Hi, I purchased a Toyota Tundra Generic Head Unit with Android, and these spec's. (see below)
I got everything hooked up, and it worked perfectly, for a day.
Then it got stuck in the boot screen, and I can not figure out how to get past it.
I tried virtual every button combination along with the reset button to get it going, but no luck. First screen Flashes "Vamery" and then stop at screen with image of a car and a blue circle going around and around.
It has a GPS SD slot, and a USB out the back.
Of course the manual and Ebay seller are useless.
Can anyone help me please?

It sounds like you have an MTCB headunit, do you know what MCU it has ?.
The first thing to try is holding down power and reset at the same time, releasing reset and then releasing power, this should get you into recovery.

Pictures of the front and back and maybe inside could help us identify it.

Got my Head unit from Pumpkin in Jun 2015. Had no major problems with it until December 2015. Drove for 4 hours with the head unit running TomTom with no problems. Went to use the car the next day and the headunit's screen was just black, the backlight was lit up and all features still worked. Poweramp would load up and start playing music off the SD card and I can get the radio to work. I can even change the station using the touchscreen.
This leads me to this it's the LCD that gone faulty. Just wondered if anyone has any idea I could try to fix it.
Been 3 months without the head unit now, so just wondered if anyone can think of something to check on the unit, or if anyone knows what screen it uses?
I've tried checking the connections for the board and the screen, but couldn't see any problems.
Specs of the unit are:
800x600
RK3066
Ram: 1GB
CPU: armv7 1.6GHz (x2)
MCU: MTCB-KLD2-V2.50
KLD
Thanks

Had the same problem with mine, this may sound stupid but have you tried the reset button. I pushed the reset on mine and the screen worked again when it rebooted, it has done this twice where I would lose the display but all else would work. I have reflased the rom and have not had the problem since.
the reset is a small hole on the front of the unit.

Hey Paul,
Have given it a go a few times. Did you press it whilst it was on? and for how long?
Also, what rom did you put on after?
Cheers!

Gave it another go but no luck. Thank for the suggestion though.
Currently awaiting (Since Jan) for a replacement screen from pumpkin. They have not been helpful.
Might give it a go at flashing the pumpkin rom without the screen on
Hi, Have a similar problem I have a Pumpin 10 4gb ram 32 rom. The screen is blank but the backlight work. I have no sound and nothing works, however, if I turn it off and on again every now and again I get something like Pumpkin 10 for a split second then the blank screen.
I tried the reset button a few times but nothing
Folks,
I purchased a Pumpkin unit model SKU: 11-RQ1405E-US-A, it won't let me post the link because I'm a Newb.
My problem is after installing just a few apps the unit is full and unusable or the last few months do to Play Store unpdates. Takes 10 miles of driving before I can turn on the radio.
I have a 128 or 256GB SD in the system. It won't let me move hardly any apps to the SD card.
What are my options to making this thing not a POS.
I'd really like to set the SD at the bootable OS but all the hacks I have tried haven't worked.
Any ideas where to start? Do a reset and go from there?
Thanks
Tom

Hi,
I'm having touch issues on this headunit: YT9216B_00002_V004_20190801
When in apps, music player, file browser... touch screen won't register the touch. It's pretty annoying, because I can't navigate thru menus in apps.
-I have tried touch debugging and test in Factory setting. It registers the touch completely fine, but when in app it doesn't work.
- I have calibrated the screen using 5 touch method - It's the same issues.
Also when scrolling in Settings, if the option that is on the bottom I cant't click it. - Like it doesn't register the touch. And carrying a pc mouse in the car is dumb. - But when i'm on the home screen the apps that are on the bottom are clickable.
- Sometimes it will open the small window to choose the wallpaper by it self, and I cant close it. I have to wait until it times out.
-What i have tried:
- CAN BUS module is strapped down, and the connections aren't loose.
- Reset the HU to factory
- Tried Touch calibration
Is there a fix for this, maybe the headunit firmware update ? rom ?
Android: YT9216B_00002_V004_20190801
Android: 91. XY AUTO 3.0 ( 8227L)
CAN BUS : 3.0 ( 8227L)
DDR: 1G FLASH : 16 G
cpu: A7 1.3Ghz x 4
display: 1024*600
MCU: 3.1 (8227L)
I have found the firware V6.6 on XY auto site. Now I have an issue, when I put the USB and go into Android Info my touch isnt functioning in the place where I need to click update.
Is there any trick or mouse app that I could use as mouse because the USB will be used.
Not FYT, requested Moderator moves to Android Head units forum.
Never mind, i tried following the Video tutorial how to back up. It didnt work, and I even powered on the unit.
I enabled zoom gestures and i can move thru the unit.
I tried to update from ubs, but It failed. Gladly unit still works and boots normaly.
Last year I have upgraded my old Android headunit with a new one with a 10" screen popped out of the dash instead of a 7" screen tucked away in a cove.
Besides the major change in screen I also could put back the original Mercedes Benz headunit with its very nice but outdated NTG4.0 system.
So the previous system came with a head unit and a separate screen, while this systems only comes as a screen with some passthrough-dongle for the MB NTG system and other **** to hook into the canbus and insert audio.
At first sight a major improvement over the old unit:
- big screen with higher resolution
- easier to operate because more in reach
- the ability to make use of MB's original in-car system which gets displayed on the big screen. (only drawback is that it can only be operated with the COMAND knobble on the center console)
That being said, I immediately switch bluetooth back to the MB head unit because hands-free sounds quality of the android unit is still horrible, people can not hear me (even if put the mic in front of my mouth) and most of the time they sound like a robot.
But, where I could identify the previous unit as a MTCE system, this new system I have yet to figure out what it is !
So this is why I reach out to the community and try to establish the make and model so I can search in the right forum.
This what I know.
I contacted the previous seller, Witson, for the new unit.
In the end it got sold by a seller called Avgotop.
So, Avgotop = Witson ? They do seam to keep up the same model numbers
Thus officially it is a: AVGOTOP Android 10 GPS Car Radio for MERCEDES-BENZ GLK 220 X204 2008-2012 NTG4.0 ZF6308
But this is what I extracted from the system:
MCU version: 615085dFY-N4.5-G-DC-201105
APP version: Ksw-Q-Userdebug_OS_v2.5.4
System version: 10-9853EA-1
Model: msm8953 for arm64
Android security patch: September 5, 2019
Baseband version: MSM8953EA_M501_Q_20200519.1
Kernel version: 4.9.186 #1 Mon Aug 24 15:17:27 CST 2020
I'm searching for possible updates and improvements:
1st: have the system startup faster, the unit completely boots every time, even when the contact has been off for a second.
The only advantage is that the original MB in-car system is instantly on and displayed on the screen, I only have to wait for Android to be booted to make use of navigation or music apps.
So I am looking for some setting or update that can make use of the sleep function of android.
2nd: this is Android 10 and I have a wide screen, so I should have the ability to run apps side-by-side, right ?
Well, it doesn't. But while a friend of mine with some other chinese head unit with android 10 can.
Again looking for an update which enables this default Android 10 feature.
3rd: would be a nice to have: automatic dimming/brightening of the display on a sunset/sunrise schedule, since these systems lack a light sensor.
As usually when reaching to the seller for support, you get total silence.
Hello Everyone,
I've purchased recently a Tesla-style Android head unit Model YT5750B not YT5760B, it's a vertical screen with android 11.0
the machine specs :
2.2 GHz, 4GB Ram, 64G - wifi & 4G resolution 1024x768, MCU1: 0.7 AC8259
I've updated the firmware mistakenly with one file from YX Auto from Folder ""series 57 brush kit"", it was copied wrongly to the USB drive & the name is **(0 1 UI_Xinmenghui LG Screen)
The machine received the update file and restarted but with a white screen with lines & the touch is working. Also, the machine works for the boot, loading applications, playing the radio, etc.
I've tried to reset the bottom on the top of the screen several times, also I've reset the settings but still, the problem is not solved
could you please try to help me to solve this issue of the white screen display and no colors?
