MAybe someone has run across this problem, and can help...I have wiped and installed a few roms already, and got them all set up,and they have worked fine.I'm using twrp 3.0.2.2 to make backups,so i can try other roms.BUT,every time i restore a backup,i get the error message "Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped" at boot up.I can't do anything on the phone,as that message keeps popping up so quick.
So i did a factory reset, and installed a different rom,got it all set up,then made a backup.Restored that backup, and the same thing happened, only on this rom i also had a message scrolling across the top of the phone that said "No SIM Card-Emergency calls only" along with "Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped" any hep would be appriciated....Thank you
No help to offer, only to say that I'm ha I g the same problem on all versions of twrp...

So,your having the same issue when you restore a backup??...Maybe its TWRP ? I flashed over twrp and installed philz touch.Just made a backup, but will not try and do a restore,as i don't have the time to start working on the phone again till next weekend.
dont use 3.0.2-2, its buggy. Just flash 3.0.2 in Odin mode and use that. 3.0.2-2 has been buggy for MANY users, myself and a a friend of mine who is a solid developer and unix admin for a huge company. Trust me, just stay away from 3.0.2-2 for the time being
Thanks for the tip!

Wow,it says "Restore works, but does require special steps as mentioned by haggertk in op. You need to restore twice, no reboot in between, and delete shared_prefs and database folder in data/data/com.android.providers.telephony" So its the rom?? Do you think it would work if i deleted those folders, then booted into recovery to make a backup?

Have a look at the lineage 14.1 thread for the G901f.
With a "Phone stopped" after TWRP restore you should run in Recovery/Advanced/Terminal
"restorecon -R /data"
As I say in that thread...... worked for me.
HTH.

reflash the last working rom. if you dont have it in your storage, youll have to push it to your phone over adb via your recoverys adb push option.

Okay so I have the sprint LG G2 and was being an idiot messing around with the hidden menu and I selected an option fota update test or something and my device rebooted. Now it only reboots into recovery mode. I have TWRP 2.6.3.2. It tells me that it cannot find my backup. The Log file says E:storage partition //twrp/backups not found. I dont know what to do. Ive tried flashing roms, but it just reboots back into recovery every time even when I tell it to reboot bootloader. Any Ideas?
It's fixed! I used the Lg flash tool with the sprint .tot file and she is alive! Thanks all of you I appreciate it.

This is what you need to do.Dont worry nothing is messed up,the phone will be back after this one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2451696
I did the second option since i find it easier to do.
you can simply use TWRP's awesome "terminal command" option to run the following:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/fota

Hey thanks for responding. I tried doing that just now and it still keeps rebooting in recovery. I did the first option though. I cant find where to enter commands on TWRP. It just tells me to pick a folder.
Can anybody help? I'm pretty desperate here. I just dont know why twrp deleted my backup. I had one on there that I used all the time and now it says it cant find it. It just keeps rebooting into recovery mode.

If you typed it properly and it doesnt work, then i dont know...I have done what you did before to try it out, since i knew how to fix it.And it worked just fine.

are you on sprint? Thats what im on. I tried that method, but got stuck on this part: 4) Now unplug your phone, power off and then go back into download mode again, volUp+USB. It should immediately connect and start flashing.
When I would go to unplug it and reboot into download mode it just wouldn't do anything the app would just say ready.
I somehow got my nandroid back but when Its done flashing it just reboots back into recovery. I dont know whats going on.
Man this is so frustrating. Ive tried all these things and it still only boots recovery even after flashing my nandroid I made awhile back. Im stuck and dont know what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Are you sure that you did the 2nd method properly?Try once more and double check what you type. Why this worked for me when i did the same but it doesnt work for you..Nothing much you can do atm either that,or download a kdz rom and try to upgrade with flashtool.
Thanks for trying to help me out. I got it fixed by using the lg flash tool. I feel like such an idiot. Ive been coming around these forums for awhile I just never registered. I consider myself pretty good with tech but im self taught so their is alot of trial and error and noob mistakes. +1

Unfortunately my phone is going directly in to CWM Recovery after showing LG Logo after reboot. I am able to access the Recovery option -> Install Zip. but I am not able to transfer even any custom rom to the phone.
Is there any option of transfer the zip files to the phone right now in my case.
Rgds,
Hi everyone! I recently decided to install the 4.4.2 rom on my Galaxy Note 3 N9005 and I didn't like it because it obviously was buggy as ,entioned in the thread. So I wanted to go back to my nandroid backup which I had made before installing the rom. It all went right in CWM and no errors, so I rebooted my phone and got stuck at the glowing samsung logo, so after many fixes and things I tried which didn't work I flashed a pre-rooted stock rom for it and it all went well. I managed to restore to my nandroid finally and then I unlock my phone to find a "com.google.process.gapps has been stopped" message which wont go away when I tap "OK". It just comes back and gives me one second untill it comes back again. I really need help since I need my phone for work, I have tried reinstalling all the gapps, wont work, I have tried reflashing the stock rom and restoring my nandroid again, I have tried deactivating "Downloads" in the app manager but that wont fix it either and finally I have tried clearing the "app data" for all my apps but again, no luck. If anyone would be able to help me I would appriciate it very much. Thanks in advance!
You're probably gonna have to go back to complete stock. Grab your stock image and flash via odin, boot it up and see if it gives you the error without installing custom recovery and your backup. That way you'll know where the error lays.

Forgot to mention but when I return to complete stock there isn't such a message, only when I restore to my nandroid. I also tried restoring from an older backup which I had made like 2 months ago and the same problem remains, "com.google" message is still there. Any suggestions or should I just start over?

Sounds like a dodgy backup or it somehow got corrupted, I'd start over to save any headaches for future reference -- It's a headache I know, but safer I think. You could hang five, see if anyone else chimes in with any other ideas though

A nandroid backup is simple but monolithic. Most people also use Titanium Backup for the ability to restore selective stuff, or to restore to a completely different model of phone.
I had same issue
Bith titanium and nandroid restore.
Well only way to save your self. Completing wizard of first startup with feeling google..
And just restore user apps and data with titanium except google stuff..
This is the only healthy restore method so far i know that gapss.com keeps kool

So I somehow managed to go to settings and disable Play Services with the one second time line that I had before the message appears again, and the message stopped. So it must be something with Play Services. Since i'm new to android (and the Note 3 is my first android phone) I want to ask if there is a way to maybe reinstall Plaay Services?

Hi, there! I just got almost the same issue like you. Once update to custom 4.4.2, any nandroid backups which worked right before getting GAPPS' FC constantly. :crying: Try double wipes, flash 4.3 gapps full package, stop&restart android download, uninstall google play store update, etc. nothing can fix it. Only way stop the popup error, is flash stock rom. But, consequently, lose root access, even with the same method that rooted the stock rom before. I'll heard some guy said the 4.4.2 has different partition from 4.3 or older android rom. But don't mention how to restore the old partition way. So, hope anyone can help us out, thanks a lot.
I have a 306sh and got it fully rooted with TWRP installed. Today i was messing around in rom toolbox and disabled tthe following: Phone, Phone Storage, And Messaging because i currently don't have the phone activated. After a reboot I am faced with a never ending stream of pop ups "Unfortunately, the process com.android.systemui has stopped" and "Unfortunately, Phone has stopped". I cant get past these nessages because when i press ok they pop right back up. Will a hard reset fix this or is there a way to fix this without a full reset, maybe a way to fix in TWRP? Any and ALL help is appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

Edit. Do a reset in twrp if you did not make a backup.

How did you get it rooted and TWRP installed? Last I looked it wasn't possible, only temp root and no ability to write to system. This is the second time I had this same issue and I'd rather not wait a week for sprint to replace it again...
Nvm, got root, still have my process com.android.phone stopped nonstop pop up! No amount of factory reset and clear cache helps, so if someone could hook me up with a backup I'd really appreciate it. Funny because I can open Phone app just fine....
can you send the backup to me? My email address is [email protected]
Nobody has a proper backup? The only one I can find anywhere is the one posted in this thread and it has been turned into a wifi device. I was able to get voice and SMS functions working, but can't seem to get contacts working. Attempts to install gapps just seems to break most the already installed gapps and still end up missing the people app...
Hello guys, i am new here. So this is my problem. I got a Note 3 International N9005 i flashed the DarkWolf_FW S7 Edge Rom and after that i flashe the idle Kernel for Port 7.
After that my phone boot up but i didnt show the homescreen. So i went back to my normal Kernel Darklord Marshmellow Kernel.
But from then on i couldnt find my music, pictures etc. anymore.
My system didnt recognize that i have a internal and external storage.
My Pc just show one storage wth 128MB with nothing in it.
But when i go to TWRP Recovery it show me all my files.
So the problem is i cant see them files on my phone.

OMG Thank you. It worked !
App crash, Process System Message after flash = Go Back & Restore.
Dont ignore and proceed after getting 'process system is not responding' -- press OK & flash your backup as there is a problem, there should be no error like this. I found flashing kernel with Odin3.6.10 was more successful a process. It can also be an issue with the recovery rather than the kernel file.
