Zenfone 5 A501cg Not boot up. Battery not displaying. - Zenfone 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

There is the problem in the Asus Zenfone 5 a501cg:
1. On charging, it displays RED Rectangle block rather showing the Battery Icon in OFF mode and keeps the screen ON when switch OFF the charging on Red block. Long press OFF button turns off the Mobile.
Also, it doesn't show any LED indicator(orange) when showing RED Block.
2. When Switched ON from OFF state, it doesn't boot up. Rather it showing Red Block and hangs there. Long press OFF button turns off the Mobile.
Also, it doesn't boot up in Recovery mode by either pressing Volume Up + Power nor in Volume Down + power.
It was working fine before. I just removed the sim cards and after that it doesn't booting up.
Is it battery Dead indicator or what?

Dont worry, just let your phone charge.
The Red box indicator is due to low battery and hence you cant access Fastboot or Recovery.
Thank Me later.

i charged it for several hours...not boot up..i have now ordered new battery from ebay.

My 8525 keeps shutting down by its self

When I turn it on, it stays for a while and shuts down
same thing happens over and over
Does anyone have an idea about this problem?
We need more detail.
How long is a "while"
Does it always do this or is it random behaviour?
Is the battery fully charged?
Have you tried soft / hard resets?
Does the device go completely off or is it just the screen that goes off? (i;e; when you switch the device back on, do you need a long press on the power button or just a quick press?)
Mike
it shuts down completely(i need a long press to turn it back on)
sometimes it stays for 5 minutes sometimes 20 minutes
and the battery is fully charged

OK, it sounds like you have the poor battery contacts problem. To be sure, you can do a hard reset to rule out any software issues. If you have no backup program installed then you will lose anything you have installed to the phone however.
So you could go straight to a simple fix for this problem. That is a strip of card to push the battery more firmly against the gold connectors. First make sure the connectors are all clean:

In some rarer cases the connector block with all the gold contacts has actually become partially detached from the board - perhaps a hairline crack in the soldered contacts. Hopefully yours does not have this problem though.

[SOLVED] 2012 N7 won't turn on after bootloader/recovery mode error.

My N7 did the OTA 4.4 update without a hitch and performed without issue afterwards. Finally having some spare time today, I decided to root it. I've been rooting the device since I bought it so this was not going to be a new exercise for me. I went to:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2531000
and downloaded the zip and copied it to Internal Storage. I tried to reboot into Recovery but managed to drop myself into the bootloader. Instead of powering off I selected Recovery Mode and after a few seconds the screen changed to the green android robot lying on its back with its front hatch open, a triangle with an exclamation mark inside it and the text "missing command". Figuring that I'd blundered into a dead end analagous to a BSOD on a desktop, I tried to power off the tablet but it wouldn't respond to the power button. I popped off the cover and unplugged the battery.
I let it sit unplugged for a short while and then reconnected it. Now the tablet does not respond to the power button. I can't turn it on.
I've been Googling this but all I've found is posts meant for people with charging issues. My tablet did have that issue but I fixed it long ago and it never returned. I've been trying the methods in those various posts just to see if they might work. So far, no joy. The battery was at 60% when this happened.
The tablet has performed beautifully until now. I'm having great trouble believing that the error plus unplugging the battery has bricked it. I've plugged it into the charger and plan to keep trying the various starting methods. Any suggestions or insights into what has happened would be appreciated.
[edit] The charging animation does not appear after plugging in the tablet. I've checked and re-checked the battery connector and it is completely inserted and snug.
[edit 2] I connected the tablet to my desktop to see what happened. Normally when I do this with the tablet off it just charges and nothing else happens. This time, the pc spent some time thinking before giving an error chime and the following messages. I hope it provides an important clue...

The problem is resolved. I'm not sure why, but here's what happened.
I managed to borrow another 2012 Nexus 7 from a co-worker. On a whim, I removed their battery and connected it to my N7. The tablet started up normally. I then connected my battery to their N7. It, too, started normally. I restored my battery to my unit and pressed the power button. It started normally.
I have no idea why the tablet is working now but I'm grateful that it is. The lesson that might be drawn from this is to not be hesitant to swap components in a malfunctioning tablet, even if you don't envision the swap as being relevent or productive. In my case, it seems to have given the tablet the kick in the pants that it needed to get moving again. :good:

Broken - help please...

I have a relatively new (refurbished) nexus 7 (2012) that got a sudden fault of not turning on at all.
When plugged in I get the normal charging icons (central screen) as when the tablet is off.
Unplugged it does nothing with any button press: power, power + all combination of volume buttons.
Pledged in it does something only with power button - backlight turns on with dark background and flickering stripes of static.
Plugging into pc shows nothing.
It's been sent if for repair and they said the battery was ploughed in backwards! And they've swapped it around.
I don't get how it worked for a month if it was the wrong way around in the first place.
Sent back to me this week with no change!!
Suggestions of ways to resolve it my self?

You can open the back plate of the Nexus 7 yourself. It comes off fairly easily. You can then see if the charging port is clear of debris, if it might be slightly bent out of shape, or if somehow the battery is connected backwards... LOL. That seems highly unlikely to me.
What you are describing sounds more like sleep of death, or what happens when you drain the n7 battery completely. Something is wonky with the firmware and it "forgets" how to charge when the battery is too low. Doing this off the top of my head but I think what you are supposed to do is;
1 - plug in charger, which starts the charging animation.
2 - hold power+volume up+volume down to boot into the bootloader
3 - using the volume buttons to scroll, select reboot (or recovery)
4 - quickly unplug then plug back in the charging cable. Timing is key.
There is a thread in the Q&A forums with other methods if I didn't write that down right, or it if doesn't work.
Problem solved!
I popped open the back cover to find the connection from the battery to the main board nut fitting tightly all the way in (only by about 5mm). Pushed it in and secured it.

Charging anomaly / Ghost recovery mode?

Summary: Charged phone from a power bank, now it won't charge anymore.
My mother charged the phone from some power bank from a friend, as she describes it "it charged very fast and it was very hot". Then it also drained pretty quickly. Now when connecting the original cable and charger from a power outlet it won't charge, nothing shows up (even after 1 hour).
- the power button doesn't do anything, recovery mode won't work either, not even launching in safe mode
- the cable and charger work perfectly (they tested with the other p10 lite phone they got in the house)
- after connecting the cable, not even the led light won't turn on
Here is the strange part.
RANDOMLY ! It will boot up itself into recovery suggesting to update it, after they hit update, they connect successfully to the house Wifi, it will say something like "package information failed to gather". Other options are wipe/factory reset, reboot, shutdown.
Now, I guess I'll try a wipe/factory reset next time it goes into recovery by itself, it happens randomly, can't be done manually since the power button doesn't do anything.
I told them to connect it to the laptop, to which the phone is showing the Huawei logo for a while, then it disappears. But after many tries, we got it to somehow connect with "fast boot" and I managed to take this screenshot.

}
I then installed Hisuite and tried to connect to their recovery thing, but this device isn't supported for that.
Some final thoughts, I am still confused as to what the actual issue is, or if there is more than 1 issue.
- the port might be fried from the power bank, but then it still works sometimes, just it doesn't actually charge
- the power button doesn't do anything, maybe because the phone is on 0 battery
- the phone data is corrupted somehow and it won't load the OS, because after connecting to the PC instead of finish loading the OS (after the huawei logo) the logo disappears and nothing happens.
I'm hella confused about this situation. I also told them to use a toothbrush to clean the usb port, still no results.
Any suggestions?

UIS8141E based head unit, L818_168-Ver_K5 motherboard problem.

Hello,
First of all, thank you for taking your time and reading my post.
Recently I purchased the android head unit for my car. During the installation process, I quickly connected the cables to test the unit before mounting it. The unit turned on and booted without a problem, but the screen was upside down, so in order to mount it, I had to rotate the screen. I disconnected the screen cable and the digitizer cable, rotated the screen and reconnected the cables. After testing the unit again, there was no display! The backlight was randomly flashing and I was even able to hear the radio. So the unit was turned on, I had a problem with display. I made a mistake: I didn't take a photos of screen connectors, so I think I incorrectly connected these cables. After several attempt, I pressed the RST button for a while. I thought I was a software problem and pressing the RST button would RESTART the device. But after pressing the RST button, the unit is dead. It doesn't turn on, anymore., the screen is black, no backlight. When connecting power cable, the LED lamp near the CPU is turned off. I tried to connect it to the PC using a USB cable. When I connected it, nothing happened, no new device was detected on PC. I checked the fuse and it is OK. I also recognized some testing points on the motherboard and these points appear to have correct voltage, 3,3v and 5v.
However, the LED_VCC is 0 and LED+ has 0 voltage.
I haven't flashed any custom firmware. Is there any chance to recover the device? Maybe I need to follow some instructions after pressing the RST button?
I've attached some photos of the device.
The CPU is: UIS8141E,
4GB RAM, 32 GB ROM.
It should have android 12, however I didn't have a chance to properly identify the OS.
