Hi, I'm not an expert about mods on phone but I try it..
I have got my Note4 in signature with root access and E-motion kernel r26 installed into phone. The firmware is the stock one "DPH1".
1)
I installed Link2Sd and I followed the guidelines for partitions (ext2, etc.) to install apps to sd.
Today I've installed Foldermount app to move Whatsapp in extsd and this app has formatted my ext partition with deleting of my apps.
Therefore can't Link2sd and Foldermount operate together?
2)
How can I know my sd class? I tried through Sd tools but when you want test the sd card you get an error writing buffer.
Thanks for your helps..

I have a rooted phone and have Apps2sd but can only move some apps to the sd card, can someone explain why they all cannot move to the SD card?

Do you refer to stock froyo Apps2SD?
It can only be officially moved to sd if the apps built to do so.
However, u can force it using Titanium Backup or tools with similar features
I`m running the latest version of WildPuzzle rom, and have titanium backup but didn`t know it could be used to put apps to the sd card
with titnanium backup, menu->batch->move user apps to sd card. Then select which apps u want to move. Only use this method if not using widgets from the apps.
if you have ext partition, may want to try nice solution from Darktremor Apps2SD. Be sure to backup your rom before flashing it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=925982
Hi many thanks for that. When you say only move apps that you are not using widgets from do you mean the ones that have shortcuts on the screen like messaging , dialler etc?
Sorry but i`m new to android and slowly getting my head around what you can do with it
It refers to applications such as: weather, clock ... if you hold down menu appears where you can choose the widgets, those applications should not be moved because the widgets do not work restart the phone, to be added again.
But you can try this "[ROM] [11.03] InsertCoin A2SD v0.2 Beta" (I use it and she looks like). He inclusively A2SD which uses the Linux ext2 partition, partition is not affected by the restart, widgets do not lose. Before installing this ROM you need to create ext2 partition on the sd card (512 mb enough), you can create the partition with: rom manager (market downoad) or Paragon Partition Manager if you use Windows OS. Format SD CARD WARNING LEADING TO LOSS OF DATA, CREATE A BACKUP BEFORE create partitions EXT2, FAT.
press the 1.2gb ext partition. Use that tool. I tried paragon, it is not working.

While restarting windows - software to complete the ext2 partition, it reactivated undeder Connect to pc disk drive option, in order to complete ext2 paragon manager. So running at me.
Hi guys
This motorola flipout mb511 is my first android phone , as a new user I am just getting to know the terminology.
Can some one please guide me through the steps on how to root my phone so I can move my apps to an sd card.
My firmware is version 2.1 , I have been reading the forums to see how to update this but I havent seen anywhere that it can be done yet .
as a new user please feel free with any recommendations you may have.
greatly appricated
Rooting is really a must, currently there is no official or unnoficial update for the flipout. I belive i rooted with super one click method (google it) but I did it so long ago i can only be 90% sure. As to installing non market apps (which you will most likely need to do for rooting) the easy way is to install the" sideload enabler" from motorola on the market and enable unknown sources, the hard way is using android debug bridge from your computer. Once you get it rooted i would parition the sd card and use link2sd to adress the low internal storage on the flipout. After that there are tons of great tweaks to do with root like blocking ads, overclocking, and changing transition or boot animations good luck.
If you have any problems iKd be happy to help out

Thanks for your reply
I used "super one click method " and rooted the phone.
I installed link2sd.
How do i partition the sd card and transfer apps etc
I formated my micro sd card into two partitions , both fat32
when i try to move some apps to the sd card i am getting any error message
" Mount script error
mount:no such device
ext 3 may not be supported on your device . Try Fat32 on the second partition"
Are you sure that you made both fat32 partitions primary? I think could be it

I rooted my phone and I partitioned my sd card into 2 partitions , both FAT32 primary 3.7GB and when i open link2sd and select either ext 2 or ext 3 I get an error message
"Mount scrip error
Mount scripe cannot be created.
mount: no such device
ext 2 may not be supported on your device. Try FAt32 on the second partition"
Has anyone come accross this problem before ?
when I ran app2sd i scrolled down and selected fat32 so its working perfectly now .
Thanks for all your help
I've finally installed a custom rom "B 0.8.4 based on stock HTC FroYo" which is excellent so far.
I'm repartitioned by SD card to use A2SD. I understand that I should move apps back from 'sd' to the phone, which is reality is now the SD ext partition.
I've got some apps that are phone only e.g google maps. I've used on stock rom, Titanium backup to force move to SD to free up space. Is it worth doing with A2SD ? These apps are still sat in internal phone memory as far as I can tell, is that correct ?
Do any apps report memory sizes correctly with A2SD installed ? Android system info doesn't show up the new EXT partition for example.
Search in market: "free space", download & install.
Freespace, thanks got it. It doesn't recognise the A2SD ext partition but its a neat app.

This app reports A2SD correctly.

I have the 7" Tab 4 and am running rooted stock ROM. Have Titanium Backup pro, but there's no option to "move to SD" for any application, even ones I know can be moved to SD. Also, using the regular Android interface to move apps, sometimes they fail with an unhelpful error of "Unable to move app to SD".
Also, I tried to move my Titanium Backup folder from internal storage to the external storage. Moved it using ES File explorer to /storage/extSDCard/TitaniumBackup but TB doesn't detect it, and if I browse to it and set it as the folder, it tells me the folder is not writeable.
Have you applied the kitkat sd patch/fix and reformatted your sd? I cant remember what you need to format sd to as mine worked striaght out of its package on my tab s.

Applying the patch fixed part of the problem - TB can now write to the SD card. I didn't reformat - SD card was working otherwise and worked straight out of the box too.
Still no "move to SD" option (or the reverse) though.
Try folder mount from the play store
http://www.devasque.com/foldermount/index.html
That's has the download and has the [How to] and tips
You can use an app like rom toolbox or link2sd and it should let you move the majority to your sd card. Now some apps do not allow this period. Its how the dev had coded their app to work but if you try these it may help a bunch. I myself use the rom toolbox lite and have no problems at all!

I tried to move some Apps to external SD, but in Emui 4.1 there is no option to do that.
I had no success with Link2SD (mount script could not be created) and also Apps2SD seems not to work.
Any solution for that? How can i get Link2SD to work?
THX for any help!
If you use Xposed, XInternalSD works. I use it to keep whatsapp data on external SD.

For me app2sd works. You need to check what you link. Most times the obb files work. I Formates the first partition with app2sd as extfat and the second as ext4.
BTW did you manage to get the European Stock ROM?
