Hi I was wondering if there a theme out there that changes the color of the time, battery and signal bars to a different color? I know this can be done with a custom Rom but not looking to root my new v20 just yet. Its only a week old waiting for the return period to end in case there a problem with the phone hardware dont want to void my warranty because my phone is rooted. I dont think there is a way yet to return to stock Rom or to unroot once rooted. But if anyone has any info on how this could be dome with out root I would aprriciate it. I'm look to change the clock 4g/LTE battery icon and signal bars to a blue maybe a baby blue. Any knowledge or info would be great I'm on the tmobile v20 the H918.
Thanks guys and girls

Due to LG's set up of the theme engine, the status bar and navigation bar are (at least currently) untouchable by the themes... This may be possible down the road... But at the moment no.

NoLed from the market is your best bet. Not too great and won't light up your softkeys. The only way to light them up is a kernel that supports BLN.

Root and use stock room with bln kernel

You could also use BLN control app. That's another alternative.
he said he doesnt wanna root it, why anyone wouldnt is beyond me.
Bln works best but u need root and kernel. For me noled killed my battery
And sir you own a nexus s and its your duty to root that thing

+1 just like OP's quote.. more like
" Once you have tasted root, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return "

This.
I just rooted like 15 minutes ago. Running Mikeyinid's rom with matr1x kernel and I am stoked.
OP, don't waste time like I did. It is easy and people will help you with any trouble you have, don't hesitate. Bln is worth root alone, lol. But, voodoo and overclock capabilities to boot can't be beat.

i dnt wanna root it immediately cuz i screwed my milestone by overclocking n constantly changing roms tryin different options ..
ill root it once m bored of the usual .. m very moody i may just root tomm also i dnt knw ..
nice change of my quote by the way .. very nice ..
thnx for the input on noled .. good u told me before only tht it drains battery .. thnx
one thing i dint like is the volume of the speaker .. coming from motorola with extra loud speakers this makes me feel m deaf .. n vibration sux as well .. but wht the heck i can live with it
I have been using no led and love it and my battery life is great. I set it to stop blinking after 5 minutes and that saves a ton of battery life. If I have been away from my phone for longer than 5 minutes I always check it anyways...of course I'm hardly ever away from it that long...I Love her...
use NoLed......i do!

I have a Telus g900w8. I have rooted installed recovery (twrp)and am running omega 2.0 love the rom love the phone but I no longer have 4G or lte symbols. I have 'H' and 'H+' instead.
I have been searching for the better part of a day for a way to get the symbols to change. All of my efforts have been fruitless so far. I am sure there is a way I can remember reading how to do it somewhere but can't for the life of me find the thread or post again. If anyone had any info can you please kindly point me in the right direction. Thanks for your time and help in advance.

Thanks Goldie I have your thread for alliance subscribed haha I actually had alliance flashed for a few days but have been playing with all the cool different rom's to many choices haha.
I am pretty newbish so it is still a nail biting experience any time I flash anything hoping I don't make a very expensive paper weight. Also I haven't taken the plunge into editing script so my internal sd doesn't wipe. So I finally got my phone set up and don't want to start all over again.
Thanks for all your hard work though. That goes for all the devs for all the rom's omega alliance phoenix you guys are awesome

okay so im going to start from scratch, my s4 has randomly started giving me no sound, ive had it tested and all my components are good so it has to be software.
i have flashed multiple roms, modems and wifi fix
but im willing to give anything a go just let me know!
beginning to really stress me out! i have included a pic of my current setup, cheers and thanks for the help!
does no one have a clue on this?
i was thinking maybe wait for the lollipop update and it may sort itself out?
or flash another stock rom and gsm modem only?
i have already triggered knox so not really worried about the method, anything would be of great help!

Im not sure what's goin on . It might be a Hardware issue? Try pulling the battery out / factory reset/ wipe data in recovery . If its still.doing the same issue . Wait And Let see what firmware @Joku1981 will give you . It might fix this problem . Anyways Goodnite for now .
Yes sorry to disturb you, I've had my device tested it's been going on that long it all came back okay :/ thanks a lot it's definitely improved!

factory reset no luck, cache wipe no luck, battery pull no luck, i was thinking try flash a stock rom? have a feeling ive got a few duff ones, any recomendations?
Whether it helps or not apart from no sound, videos play in slow motion, battery when unplugged from fully charge drops to around 80% and sometimes when the phone is booted it boots with no signal and a black top bar, before restarting again normally

Hi, when I'm trying to multitask on my i9505 it turns itself off and goes into bootloop, and will only turn on properly if I have it plugged in.. When it does not it will show only 1 or 2% off battery left even if it was almost full before random reboot occurred.. In using custom Rom slim l.p.. I'd it likely to be a battery problem or rom problem given my troubles above? Just purchased a new battery in any case but I'd like to move back to official sammy software in any case...do I need to do this via odin?I don't mind about root any longer, I don't use apps that require this anyway
I'd also appreciate help finding new sammy firmware, I can barely keep my phone on long enough to search for it!

There was a spot in my work building where text messages would get a -1 not sent error. With the m radio it works every time.
Flashed it last night. And it works better in my house than before.

Agreed. Same experience here, in low reception area in a box canyon in Oregon. Had 0 bars of service in house with VZW 5.1 radio; flashed M radio, and have 0.5-1 bars of 3G/LTE service now.
Keep those radio optimizations coming, Motorola!
So you guys are running 5.1.1 but with the M preview radios? I just got my N6 a week ago and the signal and battery life are terrible compared to my G3. Looking for solutions before giving up and sending this back to Motorola.

Thanks for the info. I'll give it a try tonight and see how things are this weekend. As of right now I'm planning to return this and go back to my G3. I guess I'm hoping for a reason to keep this, as I love having a Nexus again.

Different question... is there a way to backup JUST the current radio before flashing this, the same way you can with a kernel?
How did you guys get the m radio to work.. I tried flashing the one from that link and it said unknown under my baseband and had no service... I had to go back to 98
I'm on Verizon and flashed that m radio zip
I'm on the m bootloader as well. I tried the preview and skipped the bootloader and radio flash when I went bact to chroma. HD calling works fine as well

I am running the M preview and I find that the radio works a lot better than the 5.1 radio
I flashed the M radio earlier today and so far I see a marked improvement. I'm no longer randomly losing my signal completely while at home. I also flashed a custom kernel and tweaked the color settings, so my screen looks much better as well. Let's hope my battery life improves as well. The need to charge in the middle of the day is quite annoying.

I downloaded Lean Kernel then an app to tweak the settings called Kernel Adiutor (the unusual spelling is on purpose). But any kernel adjusting app of your choice should work. Then I followed the info found in this post.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59092146&postcount=3017
The screen's overly warm tones are cooler now. Plus the app I used has a high brightness mode that boosts the level up a bit, which is handy in bright sunlight.
