Thanks for the heads up!
Flashing now. Been waiting for this to decide whether or not I dump this overheating brick.

Just got prompted for the OTA.

Let's wait for the Devs
Is anyone flashed successfully??? Please post screenshots..
Yay, I just got OTA notification as I woke up. The download size is 1,259.9MBs.
New features in attached photo:
I will post my experience as it's installed.
Just finished downloading the FTF through Flashtool/XperiFirm. Will flash in a moment and report back if noone else beats me to it (most likely someone will )
Ok, early feedback from the AU build
Fingerprint reader is lightning fast, most noticeable change on first boot - Just wow.
Whole phone seems considerably more fluid, a lot less lags and stutters - that said, my MM build was in a bit of a state and had become very slow!
Currently investigating the new stamina options:
"Battery time preferred" slows the whole phone to a crawl. It disables the "big" cores, disables a bunch of features, and reduces display brightness - not pleasant to use at all. A bit TOO heavy handed in my opinion. nb. It seems you need to reboot after changing FROM this mode to reactivate the big cores??
"balanced" mode does introduce a lot of micro stutter throughout the UI, less noticable if you disable animations from the developer menu, but I still wouldn't recommend using this option all the time.
Performance preferred" option seems a good compromise. The battery life estimate jumped up by about 25% compared with disabled, and is barely noticable in general use - I may leave this enabled 24/7 if all is well.
New options in the camera include timer and also the object tracking on Superior Auto, ported from the Xperia X series - a welcome surprise.
Nougat's new notification mechanism is a good improvement, I like that change a lot. There are more interactive options in the notifications themselves, and they can be long pressed to expose further options still, such as removing a notification from lock screen, setting them to "icon only" and other such things.
I'm still not delighted by the heat this thing puts out, on my phone previously on MM I've seen battery temp in the very high 40's when browsing over 4g, and even 52c once playing Pokemon GO.......this is borderline dangerous quite frankly! A geekbench run on Nougat saw me into mid 40s, so looks like no improvement there.
Please anyone do a video review (i wonder if you can still do a screen video) < one example
multi windows i guess replacing miniapps,
i wonder if they remove call recorder (voice machine)
and benchmark test! strees\heat
it will be the last version (if we lucky maybe 7.1)
Awesome!!! No idea when Bulgaria gets it but I am already hyped.
Hi,
replied inline to answer some of your questions - I can't do a proper "review" now as I am at work!
Superrman said:

multi windows i guess replacing miniapps, Multiscreen is alive and well - a bit pointless on our tiny screen mind you. Strangely, small apps is a selectable option in the task switcher screen. It opens a new menu screen which list the small apps. I little clunky, but maintains small apps for those who use them I guess.
i wonder if they remove call recorder (voice machine) - Sorry, not sure what you mean here. I don't recall having any stock call recorder? I use a third party solution and that seems to work ok.
and benchmark test! strees\heat No notable change in my initial fiddling. I expect it may be possible to tune the heat/performance with the new stamina options if you so wish. I'm currently testing the "performance preferred" option of stamina mode, and that doesn't seem to do much (anything?) in terms of CPU throttling. The GPU frequency readout seems broken in floating monitors (nougat issue?) so can't tell what its doing there till tool is updated
it will be the last version (if we lucky maybe 7.1)

Is there much difference between the NOBA and AU releases? I like the idea of no NFC icon which is part of NOBA, wondered if there is anything else I should consider?
Can anyone with the Z5C Nougat post some screens with the new notification bar and Recent apps view (I wonder if the "clear all" button is still there), possibly multitasking in action too? Thanks!
There's now a video at top of the update screen showing new features https://youtu.be/OiZqtQ7HBlc
The download speed I'm getting at the moment, it might take few days to download
Is there a way to get the OTA to download on mobile data? As soon as I turn off Wi-Fi, download is paused. I think it will be faster over LTE data.

Ah, sweet, hadn't noticed that. Definitely looks pretty good. I'm hoping it's not buggy, or at least has mostly negligible bugs.

Not sure multitask is working on our device (I didn't find anything in settings)
Quick thoughts after an hour or so of usage. It feels more smooth. The notifications are nice. The battery seems ok so far, need to use it for a few days i guess.
Split Screen is working fine for me and I havent actually noticed any lag while no battery care functions turned on.
Clear all button is there right up at the top.
Double tap switches between the last two apps quickly.
My Ringtone and Media Volume is stuffed. Can anyone else check that on their device? The volume is loud for a millisecond and then it dies right down to a painfully low level.

Hi. Got a question about OEM bootloader on/off in settings-developer options after update 5.1. If i turn it on it says, warning device protections features will not longer worm if turned on. Does this mean the bootloader is unlocked then or not? Thanks 4the answer ahead ?

Now there is an option to auto reject calls while priority
Or on in don't disturb mode
Sent from my HTC One M9 using XDA Free mobile app
Not official by any means but since day one I've had problems ending calls. I'd take the phone away from my ear and it wouldn't let me press end call or there would be a delay where people would beat me to ending the call. It was a bit embarrassing when you called someone haha! That seems to be completely gone in this update.
Phone seems smoother and it doesn't seem to be running as warm. Will test it with Google Maps navigation later. First impressions are good. Waiting to see how battery life has improved.

Isn't this across the board the 5.1 update for all regions?
Just got it here in Australia
And does anyone know what the unlock bootloader part in Developer options is about?
Sent from my HTC_0PJA10 using Tapatalk
@bmwmane46 @TornadoF6 that allows you to run commands like fastboot OEM unlock, if you leave it unchecked then it is for security and if someone steals your phone they can't bypass your security by rooting or wiping your data from recovery.
One other thing for 5.1 update: power saver is no longer customizable by CPU/data/brightness/vibrate... It is all or nothing. Very disappointing change.
Lots of thanks ? yes i saw the power saver is totally messed up after the update ? u can just on/off it, what a bummer ?

There was also ment to be a drop down menu on the Bluetooth & Wifi quick settings,so you didn't have to right into the settings to pick what wifi or bluetooth device to connect to,bummed about that

slow charging after 5.1 update
just got my 5.1 update from Vodafone au and in the update it would improve the charge time. I would charge my phone in a bout 2 to 2 1/2 hrs and now it's so slow. if anyone has any tips i'd be grateful.
If you are using Encrypted storage (Internal) e.g. for Exchange policies, the HTC boot-up audio has moved. You now hear the boot-up sound immediately after boot-up. You used to hear it after you'd entered your PIN to decrypt internal storage...
MMB.
I beg to differ on the alleged improved charging time. It's no different than before.
There's still an audio glitch where the speakers crack for no apparent reason.
The device still gets ridiculously hot.

Fast charging is now very slow, normal charger is working properly.
has anyone tried the developer bootloader unlock? If i tick that box will i lose the OTA updates in the future?(i know that you do when you unlock the bootloader by giving your imei to htc)
you need to mention these
main highlights for this update:
- Snapdragon 810 v2.1 drivers
- Significantly improved charging behavior
- Significantly improved thermal behavior
- Significantly improved CPU usage, Antutu scoring up to 64k
- Raised GPU max speed to 633mhz (Adreno 430)

Hi all,
I finally updated my H440n via "LG PC Suite" from Android 5.0.1 (rooted) to Android 6 (which is quite nice and very fast in comparison to 5.0.1). Before I did that, I tried to inform me as good and much as possible.
Hence, there are several features/functions I was looking forward to, inter alia:
1) System UI Tuner (activated via long-pressing the Settings-Symbol in the Quick Settings Dropdown) --> Does not work
2) Doze/App Standby (should be in the Battery-Menu under a submenu; via the three dots in the right-up corner) --> The three dots are not there
In the general thread I believe to remember that, with respect to (1), LG was not implementing the System UI Tuner; so one would only find it in an AOSP ROM, correct?
As far as (2) is concerned, I'm a bit "shocked" not finding this option/menu. Besides the App Permission Management (without root) these two features/functions were a main reason in upgrading the firmware. Does anyone know if Doze is active without any "settings"? Regarding App-Standby I believe it is missing, as there is no settings menu, so the user is unable to exclude an app from this Standby; am I right? Or is there any way to activate it (e.g. via the - mainwhile activated - developers menu)? :fingers-crossed:
Thanks for any help. :good:
Kind regards,
Fazi
PS: Meanwhile I, again, use Greenify (as a replacement for App Standby).
Doze is enabled by default on all devices, if I remember correctly. While it might not show any options, It feels like it's definitely there when looking at the battery life. Also, I use Force Doze to send my phone into doze more often / faster than by default.
As far as I can recall, ForceDoze can enable the original MM feature and add some more settings. However, I've read somewhere that the reason why it's disabled is that LG has implemented their version of the doze function natively, like they integrated features of the Tuner to their own ecosystem. Something that basically suspends apps under certain circumstances. And battery management available for many apps unlocks the full potential for that behaviour. Personally, I've tested the ForceDoze and the untampered feature for LG, and LG is noticeably better. If I genuinely use my phone rarely, distributed in large blocks of time, I can extend battery life to up to three days. That tells me that there's definitely something under the hood, and that it works.
Sent from my LG-H440n using Tapatalk
Thanks so far. I hoped that LG implemented it, only without showing any settings/menu.
On the contrary, since I use Android 6, my 1WeatherWidget is not refreshing the "clock" any more. After about half an hour it gets stuck. Just if I open the App via tapping the weather of that widget, the clock refreshes to the current time. The android clock and the alarm are luckily not affected. Could that be a failure of the LG-implemented doze?
In the general App-Menu, under the point "Battery Management" at any app installed so far, there is no settings-possiblity at all. This is why I was wondering, if LG really implemented anything (Doze/App Standby) in their MM ROM.
Besides, both of you didn't mention "App Standby", which would be a bit tricky by LG to implement without offering the user any kind of whitelist, right? :silly:
Thanks for the hint with force doze, which I already read a while ago here on XDA, but interpreted it wrong. I found this feature in Greenify too under "agressive doze". As I already use that app I will give it a try in Greenify in a few days (try to whitelist "1WeatherWidget") and keep you updated.
Thanks again.

I think LG took a different approach.
The screenshot above is from my battery usage app list. AquaMail has a setting to ignore battery optimization, and it works whenever I get an email, no matter the inactivity period. I've only found one other app that gave the option. (No weather app, btw. - if you find one, let me know!)
It seems that the app must provide some concrete setting in order for this doze exception to be functional. I have no idea if this is a Marshmallow thing, an LG quirk, or simply a case of a really good app developer, because the AquaMail development cycle is off the charts.
The option, if it exists, is only accessible from the battery view. The only way I've found to check is if you go to Apps, select an app, and then review its battery usage. Though this doesn't work if the app wasn't used in a while.
On a different note, it might be possible to access this battery menu if it was secreted away by LG. There are several such menus, like one for multi window management, that are actually present in the rom, just not functional on our device. Many can be accessed by some apps like More Shortcuts, that list all the calls of a given app, like Settings. Though it requires much more research...
Well I'll be. This was easier than I'd thought. You need to use a custom shortcut app like More shortcuts, and find the shown activity within the settings.
This is what you get:
WhatsApp and AquaMail were already checked. I presume this is the exclusion list. Checked my weather app in there, hopefully I 'll know by morning.
Sent from my LG-H440n using Tapatalk
Thanks a lot for the guidance. I set system language on German (Austria) and needed some time to find it under "Optimierungen ignorieren" but now I have a shortcut on the homescreen right into that hidden menu. Great man. :good: Also thanks to Alanon for the hint with "More shortcuts" (from now on Ms).
After installing Ms, my wheater app 1weather suddenly was on that whitelist. But I remember that there was no option before installing Ms. Also after unticking the checkbox and deinstalling Ms, I could not see the "menu point" in the app viewer (or under the battery statistics) again. So it seems for me that Ms is a nice assistance for battery saving (and whitelisting) reasons.
I will know check, if the clock of 1weather (and besides: also of some other weather widgets except AccuWeather) keep in time. I will report soon.
Thank you so ****ing much Alanon! I thought that activity was still there (I have a LG X Power, and LG has also hidden that option at Battery Settings), I just needed to find some way to launch it. I've searched and used the ****ty app Activity Launcher but it hadn't showen me that activity, but now it worked like a charm with More Shorcuts. Thank you!
Anyone trying it?
Beta 1 also known as DP2.
https://www.google.com/android/beta
Taking the plunge right now. I'll report later.
anyone else try it yet? I am assuming it is daily driver ready like N beta was
I am also waiting to see what people are reporting, hoping it's stable. Since I am on a custom rom it's a bit of a pain to load, don't see factory images yet.
I was thinking about trying this Android O beta out. I have a Verizon Pixel running stock (the bootloader is unlocked though). Should I have any issues?
Also, I know if I opt out of the beta, I'll lose all user data but will I lose user data when opting in and upgrading the Android O?

Unlocked bootloader is not a problem, in fact its better to have the option if anything goes wrong.
If you switch to official O when it's out no wipe required. Only if you want to go back to N.
I too am waiting for reports before i put it on my daily. i will be throwing it onto my nexus 6p tonight thought to try it out. if i dont see any bugs that are too bad... i may throw it on the pixel
Really eager to hear about battery life impact here if anyone can provide feedback.
Can anyone give some basic info about stability? I'd love to jump on with my Daily Driver, just if it isn't ready for it, I'll wait. Thanks in advance!

It's a nice beta so far. One thing noticed is double tap to check turn on the black screen but tapping the screen or notification icons won't do nothing and theme option won't switch to Pixel theme, even selecting it. Notification dots is a very good implementation for handling notification in a easily way. Ending my words, another great thing is that now night light have a intensity slider.
Any one has magisk or any root method working on this
Tried to update from latest Android N, didn't boot up, got a data corrupted message during install...
Can I now flash the Android O Factory Image without -w to get it running?
and most people in that tweeter feed can't get it to go either. every time i longpress home it launches assistant. and the setting to allow pip for youtube chrome and google play services are on by default.

Cheers. I'll try to be specific. I have absolute minimum experience in this kinda stuff. Just today my tablet received an update which I readily installed only to regret it later (I liked One UI 2.5 better), and so I went to search for info on how I can downgrade it. The guide I came across first and which I used was this one. Older firmware version was downloaded off of sammobile, here's the link to the specific version. Now, one thing I wasn't completely sure about was CSC. I bought this tablet from a guy who used it as a temporary TV replacement, and I'm almost sure it was initially purchased here in Ukraine, too, but there's still a slight possibility that the CSC was different.
Anyways, in the archive with the firmware I found 4 files: AP, BL, CSC and HOME_CSC. Using Odin3 v3.13.3 and the three files (AP, BL and HOME_CSC) I attempted to downgrade the device. It all went well, no errors during the process, but the tablet won't boot now. Here's the screen that I'm getting:

I still can get it into Download Mode tho. Later I tried to do the exact same thing, but with disabled Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time options, but it didn't do much.
What can I do at this point to bring it back into a working state? I don't have all that much data on it as I've got it relatively recently, but there's still some stuff, so if possible I'd rather not reset it completely unless absolutely necessary. Any help is highly appreciated!
Quick update. I attempted flashing it with a differens region firmware, still no luck. Tried to reboot to bootloader, but it's getting stuck on "Entering fastboot..."
Flashed it again, but with the recent update downloaded with Frija. It did boot alright with all of my data still there, so at this point the problem is in finding a working way to downgrade it without running into the same issue again. Any recommendations?
Sorry I can't help. When you are out of emergency mode, please tell us what is wrong with the current update to UI 3.0 and Android 11. I received the update notification, but haven't updated yet. I'm always suspicious of major version upgrades without any minor number. The Samsung blurb is here: https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-P610/XSA/doc.html
There are many cosmetical changes that I don't approve of:
- App drawer now has a light gray blurred background while 2.5 only blurred the wallpapers and made them a little darker. Same applies to the menu that you drag down from above
- Notification and settings boxes corners have became more rounded
- 2.5 music player had no background and only added buttons on top of the locked screen on the side, which made it look very slick. New music player now looks like a notification box and is positioned in the middle
- Unlock screen now has 2 additional arrows and a lock icon at the top as opposed to 2.5 look where there only were 9 dots to draw the pattern on
- Volume change is now displayed to the right side and looks like a termometer bar filling from bottom to top instead of a blue slider that was popping up from above
All of these visual changes were completely unnecessary and no user was given a choice in case they preferred old looks to new one. Also, despite permormance improvement being noted, I personally have noticed none as, honestly speaking, my device already was working fast enough.
Here are some picks that show what changed in my case:
Unlock screen
App drawer/upper menu background change
Music player change

Thanks for your answer. Any functiona issue ? Did anything stop working ? The cosmetic issues you mentioned don't quite affect me, except the round corners. If Samsung releases a minor version update above basic Android 11 UI3 then I will apply the update.

Flashed it again, but with the recent update downloaded with Frija. It did boot alright with all of my data still there, so at this point the problem is in finding a working way to downgrade it without running into the same issue again. Any recommendations?

When you downgrade to an earlier android version, you have to factory reset. That's what I normally do to get it to boot, which I also did in this case. This first iteration is garbage. Scrolling lag, crap dolby atmos and a couple of older apps not displaying properly. Same thing with my s9 when upgraded to android 10.
My advice is not to upgrade to a newer android version for a couple of months until samsung gets it right.
There's quite a big new update for the Reno 10x Zoom available - CPH1919_11_F.42.
Just got it today in UK.
Changelog
System
- Reduces Power Consumption to extend battery life in certain scenarios
- Improves systems stability and smoothness.
- Fixes an issue where your phone would crash when you turn on airplane mode in certain scenarios.
- Fixes an issue where your phone would occasionally have no signal.
- Fixes an issue where the Clock and Search bar widgets would disappear in certain circumstances.
Camera
- Improves photo clarity in HDR and AI modes.
- Fixes a stuttering issue that would occur when you record the screen in SLO-MO mode.
- Fixes an issue where launching the camera for the first time would be slow.
- Fixes an issue where sometimes the watermark would not be displayed when you record the screen in Ultra Steady mode.
Input Method
- To protect your privacy and ensure your security, Touchpal Keyboard is no longer available due to some compatibility issues with Android 11. You can use Gboard, which comes with your phone. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Security
- Adds the June 2021 security patches to enhance system security.
it seems the AOD function is broken with this update, now the clock won't update with real time nor the notification icons.
The temperorary solution is to use power saving mode which will dim the AOD display unless you hold/move the phone, then the time/icons will update again.
I can't find it with VPN UK

Well, i got my update a few minutes later. Update seems stable. Yet to verify the update log claims
BEWARE!
The newest update brings this bloatware along with it. Good to know that it can be Uninstalled.
Isn't there a way to download this update manually? Because it doesn't show up for me and I desperately need Android 11...
I downloaded android 11 with VPN France but it is version 41. I can't find this latest version 42 anywhere.
That's a pity, but still: lucky you! I'm stuck on ColorOS 7.1 / Android 10, CPH1919EX_11_C.35.
It keeps saying that version is up to date, no matter what region my phone is in and whatever VPN country I try.
C.35? Never heard. I had C.34 and found android 11 with VPN France

this update is for devices already on Android 11. It is better to wait for your country's OPPO team to launch update as per your region. Your device will automatically show you when available. I recommend to be patient.
