I will check on g531h. I got the ultra data saving months ago via update but the theme is something that i didnt get. Btw i have to wait for some time cuz i give my g531h to my bro as his phone got damaged and I bought an lg. But i miss grand prime because there is still no proper way to root this lg device and it doesnt have anything like odin so it sucks.

No the problem is that it doesnt have an unlocked bootloader so when you try these tools there is a possibility that the phone gets bootloop and as there is no odin type proper software for lg it cant be recovered easily. Recovery is your luck for this phone which im having.

Nah its MM. You can check it its LG K10. But its not the 2017 k10 that is a new model but i wont try to root it not before the mid of 2017 i guess cuz i just bought it a month ago. Btw I checked my grand prime it doesnt have the update yet. Ill check another firmware for my country via odin when my bro gets a new phone cuz this country has 3-4 different firmwares and the one which i flashed on my phone (without knowing what was my stock firmware because i flashed my first firmwsre when i was a complete noob)has the oldest updat date.

Ik i mean is this from the update? Any new thing in the update you noticed other than this? Samsung should include a changelog after every update. The last update on my grand prime gave made fb as a sydtem app and i didnt have fb installed at that time so it got installed. Why does samsung wants me to keep fb?

Have many people managed to sign up to the BETA?
The app is in the Galaxy App Store
Just signed up this evening. Got the app from the Galaxy Apps rather than the Play Store. I'm on unlocked XEU firmware so hoping for a notification tomorrow!
http://www.sammobile.com/2015/12/22...s-for-android-6-0-marshmallow-in-south-korea/
Get the apk from there I've just registered for the beta update :3
Guess we got to be in the UK or S.Korea for this. My G925F was noted as "unsupported device" by Galaxy Care app.
Seemed to work okay in the UK (/.\)
I signed up last night and this morning have an update available at 1173.58mb. Didn't know it was coming out so soon?!
Me too!
That's a third different size.
Some are getting 1200mb,1170 and I got 1180.
I'm from Germany. You just need to download the apk and apply. Worked for me.

Registered this morning using the Galaxy Care apk in the betatester program. I have just clicked the "Check updates" option in the configuration menu of my device and suddenly started to download the 6.0 update.
So, maybe those who have joined the program, can force the update this way aswell.
My phone is an unlocked and never rooted G925F with the CSC code changed to XEU and the last 5.1.1 update installed. I live in Spain.
So.... Initial reaction was - gods, I hate that EVERY icon now has a Samsung shaped background /border

Tested right before replacing my N7 (v1)...
After upgrading to latest API4 "Green Battery" Update...
Confirmed:
- Unable to Odin Sprint "Root" Firmware...
- Unable to downgrade to APGC...
Result...
No root & stuck with API4... (Not bricked)
so... in other words... IF you want root... stay with APGC and simply wait for an API4 ROM... (with APGC bootloader)
Get the new phone... and DO NOT update...

The API4 update is available to V1 phones. I took it, knowing I'd be getting a new phone in a couple of days.
As I understand it, they'll make you take it one way or the other.
i can confirm do not update your v2 note 7 to the new firmware. you cannot downgrade and they have blocked the sprint userdebug firmware from even flashing.
if you want to keep root. don't do it.
wht are the chances that the update comes straight from the box..
It does bro....i got mines today and it automatically started down loading...i just asked this question to @jovy23 in another thread
Yep, mine installed right out of the box. what a bunch of a-holes. wifes did the same thing, no root now welp, perhaps its time to return it and buy a different phone. this is retarded.

as long as the phones don't come preinstalled then it's fine.
Well... I just updated to API4 intentionally, to try out the new update on my v1 device. I gotta say it's much more snappier now and lag is completely gone after it fully boots everything. But it's still not worth losing root over. So I'm either gonna get a refund or buy the international version, better yet might just say goodbye to sammy all together.
I don't know why anyone is still surprised about non-Nexus devices being locked down. Sure, a device might get root access, but it's the OEMs job to fix it in future builds because it's an exploit that needs to be fixed.
My update downloaded but I disabled, anyone know where the update file is? What folder? I can't find it.
the update ran as soon as it connected to their wifi network to set up the phone. crap, can't root now.

Same here, it downloads on its own but it can be postponed up to 3 times before it automatically installs the update, so what do I have to disable so the update won't install, or where can i find the update and delete that sob? Any info would be much appreciated as I don't have access to a computer to root or have the time at this very moment.

You can go into settings and turn off auto updates, or download package disabler from the play store and disable the 2 software updates lines. I still have a v1 phone and no update here because of that

Ive updated my Nova CAN-L11 (not rooted) two days ago to Nougat (B340) and i didnt have any issue until now. Themes app is working without any problems.
Ive encountered 2-3 slowdowns, but Chrome might have been the issue as i had too many tabs opened.
Battery backup seems same. But it seems that there is more free ram. Also it seems that the Z-RAM is gone (if i remember properly, ive seen Z-RAM on MM at Android OS memory usage).
Ive upgraded mainly because i wanted to test as well and because i like more the notification panel. However, i think i would stick with MM for two reasons:
- it works just fine
- Xposed (usually i use only XPrivacy though)

Honestly, i feel a bit like i wanna rollback But im not sure if i will do it.
Did you try to rollback and failed? I read in the downgrading thread that some people has succesfully downgraded with the help of a TWRP backup.
Recently i read that reinstalling stock firmware relock the bootloader, so basically the phone still has warranty. If this is the case, ill root it right away as i cant bear it anymore without root
I should have rooted my Nova when i was on MM to take a backup with TWRP.

Yes i did, using MHA-AL00 and MHA-AL00C00 and none of them work. I can download the files but when i chec firmware access it says "not approved for installation". I wrote to the chinese support because of the HICare where you can see the quote of 20.000 but its always 0/20.000 i have tried every hour, hoping it will be reset and the quote will return to 20.000/20000 but nothing. Its a fake in my eyes. I guess they want to wait a few weeks/month before they release Oreo for the Mate 9 because to be honest, if Oreao would be available already for the Mate 9, there is no reason to buy the Mate 10, specially for those who have the MHA.AL00.

You'll have to install using HWOTA. Just flashing in TWRP won't do anything.

That's right, using Hi Care, couldn't be easier. I was a little upset because the context menu did not work but it was just because it had been reset to the default launcher. I use NOVA because i love to touch any app and a menu opens offering me: uninstall, remove, setup etc. That was the mayor reason to change to Nougat because i really loved Marshmallow. But now everything works fine, Gmail etc. I am happy. My wife is upset because she has the Samsung S8 and they will not release an update to OREO until it comes with the S9. I would never again buy me a Samsung mobile.
My google Play store did not work anymore, uninstall the one you have and use this one

Been running this since yesterday. Only issue I've come across is that I can't allow unknown sources. Other than that it's ok so far. Truly nothing groundbreaking about it compared to the latest official update.

Whaaa! That means that pretty soon we'll all be rolling in the bask of Oreo. Can't wait for the official update to roll out. [emoji2]

I installed the Oreo beta and don't like it. Want to go back to stable. I downloaded the original firmware AQH9 and have tried flashing in ODIN, but am getting a SHA256 failure error...
EDIT: Solved by using newer BQJA firmware to flash back to.
Oreo is running great! I didnt even have to use ODIN. (2) Update.zip(s) and a Factory Reset and i am good to go!
*edit*
BQJ1(N) to BQK2(N) Update.zip DOWNLOAD
and then
BQK2 to CQL1(Oreo) Update.zip DOWNLOAD
for T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note8 on BQJ1

Samsung Connect seems to have a bug and Android webview keeps force closing but Oreo Beta seems pretty cool otherwise..

Some Substratum theme options weren't yet working. A few random force closes. Security Log agent messages from some apps. Lag in the notification shade when playing Spotify (so possibly any media). It's not like Oreo is a big upgrade, so I'm not in a rush to get it.

I just got this phone two days ago and have been away from the forums for over 2 years. Root is available for BQJA if I read correctly. Is that right? I just want root for substratum. Downloaded it from the Play Store and it's offering me to buy an add on for "supported Samsung"

You don't need root for Substratum. The $1.99 add-on does work and is probably required.

You can, but only by using the built in "my files" app.. Also go to settings>apps then tap the dots in the top right and tap special access and look at the bottom of the list. Do you see install unknown apps?
I hope they fix the theming issues, half of the icons get the stupid white border/frame. even when you turn off icon frames its stays. its the biggest reason why I switched back. This Beta is really stale this year. I have it on my s8 to and I'm not really impressed
Deleted, nvm. Lol
