Hi,
So I had a rooted Galaxy S7 Edge 32gb model on att, I wanted to get rid of root so I could go back to stock firmware. I attempted to do so by going and getting rid of root in the SuperSu app. Once it was uninstalled, I went into download mode, and attempted to use odin to put the stock att firmware back onto my device. I kept getting failure and rechecking what I did, and it looks right and I am really confuse. Thanks for your understanding and I hope you all can help me with my issue. Thank you.
Maybe you should use a pit file and check repartition. You have to use a pit file specific to your firmware

Are you using a firmware from your region? If not, that could be it.

Yea, I read the above link a ba-jillion times over and over until I understood what was going on and flashed it successfully the first time. I got lucky but try following the instructions in the link provided above and good luck!

It absolutely has nothing to do with the firmware being for some other region. It could be for Mordor region, and it should still install without issues.

Not true, at least from my experience. I tried to flash firmware from the UK on my note from India and it failed. Maybe I should try the Mordor firmware...

All updates are at Sammobile.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
Once you root but keep stock, you should check there once a month or so, see if there is a new ROM for your carrier, and install via Odin. You simply type in your exact model number, and it will list them all.

Hello. I'm kinda stuck here and I would appreciate if you all could help me. I've been trying to retrieve the same firmware I have for my Galaxy S7 Edge (SM-G935FD) but I am unable to. Here is an album of pictures filled with errors I got and my device information.
The Phone Info application says that my device is SM-G935F while Android says it's SM-G935FD so I'm not really sure which one I should use. I've tried both SM-G935F and SM-G935FD and the results were similar. For Auto (SM-G935F), I got this error message:
'', hexadecimal value 0x1F, is an invalid character. Line 1, position 1.
while for Manual (SM-G935F), I got the same error message as SM-G935FD Manual mode.
Again thanks for the help. Feel free to ask me any questions.

Samsung doesn't upload full firmware for G935FD on their server so you can't download them using this tool.
You can find apd1 firmware for FD on samsungviet. It's for THL but it's same multi-csc for SIN

Thanks for pointing that out. It works now. However the "Version" info is different than the PDA, CSC and Phone info I've put in. It's G935FXXU1APDQ/G935FOLB1APD1/G935FXXU1APD1/G935FXXU1APDQ. Not a 100% sure but I think that's a different firmware.

It's much better to just wait. At least then you know it's a legit firmware and you won't be bricking your device :good:
For those that need the Odin files and don't want to wait on sammobile's slow download speeds.

Quick question. I have a galaxy s7 sm-g930t1 which is the galaxy s7 with metro-pcs. Will this work on this model. It has snapdragon which has a locked bootloader that makes sure its signed. I would assume it would work as long as I also flash the bootloader with this version but I want to be sure.
I ended up just giving it a try and it worked. Thank you!
I'm getting the "sha256 is invalid" error when trying to flash this - I'm using the AT&T Nougat version and want to get my wifi-calling back. Any reason why this may be happening?
odin version
what odin version is recommended to use?

Yeah it does. The only file I didn't use in Odin was the CSC. I then just went Settings/Mobile Networks/Access Point Names and added my own MetroPCS access point and deleted the rest. Here is my settings and it works great.

No it will not work, this is for Qualcomm variants of the s7 and dpes not support dual sims. It will brick your device

What do you do with the Home_CSC file? I haven't seen this before. Thanks.
Can I flash this to the unlocked US VERSION? I never thought I'd say this but the tmobile version gets updates faster than the unlocked version.
I am receiving an error while i flash it. The error message was along the lines of invalid ext4 and incorrect volume size.

HOME CSC keeps your data, CSC wipes the device, do note that you can only use the HOME CSC if you are are coming from a T-Mobile based firmware
