Cannot get Factory reset to work. Is this because of root? How can I get it to work?

I have upgraded my FT101 to the stock ICS, and then rooted. Now I'd like to wipe all the personal stuff (gmail account, setup, apps, widgets, etc.). Can I simply do it through factory reset? Or do I have to unroot it first? Thanks in advance for your help!
Factory reset will do that just fine. Root doesn't matter at all for this.

Thanks for the kind help! Would it be still rooted after factory reset?

Yes. It will be still rooted.
Factory reset is just formatting /data. The rest of the system (root included) is left unmodified.

Hi Folks,
My phone doesn't seem to lock my exact location on any of the mapping apps. I have tried downloading all possible GPS apps but nothing seemed to work. Is factory resetting my phone is the only solution? I have a Verizon version.
I have couple of questions:
1. I am rooted and I have TWRP installed. if I factory reset, am I going to lose both?
Your help is highly appreciated.

Factory reset wipes the data partition, not system. You won't lose root or TWRP.
The only app I use for GPS is FasterGPS
It might help with the speed. Hopefully you can get it working.
Hi scottdanpor,
Thanks much for quick reply. I am going to try the app you suggested, if that didn't work. I'll factory reset it.
Will post back if it solves my issue.

Sorry!
I tried to downgrade my rooted firmware from 511070220 to 510058520. After reboot I get a lockscreen. Anyone know how to fix this?
Only pressing the option key brings me to the regular menu.

I have the two sites blocked and cwm installed. Is a factory reset safe?

Yes. It will keep your device rooted after the factory reset.
