SPflash on K4note: Ran in to issue - Lenovo Vibe K4 Note Questions & Answers

Hi
I was trying to unlock bootloader using spflash. While doing so i have wrote uboot ro wrong memory address by mistake.
Now my phone is hung at homescreen and keep on rebooting.
Any suggestions?

1. Reboot to stock recovery- Press and hold Vol+, Vol- and Power button simultaneously. Release power button when you feel a vibration, and release Vol+ and Vol- buttons after screen lights up( When you see Lenovo Logo).
2. Select clear data from the recovery.
3. Reboot you device.
If that doesn't work, you need to flash stock rom to you device.

My lenovo k4 note is not turning on after flashing With SP Flash tool
yesterday i flashed my Lenovo k4 note with SP Flash Tool with given files , after flashing the phone is not turning ON . Please suggest the next step
Thanks in Advance

TWRP instalation problem

I have an unlocked bootloader and I try to flash twrp on my ale-l21, but whatever version I use to flash via fastboot (2.8.7.x, 3.0, 3.0.0.2), it gives me a black screen whenever I boot to recovery.
My build is B560. Can someone help me please root this device without passing to recovery or help me with this problem. thanks!
try with this twrp https://mega.nz/#!iUsxXDSL!uG5JmWFxnHH9vwHR-gvgn9ekJ3AQs0j_x6lL_SwXLuQ flash by fastboot, once is done, reboot your phone and remove your usb cable, now turn of your phone, press and hold volume up and power button, once you see huawei logo release power button but keep hold volume up,it should boot up in to recovery, for root go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite/general/mega-thread-root-unbricking-updating-t3400994 and read Chapter 8: Getting root.

[HELP] Recovery doesn't get permanently flashed.

I recently rooted my Redmi 3S after unlocking my bootloader ( yes, applying for a request from the mi unlock page and everything) (not pro not prime, just the 3S)
I was on MIUI8, the most latest version ( I know this because I went to software update page and no updates were available. lol )
I proceeded to unlock my bootloader via the MIUnlock program ( nope, no errors, no 50% stuck issues) and flashed twrp and stuff from this link http://xiaomitips.com/guide/how-to-flash-twrp-and-root-redmi-3s/
Then I proceeded to flash LineAgeOS and from there whenever i try to reboot into recovery ( yes, i have the advanced reboot options) it just reboots into the main os completely skipping the recovery. I found this strange the first time and thought it was my mistake. But I tried volume down+power which is just Fastboot all the time. I tried volume up+power too, it just stays on the Mi screen. But whenever i run the twrp-installer.bat i got from the http://xiaomitips.com/guide/how-to-flash-twrp-and-root-redmi-3s/ it boots into TWRP. so, basically there is no twrp for me to access without me having access to a computer. I tried copying the recovery.img onto my phone and tried installing it as an image into the recovery. but same issue persists. I just can't access the twrp recovery without using a computer. Please help
Edit : I disabled dm-verify too
I had the same problem with my Redmi 3s 2/16
For me works
WITH OPEN BOOTLOADER
I flashed TWRP with Fastboot
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
>>>directly after flashing<<<
1.) Push Vol+ and Vol- and Power at the same time
2.) If you see the MI-Logo release ONLY the Powerbutton and wait
3.) With a little bit luck you are now entering TWRP
4.) If not, do not release Vol+ and Vol-, the Devicescreen went totally black
5.) Do not release Vol+ and Vol- and push now the Power Button
6.) If you see the MI-Logo release ONLY the Powerbutton and wait
7.) Then TWRP starts (for me)
8.) A few times i landed into the chinese menue, then push the recovery button, with a little bit luck you arrive TWRP
9.) If nothing helps, and the device starts normally, imho the process changes twrp back into the original recovery -- then flash twrp again and start from Point 1.)
NOTE!! If you enter TWRP the first time go to Advanced Settings and tap on --Disable DM-Verify-- .
After i disabled DM-Verify and flashed the Xiaomi.eu Rom the above worked for me without every time flashing twrp.
I worked 6 hours at this workaround

Holy **** thanks. I booted into twrp with vol- and vol+ + power button directly after flashing

[General Info] Entering recovery mode on the Redmi 3S

If you flashed the twrp recovery image from http://xiaomitips.com/guide/how-to-flash-twrp-and-root-redmi-3s/ and cant boot into the recovery using vol down + power ( which is basically fastboot ) or the volume + up ( which is just booting into rom )
To boot into your TWRP Recovery or any other recovery that you've installed
1) Power off your phone ( Don't have any cable connected to it )
2) Volume up + Volume down + power button and hold
3) When you see the Mi Logo appear , Let go of ONLY the power button
4) If you've successfully flashed the twrp image on the recovery, you should be entering twrp mode now.
5) Disable dm-verify from advanced settings.
You're done :good::good::good:
The only reason i made this post was for all the android phones i've used, volume down+power button meant going into recovery mode, and not fastboot mode. this was the first phone with different key mechanics and I thought you guys should know as well
TL;DR? Volume up + volume down + power = Recovery
Volume down + power = Fastboot mode always
Volume up + power / Power button = Normal boot
Great information ??

Your method works not every time. From time to time its different.

Glad buddy
Thanks, OP.
Just would like to confirm that disabling DM-Verify option does not make the phone go into Recovery/Bootloader mode via Advanced Power Options menu while the phone is ON.

P9 lite l31 Boot loop that I can't find any information about anywhere! Unique, yay.

I tried to update my wife's P9 lite to Nougat manually and initially succeeded in some way. The version I installed via the dload install method turned out to be some sort of Bluetooth disabled demo firmware (I can't remember the name of it).
I then tried to downgrade back to MM 6.0/EMUI 4.1 and now have a bricked phone. I can't actually turn it off!
Hard reset options do nothing.
Here is the current situation:
The phone is always on - the Huawei logo is displayed with 'powered by Google' at the foot of the screen.
Holding down the power button returns the phone to the same screen after a vibration and a brief moment of blackness.
Holding all three buttons results in a double vibration then back to the same screen.
Power and down vol leads to black screen, vibrate, back to logo screen.
Power and vol up is the same as vol down result.
I'm out of ideas. Nothing online mirrors these faults. I'm ashamed to admit defeat but it is as dead as I've seen any handset. I can't believe it won't even power down. I'm in the doghouse here. Wife is not happy!
Download any update eg b161, download trwp and connect your phone to PC then press power + vol down. U should land to fastboot then open adb/fastboot and type fastboot oem unlock "unlock code" then enter if u get unlocked then flash trwp by fastboot flash recovery trwp.img after that go to trwp and flash the update.zip u downloaded. Then reboot

[SOLVED] [zui 3.5+] Cannot boot into fastboot / recovery Cannot encrypt

So my friend messed up his zuk z2 plus by flashing zui 4.0 and gave it to me to fix it
On boot it showed encryption unsuccessfull
I tried booting in the recovery and fastboot but it couldn't boot
The device was f**ked up
So i did some research and came across a thread from [email protected] about booting in EDL mode
EDL is emergency download mode
Now to boot into EDL you should power off the device
hold volume up button for 15 second
After 15 second cilck the power button (instant click like you do for going on lock screen 0.5sec) (don't leave volume key)
Now press and hold power button and instantly insert USB cable (insert during device vibrates)
If ( u did it right ){
the zuk logo should blink and disappear and you will be in EDL mode
}else{
your device will boot normally
}
Now you can flash stock rom using mi flash tool
You will need to download qpst version of ROM for flashing
You need to install right drivers for flashing via mi flash tool
I tried using QPST/QFIL but it gave some error
I hope this article helpful
