Post makes no real sense .
Are you using the same TWRP.
Is their any data to restore and what do you mean by data.
Are you restoring data only not system ??
You flashed a stock rom via odin .
Install TWRP recovery via odin .
Then backup data >>>but you have no data to backup at this point .

Could not mount data and sdcard partition [solution]

Hi, I am new on android world, and dont know if i did crap with my phone:
I had FoxHound rom with Adam Kernel and CWM. So, I decided to flash the "4.3" google version. Until there, its ok.
But, i downloaded a version of pre-rooted 4.2.2 google version, and wanted to flash it. And i had the stupid idea of formating ALL things on CWM Mount and Storage menu.
Then, my phone didnt started on custom recovery... so, i flashed Philz Touch. The phone now start on custom recovery, but i flashed 2 different roms, and it no boot... well, he boots, but keep on bootscreen and dont pass. What can i do, please? (Sorry for the english...)

Same thing happened to me. I can't fix it.
I tried this: (1) Odin TWRP, (2) boot recovery, (3) wipe data, (4) factory reset, (5) install rom
After this I can boot up but if I reboot it gets stuck at logo unless I redo these steps

I think we need the pit file to rebuild partition table. But I can not find it. Anyone have a link?
I have the T-Mobile S4 and I have the stock firmware (pda) but no (pit)

I just tried this and it worked. You have to find stock firmware for your device
(1) Put into download mode then Odin stock firmware (uncheck everything)
(2) Unplug USB cable & pull battery
(3) Boot into Samsung recovery
(4) Factory Reset & wipe data
Before I tried to factory reset with TWRP or CWM and it didn't work. Try to factory reset with Samsung recovery instead

Ooooohhhhhh yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah man! It worked. It seems that Samsung Kernel get a clean format of the broken partition, and the others kernels dont do it.
Thank you.

no, it will not, cuz all that is suppose to be in the backup you made before, just clean the system before restoring, wipe data, system, cache and dalvik, then try restoring your backup and wait at least 10 minutes, and report back, good luck cheers:fingers-crossed:

bro if there's nothing else then you will have to flash a stock rom thru Odin, and it will wipe your phone completely, but at least you will be able to boot your phone again, report back, good luck, cheers:fingers-crossed:
can't i flash it the stockrom trough odin and then just restore the data ?

You upgrade your device to 5.0, so kitkat4.4 cwm backup didn't work 4 u bcuz ur baseband version changed with lollipop upgrade & cwm recovery is unable to backup baseband/modem.
U have to downgrade ur firmware to kitkat4.4 & then cwm backup will work.
how do i do that is it enough to just re-flash via odin will it reset to the correct modem and stuff?

Yes,after flashing correct stock firmware ( full Odin package like xxx.tar.md5) with Odin ur device become brand new: official.
U have to root it again & again install cwm recovery.
For flashing stock firmware Tutorial, search on Google.

do you know if there is a backup app that backs up all like baseband and such so i can downgrade with simple backups?
Hi, in order to restore your Android kitkat backup you need to downgrade from lollipop. In order to do that you have to flash a stock ROM (from sammobile). If your device is not locked for your service provider then it shouldn't really matter which region's ROM you flash. Then flash cwm recovery to restore your backup. If after flashing the stock ROM you enter a boot loop (and maybe not allowing you to enter download mode to flash cwm) try entering recovery mode (Power + Home + Volume Up) and factory reset your phone through the stock recovery. This should restart your phone without causing a loop. After that just flash cwm back and restore your stock backup.
Hope this helps and let me know if you need anything else.

TM-535 Stocks on Samsung Logo / Loading Apps after Boot / Important DATA / TWRP Insta

Hi there, i've got a big problem. I flashed recently my sisters school tab with custom recovery (TWRP) to delete the forgotten password, worked well. But afterwards, the school write her an email, that the tab is rooted (Was not rooted, but SU App appears) so i decided to flash the stock recovery back. This also works well on first boot but after cleaning cache, its stocks on Samsung logo. Now i flashed TWRP back and cleaned dalvik cache/cache, on first boot is passes the samsung logo and Andriod os loading apps appears and stucks (i let it run over the night.). So how can i fix this without any data lose, app lose? I cant do a factory reset because of her school config...I dont know which android version is installed.

No . Ordinary stock firmware without wipe not erase data . It update system files , not data . This called dirty installation . But maybe some bugs with installed apps .
---------- Post added at 11:46 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:41 AM ----------
You need to do copy your internal memory to PC and to do reflash firmware with all wipes

what is the problem? help me. plz

So this just happened...

So I have been running Pure Nexus rom with Elemental X kernel and SuperSU and it's been working just fine. Well I made a nandroid, and flashed a couple new roms to try out. Didn't like any of them better so I decided to restore back to my nandroid. I used TWRP 3.0.2-2 to make the nandroid and when I tried to restore using same version it just constantly bootloops between the Google splash screen and the"Your device software cannot be checked etc etc screen". I did update my radio and bootloader to the newest versions via a flashable zip and also updated my vendor to the latest vendor image N4F26J. One of the roms said my vendor image was out of date or whatever but still booted fine for me to try out. Regardless I have factory reset phone including internal storage and flashed the factory OTA image and still no luck. Odd thing is I can still boot TWRP and also access my internal storage and move files from PC to my phone. It will even flash Roms and everything but it will not get past the Google splash screen. So wth do I do lol?

Maybe stupid answer : 1 did you flashed boot.img ?
2. Is your data partition anything like ex4 or f2fs ?
Will it stuck on google logo ? (I had stucl for 10 min once ) or it just bootloops
Why not try to flash 3.0.3.0 recovery and try again?

Did you try to flash the OTA image or full factory image? I think there is a known problem with the latest build of Pure nexus where some people can't boot past the Google logo. If that's your issue there are workarounds. You should check the Pure nexus thread.
Try a full wipe(without internal) and restore your nandroid without the data partition and let me know how it went.
If your nandroid contained the efs backup (3.0.2-2 backs it up by default) and you restored your backup with the efs partition your borked since you used TWRP 3.0.2-2. That TWRP has a bug restoring EFS as there is efs.1 and efs.2 and I think it writes both efs 1 and 2 to just efs.1 on the phone which causes the boot loop.
You need to have had an EFS backup and then roll back your twrp to 3.0.0-0 and restore your EFS back from there.

Ok I am gonna try and revert to 3.0.0 and restore the EFS and then the backup. Would that be the correct resolution?
Ok so I fixed it!!!!! Btw thank you guys for all your responses!!!
Even though my version of TWRP was 3.0.2-2 this still worked for me following these commands. I randomly found this page and said what the hell I have nothing to lose so I did it and it freakin' worked! anyways here's the link in case anyone else has this issue of not booting past google splash screen

Again thanks to those who responded and tried to help!
