hmm, thats not possible. only cm10/android 4.
we got only genesix developing a lineage kernel for g4 and i think he would agree with me that this is not possible.

srry if wrong section , looks like this method can work on all android versions ,i will ask the devloper you told me about and see what he would say
There are different ways to do this. ramdisk or in /system . I want to do this for booting twrp on locked devices soon. I just waited because I had the hope unlocking would be possible by patching aboot but that seems to be not so I will start the alternative method.

Everybodys is porting cool custom roms for ze550kl but nobody's porting the beautiful Miui rom
But if this rom would come to our device then it would be something great for us
So I am requesting senior members and developers in creating a Mi UI rom for ze550kl
Hopping to get replies :good:
I'd love to see this happen as well
I've heard good things about MIUI 8, so I'll second this request. Or third, if you're keeping count lol.

Kinda surprised no one seems to be interested in this, course I'm not saying this would be an easy task or else everyone could port it and I also understand that the developers on XDA have families and lives outside of this place and this is in no way any type of rush but I'm just saying that if I had the knowledge I'd be doing this myself. I will try and read about doing something like this and try and put forth effort in helping if anyone is willing to take this on. I appreciate all you developers have and do for us, thank you all.

Pretty sure the only users wanting it are the ones who won't port it, otherwise someone would be making it.
We'll have to wait and see.

Honestly, I'd be happy with anything new. Kali Nethunter is nice for those that use it, but I don't have the time to learn as I'd like to. I'd love a good solid AOSP rom with a custom kernel and all the goodies, but I'll settle for whatever's available since I don't have a spare ZF2L to donate to the cause.
Yeah wish somebody would create a beta rom i could help by fixing bugs
LEts just hope for MIUI 8 cuz LOlIPOP Roms are outdated

Yes, you need Linux,
and no, not really, if things broke you need to fix that, some fix can easily "cherry-picked", if not, (most of them?), here, you need the "programming" things

Hey guys,
Meticulus stopped working on CM, I'm using the rom as my daily driver and loved every update or fix, so sad and a big loss for every CM lover...
My question is, is there a developer who goes on with the rom or does the development really stops?
And does anyone know a solution for the bluetooth pair bug? Thanks!
As I know, someone is working on Paranoid Android for P9 Lite and managed to boot it (as meticulus said) but nobody is working on CM as far as I know..

Mod Edit
I followed the cyanogenmood thread all the time and I don't think that anyone made demands to meticulus. Also I don't think that people were ungrateful (what meticulus claims). For example I am a student and though I spend some money to get a device for meticulus. I did not expect from him that he must develop the rom but I expected from him honest work and not to stop developping out of not understandable reasons..
Afterall, @Meticulus had gone way too far out of its development. We can still thank him for bringing us that development and also to sponsors.. hope other dev will come and continue the support so that the progress will continue..

and this becouse @YuZaGa dont mention me
this is a good way to update or downgrade the firmware(no need ODIN) but what i test 'till now, dont work
the TWRP just dont want to write the neded partitions for upgrade.
i tested the script from miui(miui has a script for firmware -upgrade) too and the same result "nothing changed"
i will try to add lines in script for mounting every partitions, one by one maybe this will work
Thanks! again for you mention me for this, but how i sed all the time i'm not a developper, just a porter
so please dont espect to me to do miracles

I kind of did mention but got your name wrong.
This works for lenovo a6000 and a6000+.
And this works for other phones also. Initially I was scared that I may end up doing some harm to the bootloader. And that's why I never went ahead.
Since TWRP is working on both mm and lp bootloader this makes are task much easier. I also saw a samsung device being upgraded like this. Shall I give the link??

Maybe you can request write access to the Android4Lumia repositories from @SJR (Sam). I really want to make a Lineage OS 14.1 in some days since there are no Android 7.1.2 based builds by him.
Is it a kernel patch?
Sent from my Motorola Moto G4 using XDA Labs
mattschwantes said:
Not really kernel related. You just need to push correct WCNSS_QCOM_WLAN_NV.BIN to the correct location. Only problem is it gets overwritten by a symlink during the build process. Someone would have figured this out eventually. Unfortunately this only works on 720. 52X has a different issue.
