Yea, I read the above link a ba-jillion times over and over until I understood what was going on and flashed it successfully the first time. I got lucky but try following the instructions in the link provided above and good luck!

It absolutely has nothing to do with the firmware being for some other region. It could be for Mordor region, and it should still install without issues.

Not true, at least from my experience. I tried to flash firmware from the UK on my note from India and it failed. Maybe I should try the Mordor firmware...

Hey guys. I am in that other download mode with the exclamation and cell and pc image. Is there anyway I can get out from there. I tried searching for the stock firmaware and all but I can not find any.
I have the AT&T versions.
Thanks in Advance.

It said that this is still a download mode and you can use Odin
So either grab GB Stock Safe from teamovercome site or go to samfirmwares to get a firmware for your device and use Odin to flash it.

Try restock again.
It is straight forward Odin. Are you stuck at restock?

Update zip for latest XXAME1 modem.bin (i8190 XX region only)
If you want latest modem without changing rom.
Works fine on stock rom and CM10.1
Flash with your custom recovery.
GT-I8190_modem.bin-XXAME1-update.zip
Also added DXAMB1 (i8190 DX region only)
GT-I8190_modem.bin-DXAMB1-update.zip
Thanks to enox.co for updater script.
Should be noted this not for the N or L series. I found that out hard way :banghead: lol

Did the same with enox ROM. Had phone for 4 hours and went straight to softbrick  You can see my signature, that's from softbricking SGS more than once.
Oh, the perils of being flash junkie
I've got some network issues with my S3 mini. From time to time it disconnects itself from the network - no mobile internet, no incomming/outgoing calls, no nothing. Signal indicator is full, but the phone works only after restart or airplane mode on and off. There's a thread about this issue: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2057285&page=5).
I run stock ROM, no root, no customizations. I'm wonreding can I install this radio on it and may it resolve my problem?
My current firmware details:
AP: XXAMD3 ; CP XXAMD3, CSC: OOXFAMD1

Yes it should be fine to flash but I can't say if your problem will be fixed.
You need root to flash this and I think your PDA, PHONE and CSC won't match correctly anymore, for kies or ota to give you updates.
You can still update manually with odin tho, when new fw for your country arrives.

When you ran Odin did you 'run as administrator'?
Also re-download the file you were trying to flash and check the MD5sum. Then try again
Your using the wrong file ....you need mdc or mf9 file....and your using mga wich is not for the sprint version
Yeah didnt caught that damn. You could totally brick your phone with that file.

So to confirm, you're NOT using a Sprint SPH-L720 but instead an international I9505, correct?
And are you using the most current version of the stock tar or same that you last had on there?

[Q] Help Please, stuck in odin mode and "software not recognized by AT&T "
So I got a new phone and I thought that this would be a great opportunity to learn how to do things on my own with my phones, Lucky me my new phone (Nexus 5) is way easier to root and do the fun stuff... but not my Galaxy S4
trying to odin back to stock I got stuck in Download mode and later i got a msg saying "Software not recognized by AT&T was found in your device" and on the top line in red said "Secure Fail: Kernel"
How can I flash the kernel and the new recovery ?
remember I am a Noob trying to learn, so go easy on me
What file were you trying to flash with odin? Do you have a link? Also, what firmware version was your phone on? The version you're trying to flash in Odin had to be at least as new as what your phone was on.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
The boot loader is locked. This means that the stock recovery and kernel cannot be replaced. Also, you cannot Odin flash firmware that contains a boot loader with a lower version than the one you are currently running.
