version for what? Flashing the custom recovery? Ok, I might not be 100% sure what package rbox will deliver but it sure will be loaded either by adb sideload or the superfast preloader way for people like me hehe

rbox when its ready could you do a quick video tut I'm sure it will be easy enough to add the custom recovery but for some of the not so computer savey or should I say Noobs so that we don't get a 101 what do I do questions or I've bricked it won't boot what do I do? That would be great

agreed don't be that guy. If your hell bent on getting apps from the playstore do a google on "evozi apk-downloader" and use a pc to sideload with adb or adbfire app. you can also use another android device and use one of the play store apps like "apps to fire" or "fire installer" to send it to the firetv.

Today I tried flash the rom [OFFICIAL][Nougat 7.1.1][OMS] Resurrection Remix [09.03.2017],and flash in the ARM-7.1- GAPP[STOCK].Everything is good.But you know the Gapp-Stock include all google play service apps,I dont need that.Then I did the full wipe and flash the same rom again+GAPP-Pico.And then that bug happened. Google play store works ok,system works good,but just the button G in the main screen doesent work，whatever slick it or slide it to right all doesent work.I know this just a google search button，(it works with the rom+Gapp-stock) if I ignore it,I still can use the system good,but I cant remove this button,it always there and I cant use lt.it makes me unhappy So anyone can help me to solve this problem? It not a bug,I just didn't download the google search bar,right now I install the search bar and it works..Really thanks for ShaDisNX255's help!!! Nice person.

I think the Pico package doesn't include the "Google" app, which is what you need for that "G Button" to work. I think downloading it from the Play Store would fix it, but I'm not sure.
If you're trying to get rid of this button entirely you should try a new launcher app.

I think so. But i didnt try yet.The google play store can be used.So I think this rom include the core google app,I can use whatever play store or google music or google movie etc.but just expect that button....i dont know which app I need download to fix it.

For this thread I have already solved .These are different problem.
I can use all the google apps with this rom+GAPP-pico right now,but expect the google seahch button which one I showed in the picture.I think this is a bug in this rom+Gapp-pico.
It works with this rom+Gapps-stock.
