[Q] need some help with boot.img

hi guys,
my find 5 was having some reboot issues (it was rebooting a few times per day) and that was a bit anoying. I was using an old original FW so i decided to update to a newer one. Heard good stuff about the Omni so i went for that, so i was using TWRP 2.4.1.0 (i think... i'm sure it was 2.4.x) and on the omni page they said we have to use TWRP 2.6 so i went for an update.
here, i think, i've created my problem. I used the new flashify app to install the TWRP but instead of choose recovery img i choosed to flash the boot and i guess i'd flashed the TWRP on the boot.
well anyaway, now i'd installed the TWRP 2.6.3.1 i manage to start the phone in fastboot and recovery all good here, i install every rom nice and easy over TWRP but the phone simply doesn't start, it gets stuck on Touchscreen Firmware Update please wait.... this happens ALWAYS with what version of TWRP or even if i install CWM...
my guess is that i'd messed up some partition or so i don't really know what but i'd tried to format every partition that TWRP let me and still getting the freackin Touchscreen Frim updt screen... so need some Pro help to help me undo the mistake i'd done...
thanks for everything
On the official Oppo forum's there's a guide on how to install the latest Omnirom. Under known issues it says:
5)After installing the TWRP recovery the Screen Touch firmware update goes on for more than 5-7 minutes, do a hard reboot and you would be fine,

I haven't tried it myself since I didn't get the problem when flashing Omni and Asylum, but it seems to be worth a shot.

Nexus 4 stuck on Lollipop boot animation

Hello everybody!
I followed this instruction to root my Nexus 4. After complete the instruction and reboot the phone I got a message 'Unfortunately SuperSU has Stopped working' and to fix this issue I followed this instruction.
After that when I reboot again my nexus 4 stuck in lollipop boot animation and at this point bad news for me is that apparently usb debugging has been disabled because when I run 'adb devices' I don’t receive any device name.
Could anybody help me please to resolve it?
If u have twrp recovery go for factory reset from there or u can use adb sideload. Otherwise look for the unbrick toolkit.
Ps: Lollipop takes lot longer to fresh install, the animation seems to go on for ages (15-20) mins or so.
Since the phone has LP, I assume you flashed a custom ROM.
Just boot into TWRP, copy over a custom ROM, wipe system, data, cache, flash ROM, flash Gapps, reboot.

I have a new problem

Sorry for the spam guys but I am having massivle failures just trying to install twrp. So this is what happened:
I install twrp
it auto reboots
stuck in bootloop
i wipe data cahce dalvik system
reboot, still in bootloop
i flash a custom rom to 'try' get rid of boot loop
the device shows the sm g928i logo and then turns off forever
I cant even turn it on until now...
I try to hold all buttons down and I go into download mode. Thats all I can do. Currently I am installing a stock rom.
But guys can you tell me how twrp got overwritten by the default recovery one?
update 1: Ok i think the device booted properly. after flashing
edit: Its just stuck on the samsung logo just pulsing
edit: I rooted cf autoroot and it is now back at it again with the boot loops
edit: it booted back up and Im checking root
edit: I still got the basic recovery. gonna go ahead and reinstall twrp but will not check auto reboot. Lets ee how it goes.
edit: Im in australia so I dont know which twrp recovery to go for: europe or america?
Thanks.

if u want to use custom rom just follow proper steps and it will install.
-unlock bootloader (which i assume u already have)
-fastboot boot latest twrp
-do a full wipe and reboot to bootloader.
-again fastboot boot the latest twrp
-now copy rom, gapps, magisk(mandatory) and twrp installer(optional)
-install rom and twrp installer only
-reboot to booatloader and fastboot boot twrp again or if u installed twrp installer just reboot to recovery.
-now flash magisk and gapps
-reboot system
By mistake if u flashed factory.bat then read this : https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a1/how-to/guide-how-to-restore-imei-permanently-t3759190
if your phone is rebooting after every 60 sec then u most probably corrupted /persist. Don't worry custom roms will work without any problem as they don't touch persist.
did you by chance used flash_factory.bat in mi flash tool ?

thank you for help
i will try to use custom rom and i hope it will work
and i did use flash_all_lock_crc.bat in mi flash tool then i'm start getting the restart problem with unread sim card
use flash_all_lock.bat only or flash all except storage.bat or flash_all.bat .except these nothing else.
flash custom rom or flash_all_lock.bat in mi flash tool (it will work work most probably).

Mi 9T only booting to TWRP

Hi! I just tried to install my first custom ROM, and I don't really think it worked...
Can someone please look through the steps I took and tell me exactly where I f-ed up and why I'm an idiot? Right now my phone shows the boot logo for a few seconds, and then boots right to TWRP.
Here is what I did:
1. I downloaded resurrection remix and magisk to my computer and transferred the .zips to my Mi 9T.
2. I booted to (the official) TWRP and made a backup. Now, here I know I really f-ed up, because I didn't save the backup on my computer, only on the phone... And I know exactly how stupid that is right now.
3. Anyways, I wiped the data and such according to instructions...
4. ...and installed first the ROM, then magisk.
5. When I tried to reboot it went into TWRP again, and the files looked like they were encrypted. I tried to restore the backup, but of course it was also encrypted.
6. Okay, a tiny bit of panic. Since I can't really do anything, I feel like the only option is to format the data (was that a bad idea? maybe, probably...)
7. I install the latest firmware for Europe and try to install the ROM again. (without magisk this time)
8. it boots (with the xiaomi boot logo) and then straight to TWRP.
9. The last thing I tried was installing xiaomi.eu, and this gave some progress. Now it has a new boot-logo (white Mi logo with mi.com under it. No "powered by android" text). It takes a bit longer to boot, but eventually goes back to TWRP.
I am so sorry if I'm stupid, but can someone please help me with this?
Edit: I solved it. Just had to format data and reboot.

Wipe is not the same as format - wiping is much less than formating
If Instructions say to Format, you had to FORMAT DATA (not to wipe)
