Cant do anything in download mode! - Galaxy S6 Edge+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I can get the US Cellular S6 edge + to turn on but it stays on title screen or will only go to download mode. I've tried everything to restore through ODIN but it fails everytime. Ive tried all official files I can find but nothing is working. Please help me get this working!

I just want to know does your model have twrp
Sent from my SM-N930F using Tapatalk

I had it but it was replaced with the original menu. If you can link me to the twrp install and files I can proceed from there

Just deselect auto reboot odin
Sent from my SM-N930F using Tapatalk

I installed twrp i will retry without auto reboot and report back

Pls do remember that after pass comes on Odin press volume home and down button
Then download mode will open
Press down to cancel restart and immediately press volume home and up button and reboot into twrp

Should I use odin with twrp open or move the rom file and try to install through twrp? Odin keeps hanging when I try to install the os in odin....

Before trying to help with this, can you tell me if you were on MM 6.0 or LP 5.1?
And the version number for Odin that you are using also?
You may be having a conflict between the Odin version number, and the last Modem filed installed on your phone, in which case you need to have the absolute correct version of Odin for the package, otherwise itll fail at "NAND WRITE START!" Forever.
The Odin versions are V3.10=Lollipop & V3.11=Marshmallow. I'm really hoping that's the issue man that's an easy fix and otherwise the only thing i could suggest is
Go to TWRP>Settings, and hit the "Fix Contexts" button.
Extract the stock firmware with 7z or whatever.
Take the recovery.img file, place it onto your device,
Hit Install and change from viewing zip only to img flashables with button @ bottom,
Flash your recovery.img to the recovery area with TWRP,
Reboot first into the recovery mode, do a factory reset with it ( this should return it to the stock binary platform),
If all this pans out so far bro go ahead and try download mode and ODIN stock firmware again.
If you hit a bump let me know I'll try to help, hopefully its the easy fix though lol.

Recovery mode

Guys a little help pls.
Using sm900 f version with BNL7 lollipop update. i v been trying to install CWM or TWRP recovery mode whole day but i cant get it up.
Every time i do it and reboot phone into recovery i get stock recovery mode.
Help pls.
thanks
I suppose you are flashing with ODIN, right?
In such case, uncheck the auto reboot option while flashing your preferred recovery, then flash it, and finally force the phone into recovery mode
Enviado desde mi SM-G900F
Yep i havent unchecked the auto reboot.
Thanx a lot. Gonna give it a try when i come home.
Thanx again
well still cant do it. its the same again. stock recovery.

Please could you detail describe how you used that .zip file on ODIN, I cant even select it as it is a file .zip to be used under custom recovery flashing not under Odin but me too I cant get our of stock recovery as Odin Fails to flash and soft bricks the phone every time...
Could you send me the odin version used or steps made please.
@soulless angel
Sure gonna do it when i come home.
Meanwhile u can download cwm 6.0.4.7 and use odin 3.09.
Untick autoreboot , flash it, pull out battery then force it in download mode with menu + volume up + power. I managed like that cuz i m more used to cwm.

SM-G900F Root Help

hello guys, i have a Samsung galaxy S5 (SM-G900F)
i installed the latest OTA updates, but today i tried to root my device with CF-auto root file, odin did successfully but the phone didn't restart,it keep saying
recovery rooting,
recovery is not standadid enforcing or something like that
set warranty bit : recovery
it keep saying for like 10min but nothing showed up,then i flashed phiztouch recovery file, then the device reboot successfully but after i went to the recovery mode, there is no phiztouch recovery, its the stock recovery
can anyone help me to root the device n to install a phiztouch recovery
CF Auto Root should have worked, I'd try that again
Make sure you use the G900F version
Run ODIN as Admin
Only have F.Reset Time and Auto Reboot ticked in ODIN
Obviously phone in download mode
--
Other alternatives are to flash TWRP with ODIN, then SuperSU from TWRP

Are you using a native PC to flash with ODIN?
Got the Samsung drivers installed?
Mine is the G900F and CF auto root works fine with all firmwares to date, wonder if your bootloader is locked?

Same problem here
Odin 3 V1.85 does everthing correctly, then phone boots correctly, but when I go to recovery, still stock:crying:
Could it be that it has something to do with lollipop 5.0?
Please advice
So long as your bootloader is unlocked, CF Auto Root works fine with the G900F and all Android versions up to the latest

Yes I did.
This is what I did step by step:
I have odin 3V1.85 installed on my pc and from there I followed all instructions
I put following file in PDA. philz_touch_6.26.6-klte.tar.md5
After that phone rebooted succesfully. But when I want to enter recovery it gives me a warning sign and it enters stock recovery
Android system recovery <3e>
LRX21T.G900FXXU1BNL9
I have flashed alot of roms with my previous phone but this is new for me.
So again appolize for all the "stupid"questions!
I hope someone knows the solution.
Hmm odd, i had the exact same problem when rooting about 3 days ago, now it works but i can't for the life of me figure out how i managed to get it to work. Ill get back to you.

Ok guys, try this.
1. Download philz kernel that matches your modem number. I think philz_touch_6.26.6-klte.tar.md5 works good.
2. Put it in ODIN on PDA/AP
3. Uncheck "Auto Reboot" and make sure Re-Partition is NOT CHECKED (keep F. Reset time)
4. Flash
5. It will say RESET on Odin and nothing further when it is done so just wait 2-3 minutes when RESET appears to be entirely sure that the procedure is done.
6. Pull out phones battery.
7. Put it back in and now go into Recovery directly (Vol up+home+power)
8. ???
9. Profit
Hopefully this might work, i think i did the same

Need Someone to walk me through some problem immediately

I was running on dark aurora rom and i tried to use flashify to download twrp so i can flash CM12.1 with it (Since cmw didnt work for some reason) and when i opened twrp it says that my phone has no OS and it cant read my backups or my files (including the cm12.1 zip file) and right know when i try to power up the phone it opens up twrp and i dont know what to do
Tried flashing stock firmware with odin and i cant boot into the system just stuck at samsung logo
Does it read an SD card? If so, try flashing a rom through TWRP. Else, try a PIT flash through Odin.

Did you flashed twrp on Ur device?
for install cfautoroot you must install twrp.tar on your PC (download from here https://dl.twrp.me/klte/twrp-3.0.2-2-klte.img.tar). then you must flash it via odin.
to flash it make sure you installed your device drivers on PC and enabled USB debugging in developer options.
then boot your phone in downloading mode by pressing power+home+volume down button. then connect your phone to the PC. open odin app and choose the recovery.tar you install from the link i gave you. flash it and wait until finish(maybe 2 or 3 min) and then reboot your device to recovery by pressing power+home+volume up button. flash your cfautoroot and enjoy [emoji5] .

I get the same exact thing on a sm-g900t3 (Galaxy S5 - tmobile, north America) Oddly enough I can get https://twrp.me/devices/samsunggalaxys5qualcomm.html installed no problem, but whenever I try to install root, either the supersu.zip via twrp or chainfire's autoroot directly from his site, it just bootloops into recovery.

I actually got it working, by installing a different version of supersu. The one I had was an update-supersu. I then found the full version and it worked. It did reboot itself a couple of times. The cf autoroot did not work for me at all. I opened it up in 7-zip and only saw cache and recovery, nothing related to supersu. I would like to tell anyone that the roms from sammobile did work, but I had to try a couple of them before i found the one which would flash properly.
If you extract the boot.IMG (or recovery.IMG I don't remember but not cach.ext4) and flash it via TWRP it does the trick. That's what worked for me.
