Are there any working boot logo mods for the moto g4 mpj24.139-63 (north EU)? I've been searching and searching but everything I find is always the g1, g4 plus, some american edition (I think) that looks different in some ways (is the moto g 2015 the same thing or what?), stuff said to be "for osprey" whatever that means, etc. Or just clickbait like on all those no-name sites you find on google.
I can't for the life of me find anything that just says "do this to have a custom boot logo on the moto g4".
Thanks for any fruitful pointers
Edit: this is the closest I've found, but I dont know what "for osprey" means and my screen is 1920*1080, not 1280*720

The developer of the phenomenal and game changing xposed extension "gravitybox" has said that he can't really fix the problems to get it working without a physical device in his hand.
I am waiting to hear back from him, but I would like to get is to collectively chip in to buy him one if he'll agree to support the x .
Who is in? Please share the amount you will throw in, and I'll update the OP with the list of supporters and their commitments.
I'll do 10.
$40 from me
I'll give 10$
$20 from me
Just as update:
I heard from the developer, who was uncomfortable with me buying him a phone. I wrote back clarifying that it would be the community at large buying, and I'm hoping to get a better response from him!
That being said, the new version boots fine, and all of the features that I use personally are working fine!

Do you mean GravityBox 5.0.0alpha is working for you? Or is it some other version that you are referring to?
I initially bought the ATT variant of the victara xt1097 but realized that I couldn't root it cause of the locked bootloader so I bought the pure version. So I have a extra x in brand new condition I'll would be happy to donate to him but I don't know if it would be of any help because of the locked bootloader. Anyway if it would be a help at all just pm me so I can send it

Doesn't look like it's been released yet. Maybe @sha_tan is beta testing.

I solved it by rebooting at least 3 times. Then it worked 90% perfectly (some functions are not working well....).

I've been having another "issue", and I'd be glad if you could help me, please.
Well, I have made some changes in my navbar with XBlastTools as holding it to open the whatsapp application, but I'd like to clear that and make my navbar "original" again, you know? But I couldn't. I've already uninstalled XblastTools, but can't have my original navbar with no modifications. I'd like to make some mods with the GravityBox app, but Gravitybox doesn't overlap the XblastTools mods. Do you know how can I fix this, please? Thanks.

we got only genesix developing a lineage kernel for g4 and i think he would agree with me that this is not possible.

srry if wrong section , looks like this method can work on all android versions ,i will ask the devloper you told me about and see what he would say
There are different ways to do this. ramdisk or in /system . I want to do this for booting twrp on locked devices soon. I just waited because I had the hope unlocking would be possible by patching aboot but that seems to be not so I will start the alternative method.

@mattschwantes Is the Wi-Fi part patched in the source code? I want to make builds shortly after the August security patches are merged for Lineage OS.

I've given everything to Sam to patch/update. I thought he had done and built already, but maybe there is a delay? There's really not that much to the wifi fix for 720. 52X is the big pain that is disturbing my sleep.

Maybe you can request write access to the Android4Lumia repositories from @SJR (Sam). I really want to make a Lineage OS 14.1 in some days since there are no Android 7.1.2 based builds by him.
Is it a kernel patch?
Sent from my Motorola Moto G4 using XDA Labs
mattschwantes said:
Not really kernel related. You just need to push correct WCNSS_QCOM_WLAN_NV.BIN to the correct location. Only problem is it gets overwritten by a symlink during the build process. Someone would have figured this out eventually. Unfortunately this only works on 720. 52X has a different issue.
