not sure where else to put this, but since there's no Xposed for Nougat one of the issues I've had is forcing a certain application in portrait mode. the application in question is Human Japanese and it only opens up in landscape no more what orientation you have set. With Xposed I was able to force it, but now I'm at a loss if there's an alternate way to do this. I do have root so it should be somewhat possible. any suggestions?
Try Ultimate Rotation Control, it forces the orientation of the screen for every app.

i wanna use my phone in landscape mode. however, it's a big hassle when the keyboard (or camera) always puts the device back in portrait when i close it. it switches the screen back to portrait when i close it, even though the screen was in landscape prior to opening the keyboard and closing it (or opening the camera app)
i don't think it's a regular setting thing. it may require some registry tweaking or an external little app to stop this behavior.
can anyone help? it's very annoying!
Is there any app to force other apps that you have running to landscape mode? I tried Gyrator, but when it goes to running the emu it forces its way back to portrait and stays that way. Or could I try a registry hack to force it to landscape?
I use G-Config v1

ChangeScreen is what I use. I find it reliable and easy to configure. Just make sure to make your "Exceptions" (ie. if you don't want one app to rotate, add it to the exceptions list so it stays still). You can configure which ways you want things to rotate (left, right, and/or upside-down).
Gyrator 2 or G-sensor can do the job

Both Gyrator and changeScreen wouldn't work. Whenever I turn it around, the emulator screen would go straight back to portrait mode after the emulator started. I tried putting an exception in ChangeScreen that forced it to always be in landscape, but it still didn't work after the emulator started up. Oh well. Guess I'll just live with it.
Use this it's a perfect solution

You can also do it from QuickMenu 2.8 (options QuickMenu->Screen->Rotate left, right, etc)
Is there a way to change the landscape orientation of the kindle (using CM7) for full screen apps? More specifically, I have several games that are played in a landscape orientation, but they do not rotate if you turn the device upside down. The design of my case has a sort of stand, but the way its stands up is the opposite direction than most apps seem to default to. Is there a way to change the default landscape orientation?

I've tried doing the same thing and can not find a way to do it. I did try disabling the 90 degree rotation but the games still play in the default landscape mode.
solved my own problem! check out this app here get your device in the orientation you want, and then lock it. it will keep that orientation when you go into apps. however, its not pretty and the simple ui isn't perfect. I'm thinking this would work better...but it costs money...so we'll see. this works for now though
Here is the situation. I often use my phone in a lanscape cradle on my motorcycle. It is really annoying that my apps are in landscape but when you need to get in setting or main page, you have everything on the side. You will very kind to help in suggesting an easy setting or new launcher/ui of whatever will work troublefree.
Use this app. It can lock any orientation. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nl.fameit.rotate

I have an Carlingkit Tbox Plus. I am looking for a way to rotate specifik apps. (from landscape to portrait).
I have tried a couple of apps from the Google Play store, but without success. They work on my phone, but not on the box.
I wabt to rotate the TIDAL app from landscape to portrait, because there is no navigation panel in landscape mode.
Kind regards
The solution is to use Tidal in split screen. When you do that it uses portrait mode and the apps navigation panel is visible.
You might need to activate split screen in developer mode.

It says tidal isn't supported for split-screen whenever I attempt this, did you encounter the same issue and found a workaround?
any solution?
