I DON'T KNOW THE ANSWER... but I have a rooted, unlocked BL, with TWRP on 5.0 OF1 BUILD and here is what it says in the DOWNLOAD MODE.
Odin mode
Product name: Sm-900v
Current Binary: Custom
System Status: Custom
Reactivation Lock: off
Qualcomm Secure Boot: enabled (csb)
Ap Swrev: S1,T1,A1,A4,P1
MODE: Developer
Secure Download: Enable
UDC Start
I think the "MODE: Developer" is the answer if the bootloader is unlocked. BUT AGAIN I DON'T KNOW FOR SURE.
What you can try to find out for yourself is..
1.go to download mode and write down what it says.
2. Root your phone.. then check what it says again.
3. Unlock BL again see what it says.
If it says "Developer" after you unlock bl then it a good assumption that it's ulocked.
Good luck.

Yes, if you see developer mode on the download page... It is bootloader unlocked.

I don't know if I can root again my j5. Yesterday I installed a custom recovery (twrp) in j5 2015 (v 6.0.1 marshmallow) and root my device successfully. Then by mistake I untick oem unlock and restart my phone. Then I got a message saying " Custom binary locked by frp or fap don't remember exactly. I installed Samsung kies 3, enter download mode and flash new firmware successfully. Today I was about to install custom recovery again and when I went into download mode, I noticed something different. Warranty void 0x1 (2) I google it but in every forum, every post it showing that have in front know but in my phone its just saying "warranty void 0x1 (2)" anyway my question is if I can install again custom recovery and root without bricking my device because of this message. Please answer soon.

Yes just go ahead and never disable OEM unlock.
I've got a rooted Samsung S5 SM-G906L (korean) and I've successfully installed resurrection remix via a twrp flash: V5.6.3-20160212-lentislte.zip
It all went well but when I reboot I now just get "set warranty bit : Kernel" - i think the bootloader is locked
I think my bootloader is locked but after reading many forums I still can't tell whether it's locked AND more important i can't unlock it.
I'd like to get RR working but atm it looks like I need to restore my backup or go to stock firmware (both of which can be done)
Ive tried adm and other suggestions still cant install rom.
In download mode it says:
Odin mode
Qualcom secureboot: Enable (CSB)
Reactivation lock: off
Secure download: enabling
UDC start
Help!!!!
Okay, so I have hard bricked my Note 3. I know, I know...months back my phone died out and I got a new phone on MetroPCS. So I didn't really try to do anything with it. It would load to the Verizon screen and go no further. Well I dropped my new MPCS phone in some (a lot of) water and after dismantling and cleaning it, its dead and buried. So, for now I was going to see if I could reflash stock software for my Note 3 and enable the LTE bands for Tmobile. Blah blah, long story short. I flashed TWRP and it worked, I went to reboot it after a wipe and I think I deleted everything. I used the OF1 unbrick img to see what would happen because there was no PL1 linked, and I get:
Boot Recovery Mode
Check boot partitions
Copy from T-Flash
Boot Recovery
Write 163840 Sectors
Flash Write Failure
ddi : mmc_read failed
Odin Mode
Product Name: SM-N900V
Current Binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Custom
Reactivation Lock: Off
Qualcomm Secureboot: Enable (CSB)
AP SWREV: S1, T1, A1, A4, P1
Secure Download: Enable
UDC Start
So, a sign of life...however I can't get into download mode. I think I need a PL1 unbrick image to get it there. Any takers on making me one? I've read the Unbrick hard brick forum and the farthest anyone has gone was to OF1 so I didn't know if anyone was running a PL1 version that could make the image for me. Please let me know.
Thanks In Advance

Is your boot loader unlocked? If not you must use Odin to flash full stock ROM and recovery. The N900V will not boot with a custom recovery unless the boot loader is unlocked. You need a working, rooted phone with a CID # that starts with 15 in order to unlock the boot loader.
Bootloader is unlocked and it was rooted, obviously not now but I had no issue running TWRP before.

Did the unbrick image replace the boot loader? I have not used/need the unbrick image and I'm not sure what is in it. If boot loader is unlocked and TWRP is working you should be able to flash any n900v ROM to get it working. I'll look at the unbrick image, if I can find it.
Well, it had TWRP. I installed TWRP with the intention of flashing a new ROM to it because it was soft-bricked and stuck on the VZW flash screen. When I rebooted it didn't respond. The only response I have now is the Recovery boot mode with the OF1 unbrick.img and it won't go into download mode or recovery. No response at all without the SD card in it.
Thanks
From what I've been able to google, this means my bootloader is still locked. If I try to flash with Odin, I get this:.
ODIN MODE (HIGH SPEED)
PRODUCT NAME: SM-G930U
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Officail
FRP LOCK: OFF
WARRANTY VOID: 0x0
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE
RP SWREV: B4(2, 1, 1, 1, 1) K1 S3
SECURE DOWNLOAD : ENABLE
I know Odin detects the phone, it doesn't seem to be an issue with computer -> phone connection.
turned on OEM Unlock and USB debugging, fired up Odin and my phone is telling me the following when I boot it into recovery:
SECURE CHECK FAIL : recovery
And in Odin, the log looks happy as a clam, then tells me
FAIL! (Auth)
I'm really not sure why this is happening shows OEM Unlock as being enabled. I know Odin detects the phone, it doesn't seem to be an issue with computer -> phone connection.
loop on recovery booting and the phone does not accept any official U or V FW
the error is" unsupport dev_type"
please help me
I think you tried to flash custom recovery? Flash stock rom downloaded from updato, heres the link https://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?record=839E6F7BC66911E89F15FA163EE8F90B
I also noticed you have a 930, this is edge (935) forum
Additionally, you have 930U, Snapdragon device with locked and not unlockable bootloader. If you are attempting to unlock your bootloader by switching OEM Unlock you won't be able to do it since at 21 december 2018 locked Snapdragon S7 bootloader is not unlockable by any known way
I have an sm-935v which has not taken updates since way before dec 2018, it is at baseband 4 (the 5th digit from rt to lft). Does that mean my bootloader is possibly NOT locked? How would u go about checking if it is in fact unlocked? I have already rooted my s7edge using kingoroot. The android version is 8.0.
i have s7 edge g935u qualcom (oreo version) iwant to install twrp but i did not find qualcombased file is anyone help me....?
Each time i try to flash TWRP recovery on my galaxy s8 i keep getting this error
only official binaries are allowed to be flashed(recovery) twrp it's the 950f model
Flash stock firmware to fix.
Make sure OEM is unlocked in developers options.
In download mode make sure KG/RMM state is showing checking/normal
Also make sure FRP is off.

What kind of stock firmware?
Rmm sate: prenormal is this ok?
Stock firmware can be downloaded from websites like updato, sammobil etc.
Or search on XDA for PC app called frija. It will download latest firmware.
If RMM state showed prrenormal you can't flash twrp, root etc. Has to be normal or disappeared from download mode.
