This is a COMPLETE TUTORIAL How to Root and Flash Gapps on Lenovo K3 Note Official Stock Vibeui 3.1 1614 St Android 6.0
First of all Download all necessary Files :: Mirror 1# Google Drive
Alternative gapps package
Nano gapps package
Once you downloaded the files put them on your External SD card
Now Reboot to Your Custom Recovery(In This guide i use TWRP 3.0.0.3 recovery with Material theme for Example but the same steps are for all others)

Than Navigate to the Folder that you downloaded
Once you are there Simply flash the Three Files in This Order: 1. Flash The K3_NOTE_PATCHED_BOOT_1614 -Dont reboot 2.Go back to the Folder and flash SuperSU-v2.71-Again Dont reboot 3.Again return to the Folder and Flash Gapps Setupwizard fix for vibe 3.1 3.5 and than Reboot
Once you Boot Up Next thing You need to do is to Allow all Permissions Google related:Google playstore,Google play services and Google services framework.

Of course you can mate Just flash TWRP recovery Follow this Tutorial
After u successfully Install the TWRP go to Recovery Backup/Whatever you want to backup and thats pretty much it

Well that's weird...Try to Allow All Google Related permissions if that dont work just try this ALternative Gapps fix package and report your Progress

Upon boot, clicking "Try To Solve' and then enabling permissions allowed the Setup Wizard to proceed to launcher screen.
Next, going to Play Store and updating "Google Play Services" sorted the rest out.
Thanks! The automatic system update messed up GApps quite badly for me, this helped a lot!

Try this way: Backup your personal Data first with Titanium or whatever.than after you flash the gapps(btw ou can try the latest Pico package from http://opengapps.org/) and than after he phone boot than reboot to recovery and make a FACTORY RESET only and the next boot all FC will be fixed.

And Im badly in need of a custom recovery. I don't have a PC so can't install a custom recovery. I don't have root access too. Now what I'm planning is to downgrade my device to lollipop and root it and flash a recovery. To do this please help me. Or please help me with rooting my phone without PC. This in NOT Backup TA Partition or Bootloader Unlock thread.
FTFs on this thread are original STOCK rom files.
If your device BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED, you can use Patched Kernel if you want.
If your device BOOTLOADER LOCKED, you can NOT use Patched Kernel.
You do NOT have to USE patched kernel, just flash FTF. Use like a stock ROM.
I build Patched Kernels for ROOT, TWRP, MAGISK users.

You can try without wipe, i canNOT guaranteed it will be good.
If you get errors, then you will flash with wipe options.

Here's my report:
I followed the 14 guide steps, except for wiping everything (I didn't select any wiping option at all).
No root device with intention to keep the factory-clean firmware as well as all user data.
The device was originally "Customized HK", that hasn't received any latest FW updates.
New FW installed flawlessly, keeping all user data on device :good: :laugh:

i installed this version of nougat and now i can't install this https://forum.xda-developers.com/cr.../sonyz5-family-unlocked-xz-xc-camera-t3463148 or other mods . They install in the recovery but when i start the camera i get the stock camera app with no mods. i have root, twrp from tis thread and i did a whipe cache but didn't help. Do i need to do anything else to fix this?

I couldn't find twrp_common modules for 3.1.0, only for 3.0.2

I looked at update-script and modded files. They have different package names..
Sony camera app's name is not "SuperVideoCamera" anymore..
You have to edit all apk, jar, odex file names and script..

In case anyone else experiences it — on first boot, i couldn't add fingerprints as the scanner didn't seem to work. Skipped it and after a reboot, everything worked fine.

You can Use the TWRP from MI8 and then you only have to edit the updater script in the custom.rom.zip
0. Use "MI8 TWRP" on "MI8 Explorer Edition" and install custom ROM
1. open downloaded custom "rom.zip"
2. go to -> \xiaomi.eu_multi_MI8Explorer_V10.0.4.0.OEHCNFH_v10-8.1.zip\META-INF\com\google\android\
3. edit -> updater-script
4. change -> getprop("ro.product.device") == "ursa" to getprop("ro.product.device") == "dipper"

Everytime i install TWRP im never able to boot a new rom... ive tried miui.eu and others because i want global but the phone is stuck on the roms screen loading but never starts... no bootloop though...
other than the recovery do u install anything else? any other steps?

Did you run in twrp data wipe? This is required in the first installation for the xiaomi, eu version

Flashed it and here are some findings :
Everything is smooth, official twrp works but rooting isn't possible just yet.
Bugs I found :those mentioned above, adb doesn't work; it shows the device as offline, the disable absolute volume option in developer settings doesn't work, no auto brightness, random reboots every once in a while, proximity sensor isn't working, camera key doesn't work, no otg, speakers and camera are bad (just like other roms)
Other than that, NFC, gapps work (contacts aren't syncing) , RIL, WiFi, bt work fine.
I can use this as a daily driver.

I bring to you the correct explain for Install the ROM on Xperia X F5121 (Single Sim):
Step 1:
Download the F5121 ROM Build from OP.
Step 2:
Download the F5122 system.img.
Step 3:
Replace recovery.img with the latest TWRP (thanks to @Chippa_a) and renamed the file as "TWRP.img".
Step 4:
Put it all in a folder and use the follow utility for install the ROM:
For Windows (Install Minimal ADB and Fastboot first, and put ROM Files and the Utility there)
For Linux/Mac (Install ADB and Fastboot from Terminal first, and put this utility with the ROM files).
Step 5:
After install DON'T BOOT the phone for now; in change, try boot to TWRP and install the Gapps.
Step 6:
Boot to the phone normally, and enjoy.
Q&A:
Q: Why I need flash the F5122 system.img on my F5121?
A: Cuz, system.img from F5121 build launch a "failed verification" at start, and doesn't work. (Thanks to @xrenoix, for the info).
Q: Can I install the Gapps later to the first boot?
A: You can't, sometimes, doesn't show when you install it after to the first boot.
Q: Can I root the AOSP 9.0 ROM?
A: Maybe, using Magisk 17, I suppose.
Q: Why I can't download anything with the browser?
A: Well, normally the AOSP Browser on alpha builds is bugged in general, the downloads, included.
Q: Why you put an Utility for install the ROM?
A: Easy, for make some time and the new persons in this don't be stressed trying installing the ROM.
Q: Official GApps doesn't show after install, now what?
A: For the moment IDK how to fix it; try ask to the OP @[email protected], for that.

Anyways, I flashed the ROM and Bluetooth doesn't work. Is this a known bug?
EDIT: Bluetooth, GPS aren't working in this build. And phone calls can't be heard with v2 of software binaries. V1 is more stable.
EDIT 2: I'm done using this. It can't be rooted and every time I try to reboot, it fails verification and powers off. Don't know if it's a problem with the software binaries or the ROM.

TWRP doesn't flash anything

I have flashed stock MM rom , now whenever i try to flash any kernel twrp freezes and phone restarts to recovery, I've used this armoa supported TWRP https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j5/development/3-customs-recoverys-galaxy-j5-2015-t3560266
latest official TWRP and also latest Orangefox, all had the same issue, what should I do?
UPDATE: Problem resolved after reflashing the stock and debloating it, not sure which one did the trick but anyways it worked!

If you can flash rom, Gapps or any other things expect kernel, then your twrp works fine and you flash the wrong kernel for that one(you flashed the another model)
And maybe it's bc of your twrp that can't flash kernel and need the special one that the kernel dev should be mentioned

yes, I can flash everything else except kernels.
the issue is all TW 6.0.1 kernels here have their links removed so I just have them from re-uploaders outside of xda forums, here is a kernel of a total of 3 kernels that don't even flash no matter what recovery I'm using

update: the recovery doesn't freeze in the middle of the procedure. it freezes at the very beginning like "checking digest files" and things like that

the issue is all TW 6.0.1 kernels here have their links removed so I just have them from re-uploaders outside of xda forums, here is a kernel of a total of 3 kernels that don't even flash no matter what recovery I'm using

update: the recovery doesn't freeze in the middle of the procedure. it freezes at the very beginning like "checking digest files" and things like that

That's the problem. Unpack the zip and there should be a boot.img inside. No wonder it wasn't working.

already tried that, but have you looked at the file? it has patches for wifi and things like that, when I extracted the zip file and flashed only the boot.img the rom worked but without wifi and with a lot of bugs.

Try using an earlier TWRP, the 3.3 version has trouble flashing some zips

Problem resolved after reflashing the stock and debloating it, not sure which one did the trick but anyways it worked!
